29 Night Envoy

"Heh… that's impossible…" Hebbal answered with confidence booming in his voice, and Duncan nodded his head…

"If you don't believe me you can check, a glowing skeleton also killed a beautiful goblin…"

The three at the table looked at each other in disbelief… They appeared to be all thinking the same thing, and no demon should be able to kill a warlord's son…

"You mean that skeleton from the other day?" Hebbal cracked his knuckles still in disbelief…

What would happen to his dragonkin if Vernal's son really died… It was better to go check and make sure nothing bad happened to him, but the divination process was almost finished…

"Yes… it was the same glowing skeleton… he stabbed her over and over again in front of me…"

"Seriously! He's not supposed to die… We needed him to live to keep control of this string dimension…" The dragon cracked a wine glass that was in his hand, and the divination ship was still spinning in the air…

It was wavering towards Duncan, and he didn't understand what was just said… So, wait… his slaughter mission just caused a war?

This was absolutely great!

It was like waking up and not remembering how that beautiful plate of food ended up next to you…

He had a few of those nights, and this was even better!

"I'm sorry, sir! It's impossible that he isn't dead… He foamed a river of blood and bones along the floor, and clearly swallowed a toxic poison!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" The dragon got up and grabbed his hand around Duncan's throat…

"You should've stopped him! Curse you for being protected!"

He dropped Duncan to the ground, and he stormed off to go check on Phoenix… Currently, Phoenix was killing as many orderlies as possible, so he imagined he'd be dead in just a minute… In fact, now seemed like a great time to leave, and he bowed before leaving the tent…

If he didn't leave now, well… he'd be like the zombies that were killed from Hebbal's anger… There was a path of flames, and he walked the opposite way of those flames…

All the zombies, at this moment, were fleeing for their lives, and a few battleships were floating in the night sky…

He'd learn in his ten days here that this was a night envoy, but it appeared to not be heading southwest…

The southwest apparently held something special…

He was in the Monte Vernon islands for approximately 4 and a half months, and he'd seen many of these ships head that direction… This ship though seemed upset at the sky, and Duncan noticed it heading towards his current location…

[Ding! Host is in luck! In order for the night envoy to land… they will have to open the defensive array, so host will be able to finally stop working for the dragon…]

[Would you like to accept the mission, escape from the eyes of plenty?]

[There is a fierce perimeter of zombie guards around the camp, and the host is recommended to leave as the envoy descends… If host doesn't he will most likely be killed, and the patrol will be on full alert looking for host… Would host like to accept the mission?]

[Reward 1000 experience, and one heart devourers sword (uncommon)...]

"Did you really just turn that into a mission?"

[Ding! Yes... Please accept immediately or system will not be able to provide host with proper direction to exit!]

"Oh... so missions control the arrow? I accept!"

[Ding! Host has accepted the mission, and has to leave immediately... Hence, it is important to watch out for anything unexpected...]

Sigh...

Duncan took in a deep breathe, and knew he had to be careful...

At this time, the arrow spun towards the northwest, and large bolts of fire fumed in the sky around the rehabilitation center…

He was guessing this was Hebbel killing Phoenix, and he was dead wrong..

[Ding! Phoenix has caused an explosion in the magic generator room of the rehabilitation center…]

[Phoenix has died for a good cause, and his remains have been disintegrated during the blast…]

[Host has received 2000 experience from the 1000 fatalities of various medical workers who were on staff]

[Ding! Your summon skeleton skill has leveled up to level 11!]

The system's voice in Duncan's head made him smile as the night envoy got closer and closer…

As for that arrow, it pointed directly towards the platoon of zombie guards his system was talking about earlier...

There was over 1000 zombies standing there, and he recognized a few of them…

However, he had to get them to leave because they were in the way of the exit!

"Help! Help! There is a fire in the rehabilitation center! Please send help! Hebbal will kill anyone who doesn't go!" Duncan pointed towards the mushroom cloud in the sky, and felt very proud of Phoenix…

That was loyalty…

Even if he became a slave, would he blow himself up for his master?

However, those staff were really weak… each of them were only worth 2 experience, and the zombies in front of him stoodfast…

"Hmph, we're not your average zombies… we must remain here no matter what happens at the fort!"

"Yes, don't think of us as foolish!"

There was approximately 100 zombies in this horde before he said that, and now there was two who stoodfast, and he his silver blade pierced forward…

"Hmph, you dare disobey me!" Duncan stabbed the one on the left over and over again… as he had the higher level…

He had to play his part well…

Zombies regularly expressed their superiority, and the other zombie ran off until the other zombie was completely dismembered…

"And… that's what you get!" Duncan kicked his head into the distance noticing it fell past a very familiar rock…

If he passed that rock, he'd be passed the defensive array, and sure enough… Enna was actually standing there holding her hand up at the ships…

"Enna… I really, really need to leave… Please don't do what I think you're about to do…"
