Was I really cursed because of that one comment I made? Victoria's soul almost went out of her body thinking of the possibility.

"H-hey, it was just a small meaningless comment. Nothing personal. Why not let me go?"

Cold sweats dropped down her forehead. The silence was traumatizing.

Just a moment ago she was in her room sleeping soundly when suddenly something dragged her body into this strange portal. Reaching a large white room.

After much thinking, she came to a conclusion. "I must be dreaming." The female said so, yet knew that was not the case. What did she not do to prove that?

"Hey, you." A young voice came from behind.

She spun around quickly. Seeing there was a hologram in clear view. It showed what seemed like a child, no older than 10.

Hair as bright as the sun and clear blue eyes. The young kid looked like a water fairy.

"Who are you little kid and what do you want from me?" Victoria scowled. Already in a bad temper from waking up so early. But, now this young kid calling out to her with no respect.

"I may look young. But, I am older than you by hundreds of years, hmph!"

The older female's eyes almost bulged from her head.

"You are no older than 10, yet you dare lie to me? Do you take me as a fool? You want to die?"

With the two people holding their glare, the child continued nevertheless.

"I'm a system, made for the sole purposes of giving missions. Right now you are the villainess in the book, 'The Craving Hearts'."

"Do you mean I'm the villainess inside a book I've just read?"

The system nodded, "You have a year to make the ML fall in love with you. If you fail, there will be serious consequences."

"What do you mean within a year? I'll make him fall in love with me in a month!"

"Do not get so cocky, it is difficult journey for a villainess." The system looks at her up and down. "You'll at most last a day."
