The supreme's harem

So in the formation arranged by Quentise, the stallion brigade rode out and headed back to the city, they reached the city walls within no time and halted before the city gates.

The distance from the Dahir oasis was a normal journey on horseback about four kilometers though it would become tedious on foot, so by the time they got to the city gates it was already dark, the sun had set and lit torches were hanging from the city walls illuminating the darkness with a bright orange glow.

"Identify yourself, or die at the hands of the almighty Dumaz." a seemingly arrogant voice at the top of the city walls proclaimed in a loud mocking tone.

"I'll smack your head if you don't stop getting full of yourself, open the gates for the stallions to enter or else you will lose your head." Aly who was at the forefront of the party replied in an angry tone

"It's getting late, you better open the gates or forget about waking up tomorrow." A stern voice from the rear added. All the stallion guards turned to look behind and their glances fell upon their commander; Quentise.

He was never a man that spoke rashly, every word was well thought before he uttered it, therefore all his words held gravity.

The guard at the top of the city walls recognized the voice and quickly shouted "Open the gates for the stallion brigade. They are back from the desert."

and he added in a cajoling tone

" Commander Quentise I am totally humbled in your presence, It's because it is very dark and i couldn't recognize the brigade. Please pardon my ignorant self."

"Trash like you deserve whipping, you shouldn't be standing guard at this gate with that arrogance, you should be at the front-line showing your arrogance to our enemies." Quentise replied.

The gate was an archway, and the doors were made of layers of acacia wood reinforced with iron screws and panels binding the layers together. The doors had a 12 inch thickness and were each two meters in width.

The hinges of the doors rumbled and squeaked as they were opened inwards to let the stallion brigade in.Every door needed four men to pull it while opening the gates and to push it while closing the gates.

"Aly, proceed with Yunus, to escort Ahmejaned and Rahzad, to the palace, the rest of you follow me." Quintese issued orders to the remaining members of the stallion brigade.

"We have to head back to the desert, there i some unfinished business we have to attend to there." Quintese said then turned his horse around and rode ahead of the remaining four soldiers. When they were a safe distance from the city gates.

Quintese halted his horse and turned to his sub-ordinates "There are caravans I spotted heading west across the desert when we passed the old Acacia tree. I suspect they are from the city and are trying to smuggle something out, It won't be harmless if we go check it out" he told them.

Yazuar stared at the steaming coffee in the glass cup etched with intricate designs and the royal insignia of the Azfar which was a black kite perched on a juniper tree.

Arabica coffee was the most acknowledged and socially accepted aphrodisiac in the Arabian world, therefore a special type of coffee was usually prepared for the supreme, it possessed stimulant properties for both the nervous system and the body, hence making one lively and vigorous.

The supreme had a harem of 11 pleasure women aside his official four wives, therefore he needed the strength from the coffee to remain an extraordinary lover to his partners. His hand reached for the glass, he lifted it off the stool, swirled it gently and gulped down the contents in it.

" Tonight is going to be one wonderful night." he thought to himself. "All these fleshy, tender, nubile maidens are at my disposal." He had a look of satisfaction on his face; he smirked his lips as he stared at the naked ladies he had summoned that were arraigned before him.

The coffee he had drunk, coursed through his veins, reigniting an ember and setting the supreme ablaze. He felt like grabbing one of the girls and thrusting her hard with cock. He motioned to one of the palace eunuchs to escort the beauty he had chosen to entertain him for the night. The eunuch did as he was told and came back to report to his master.

"She awaits your arrival, patiently in room 4." the eunuch informed the supreme. Upon receiving that information, the supreme clapped his hands to dismiss all the women of his harem back to their quarters. He stood up from the throne and moved to room 4.

"How I wish it was me the supreme had chosen for the night!!" one maiden bluntly said, her voice filled with longing, burning desire and lust. All the other 9 girls had a similar wish in their minds because it was a privilege to be chosen as the supreme's favorite.

However they just couldn't muster the courage to speak their minds like this girl had, so they reprimanded and scoffed at her for being a senseless, unrestrained, immoral girl without self-esteem.

After the jabber died down, all the maidens entered their rooms and prepared for the night's sleep. The sentinels on night duty reported to post and relived their colleagues of duty. The guards in-charge of guarding the palace were known as the Eagle guards and they were sub-divided into sections; the day guards were called the sun eagle sector and the night guards were known as the moon eagle guards.

The palace was divided into four wings, the east, west, north and south wings. The supreme held all ceremonies on the first floor where he had the banquet hall and the council room. The second floor had rooms that belonged to workers, slaves and masons alongside the palace eunuchs, the third floor had rooms that belonged to close relatives and family members and other noble children captured from principalities. And the last floor had rooms that the harem maidens slept and it also had the supreme's four master bedrooms, each owned by one of the four official wives.

It was on this Third floor that Ahmejaned, Rahzad and other children and youth of noble descent slept. Today was Ahmejaned's 19th birthday; the day when he was supposed to be enthroned and declared ruler of the Belthom empire as the rightful heir.

Ahmejaned woke up in the middle of the night and sat still on his bed. Rahzad was in the next room sound asleep. Ahmejaned stepped on the woolen carpet and recollected his thoughts. He couldn't afford to make mistakes tonight, He had to make haste and leave before the moon eagle guards found anything a miss.

"It has to be tonight..." he thought to himself.
