20 Epilogue: The Final Dream

Opening my eyes, i was taken aback seeing the blue clear sky once again.

Am i?...

Am i finally back?

"Kean!" That voice!

I stood up from the grassy field and tried to find her. "SASHA! WHERE ARE YOU!!" I screamed.

Then i heard her again. "Kean! Over here!" I looked at the direction where i hear her voice.

And from afar, i saw her waving at me. I couldn't believe it... i'm back to this world... i...

"Sasha!!!" I ran quickly to her and hugged her tightly as if i'd never let her go. She did the same and i heard her sobbing. "I-I thought you were never coming back!"

"I know, i'm sorry! I'm so sorry for leaving you!"

"Kean, don't ever leave me again..."

But then i realized, when i wake up, she'll be gone again. That it would take this long to see her again. So i poured out my heart and explained myself to her.

"I'm sorry, but i can't just yet... i... i can't stay in this place unless i'm still alive!"

She got confused and asked. "What do you mean by that, Kean?"

"I... i have to! I have to kill myself so i can be with you!" She have taken a few steps back while shaking her head. "No... you don't mean that, do you? Why would you kill yourself!?"

I kneeled down infront of her and cried. "Because if i don't, then i won't be able to be with you forever!"

"D-Don't!... you're crazy Kean, why would you kill yourself?! Please don't do such thing!"

I looked at her seriously and grabbed both of her hands, being the sincerest that i can be. "Please, trust me on this one Sasha... i... i don't want to be separated from you ever again. I want to stay by your side forever. I want to live a happy life with you."

She was hesitating, but in the end she couldn't resist. She also kneeled down and rested her head on my chest. "I think you're crazy Kean, but i love you... so... whatever you're trying to do, i'll trust you."

"Thank you, Sasha... thank you." After that, i let her go and left.

I kept hurting myself, thinking that i might wake up any moment. But violence wasn't working... i'm still asleep and dreaming all of this.

And so i thought of the shore nearby, maybe drowning myself can help me wake up from this.

I ran quickly as i can to make it to the shore and stared at the sea for a moment. I closed my eyes as whispering what i was wishing for.

"Please let me stay in this euphoria."



So i dive in and swam into the deep until i ran out of air.

I woke up when i actually drowned in my dream. And now that i'm back, i should do what i have to do. Looking at the knife i threw earlier, i surely wouldn't my death to be painful... but if this is the only option, i---

I suddenly remembered another useful thing i could use. I went to my own bathroom and opened my medicine cabinet, there i saw the sleeping pills i bought.

"If i swallow all of these, then i'd sleep forever huh?"

I went back to my bed and stared at the pills. Closing my eyes, i imagined Sasha being here for me. "Are you sure about this, Kean?"

I looked at her face that was full of worry and sadness. "I'm prepared for this, i told you that already."

She tried to smile at me. "I love you, Kean."

"Once this is all over, i can be with you forever, Sasha." Then i finally swallowed every sleeping pill i had.

While i was still awake, a smile formed on my lips. "I can finally be with you again, i can finally sta..."

As my eyes closed, i saw her once again... "Sasha, i'm back!" I happily told her.

She ran to me and hugged me tight.

"Welcome back home, Kean."
