It took a year for Ethan to gain 85 exp from the training he had done in order to increase his ability to level two. But the remaining 15 exp took longer than usual. It wasn't because Ethan was lacking in training or something. The increase in the exp had just become slower as he reached closer to level 2.

Ethan could just imagine from this, the time it would take him to further level up the ability. He currently needed 200 exp to reach level 3 which would according to his calculation take at least three to five years.

The next important thing that had changed in the system panel was the increase in exp of his Talent.

'Seems like I finally found a way to level up my talent,' Ethan wondered in excitement. This made him wanted to start the training right now so he could quickly increase the level of his ability, leading to increase in the level of talent. However he calmed himself down and focused more on the things that had changed after the breakthrough to level 2.

As Ethan focused on the changes in his body and abilities, he started to notice that his skin had indeed become significantly harder. It was as if a layer of protective armor had enveloped his entire body, making it almost impossible for weapons to even scratch him in the slightest. He ran his fingers over his skin, feeling the difference in texture and marveling at the newfound resilience.

The sense of invincibility that washed over him was both exhilarating and terrifying. It was as if he had been bestowed with an otherworldly gift.

In addition to the enhanced durability of his skin, Ethan could also sense that his regeneration had become stronger. Small injuries that would have taken days to heal before could now be mended almost instantaneously. His body had developed the previous healing factor, allowing him to shrug off wounds with remarkable efficiency.

Even more impressive was the fact that more severe injuries, such as deep lacerations and broken bones, were now healing within a matter of days.

As Ethan delved deeper into the extent of his newfound abilities, he discovered that injuries to vital organs, such as the heart and brain, could also be healed within a few months. This revelation was nothing short of miraculous, as it meant that even the most devastating internal injuries could be overcome with time.

Furthermore, to his astonishment, he realized that even a severed limb could be regenerated within a few months. The thought of his own severed limb growing back seemed almost surreal.

The breakthrough had brought an overall development to his physique. His physical strength and speed had reached the middle tier. His physical strength was now comparable to Edward Cullen.

Edward could be said as one of the fastest people in the world of Twilight. His speed could be said to be at the top tier which the current Ethan couldn't match.

But Ethan knew that with the next two upgrades he could easily defeat Edward as his entire physique would reach the top tier during that time. The only thing that missing was the combat experience.

From watching the movies, he tried to follow the training and methods shown by Jason in order to fight the vampires. But those all were effective only on the newborns after all.

Ethan's opponents would definitely be strong vampires with vast combat experience. So he needed to know how to fight properly too, well until he could have a powerful ability just like Jane with her Pain illusion or Alec with Sensory Deprivation.

'If only I had the Amaterasu from the Naruto Anime. How satisfying would it be to defeat the vampires without much trouble. The Amaterasu could burn the Vampires, destroying them completely, giving no chance to survive,' Ethan sighed.

He discarded those thoughts as he contemplated,' Should I try to learn different fighting styles from all over the world? Would it be even effective against the Vampires?'

Ethan had no problem learning that as he had a lot of time at hand.

Ethan stood in the heart of the dense forest, surrounded by towering trees that seemed to stretch up to the sky. The rustling of leaves and the distant hum of wildlife filled the air, creating a serene backdrop to his contemplation.

As he contemplated, an air of determination surrounded him. His mind was occupied with thoughts of the future battle against the vampires. He knew that he needed to be prepared if he was to stand a chance against them.

The idea of learning different fighting styles from all over the world appealed to him. He imagined himself mastering the grace and precision of the Japanese martial arts, the brute strength of Russian Sambo, the agility of Brazilian Capoeira, and the deadly techniques of Muay Thai. Each style had its own unique characteristics, and he believed that by studying them, he could develop a versatile approach to combat. It was important to him that he was not limited to a singular form of fighting, especially when facing opponents as formidable as the vampires.

Ethan also considered the possibility of finding a mentor, someone who could guide him and impart their knowledge of combat. He envisioned a wise martial arts master, much like those he had read in novels, who would teach him the ways of fighting and discipline. He knew that learning from an experienced practitioner would be invaluable, and he was willing to seek out such a mentor to enhance his skills.

'Maybe I should start with Krav Maga,' he mused, running his fingers over the glossy image of a fighter executing a perfectly timed strike. 'It's known for its brutal effectiveness and focus on real-world situations. That could definitely come in handy when facing off against vampires.'

Ethan had always been drawn to the idea of learning Krav Maga. Even in his previous world, the concept of this brutal and effective fighting style had fascinated him. He had spent countless hours watching videos and reading about the techniques used in Krav Maga, and he had always wanted to learn it himself. The idea of mastering Krav Maga seemed even more appealing to him now.

As he thought about the video of the fighter executing a perfectly timed strike, Ethan pictured himself in the midst of a vampire confrontation, employing the same swift, powerful moves. He knew that Krav Maga was designed for real-world situations, focusing on practical, no-nonsense techniques that could be used to defend oneself in the most dangerous of circumstances.

Ethan however stopped his daydreaming as his thoughts turned to the practicality of his training. He wondered if this fighting style would even be effective against the vampires.
