Bella shot a glance at King Jaren, who smiled sheepishly.

"Well, I thought it would be a good thing for Carolina to have a companion she liked and who loved her devotedly," he muttered. He turned to Queen Carolina. "But I didn't expect that he wouldn't tell you about Ivan until now."

Queen Carolina blinked. "Wait a moment – Jaren, you already knew about Ivan?" she asked.

King Jaren nodded. "Igor told me the last time we met – he was a bit worried about telling you, so he wanted to discuss with me," he said. "Naturally, I told him that you would be delighted to hear that your first child was alive and well!"

Queen Carolina pursed her lips, and her blue eyes sharpened like swords.

Bella and King Jaren exchanged a glance. Captain Shadow was in trouble!

"Does Ivan know?" Bella asked Queen Carolina.
