1 Night-time Escapades (part1)

A million thoughts must've passed through my mind in that one moment. And even then, all I could think was; I thought we were better than this.

How could she have done this to me and especially so heartlessly?

She knew how it would've affected me and yet...

She chose to ruin my entire life with those four little words.

For a sliver of a second I briefly remembered about the job that we were supposed to do together in a few minutes.

It was almost eight o'clock. I should be getting ready, but what's the point now.

We were usually paid half of the fees in advance for these peculiar 'services' that we provided.

But how could I face her now? I couldn't.

Not after what happened this morning...

Right now I was sure of two things.

1. I was going to have to reimburse our clients later.

2. Because I was not doing this job with Alana, not tonight... not ever again.

That witch!

When a knock came at the door a few seconds later the crease in my eyebrows indented further outlining the scowl that was undoubtedly already engraved in my facial features.

I didn't attempt to move, only because I knew it was her and I didn't particularly feel like seeing her right now.

Why was she here interrupting my silent brooding?

A few more seconds passed before the knocking came again. All I did in response was to make myself more comfortable on the plush black leather couch.

Again she knocked. The sound reverberated through the huge wooden door and ricocheted throughout the dark room.

There was a moment of silence before she spoke, but when she did speak I angrily having an internal debate of whether her words were supposed to make me feel better convince me to strangle her and burn her corpse to a crisp.

"Blake I know you're in there", from under the door I could see her shadow as she moved around uncomfortably.

When I didn't respond she spoke again. "Are you still upset about this morning?"

Of course I was still upset about this morning!

I didn't say that though, in fact I didn't say anything. Until-

"Blake sweetie? Please open the door!", Then there was a pause. "Look, I was kidding. I lied okay?".

I was at the door quicker than Aunt Carolyn's heart attack.

Our eyes met immediately, from where I pushed my head thought the small crack of the now opened door.

She had the nerve to smile at me, "Come on Blake, we need to get going or else we'll be late".

I chose to ignore that.

My teeth clenched, "What do you mean, you lied?", I said the words slowly, my voice laced with venom.

She laughed awkwardly, her eyes focused everywhere else but at me.

"You know how you can be a dick sometimes", she trailed off as I just stared at her deadpan, "anyways, this morning you were being really rude and I wanted to get back at you so... I lied".

I let go of the door and it swung open disclosing my full figure that towered over Alana's smaller more petite body.

Slowly, I leaned towards her until our faces were only centimeters apart from each other and I stared her directly in the eyes.

My voice was a couple hundred degrees below zero when I spoke, "You what?"

"I... lied", she choked out even though it sounded more like a question.

I scoffed in complete disbelief. "So what you're saying is that..."

"The producers are not cancelling Castle season four. I lied okay!", she blurted out, "but you were being very inconsiderate and rude about my breakup with Patrick-" that was a complete lie by the way all I did was say: 'I had a feeling it wouldn't last' then muttered, 'Conner owes me fifty bucks' as an afterthought.

"- and I wanted to make you feel a portion of what I was feeling!".

My eyes widened, "So you lied about my favorite show being cancelled!" I asked incredulously, "what kind of psychopath does something like that?".

"It shut you up didn't it", she had the audacity to smirk.

"You're a monster", I retorted. Half joking but still half serious.

Because she knew and I knew that, that movie was the only thing I cared about in life.

I had spent hours online looking for proof that it was really cancelled and found squat. I only believed her because her brother's friend's cousin works on the actual set for the movie.

We found that out last month.

"I'm sorry alright", she sounded more serious now, "but... you suck".

"And you swallow", I retorted, conjuring up a smirk of my own.

She rolled her eyes choosing to ignore what I said, "Blake, let's just go", she pleaded, "we're already late, so go get dressed".

*******

It was past eight thirty when Alana and I arrived at the event, but the fashion show didn't begin until nine o'clock. I didn't know or care where she had disappeared to but I was sitting at the bar having a few drinks while simultaneously planning my revenge on Alana for convincing me that Castle was cancelled.

The stool moved beside me and I turned briefly to find an alluring young blonde, she couldn't have been more than twenty-one, no doubt she was one of the models taking part in the show tonight. I mean her make-up was flawless and she was currently the most beautiful woman I've seen all year, definitely a ten out of ten.

I hadn't realized I was obviously raking my eyes over her entire body until I stopped long enough to realize that she was practically eyes raping me already.

I smirked behind the glass of Vodka as I took another sip. Purposefully removing my gaze from her.

"Hey", she finally says and I automatically detect the French accent in her voice. I offered her a half-hearted nod before she spoke again, "I've never seen you before, are you here to work on the show?".

When she sensed my confusion she spoke again, "You're a model right?".

I laughed to myself, "No... but I do get why you would think that. The names Blake by the way".

"Natasha", she introduced, offering me her hand. I didn't shake it, instead I placed a chaste kiss on her knuckles causing her to blush crimson.

She didn't seem repulsed by my ego yet.

"Are you in the show tonight Natasha?", I inquired, my eyes searching hers teasingly all the while.

"We'll have to see won't we", she replies signaling the bartender to pour her a drink.

"I look forward to the show then", I replied only just noticing Alana making weird signals to me from across the room.

My eyes came back to Natasha.

"I have to go", is all the explanation I give as I finished my drink and walked towards Alana.

"What the hell are you doing?", She scolded, "you know that's not the reason why we're here".

My eyes glanced back to Natasha. "What!", I exclaimed, "she's hot".

"Focus Blake", Alana instructed.

I inhaled deeply, putting all distractions to the back of my mind.

"Where is she?", I inquired sourly. Alana however looked enthusiastic that I was back on track so quickly.

"She's in dressing room three", Alana informed, "don't screw this up or the client will be pissed".

I knocked on the door to the dressing room numbered 'three' a few minutes afterwards. The door opens slowly and the behind it I could see Selena. Once the brunette noticed it was me her brown eyes widened and she quickly yanked me inside closing the door behind me with a loud thud.
