5 The Beginning of the Lecture

'Might as well get it over with.' Oji thought as he arrived at the lecture hall. There was the one teacher, moderately pretty even by Oji's broad horizons. Though given her pitiful cultivation she had the potential to develop into a heart stopper. Probably would never happen though, given her age was obviously above his own.

The 15 boys were too well fed and not trained hard enough for the stamina that often decided a fight. Plus they were clearly to indulgent and soft. He doubted they could be ruthless to a sworn enemy, let alone themselves. In his honest estimation, first impression at least, they were all trash.

The 9 girls were even worse. Giggling among each other while trying to subtly catch his eye. Oji knew he was handsome, but also knew the real reason they were targeting him. They were hoping to charm him into a recommendation to his sect or special tips. The bunch of stupid, useless sluts. If only they knew that Oji couldn't even provide either!

The red head teacher, with her face as red as her hair, asked Oji to start in a voice as meek as a mouse. The jealousy in the eyes of the boys told him she wasn't normally so reserved. "Once I begin there will be no stopping, no questions, no repeats and no interruptions. Is that understood?"

"Yes Sir!" The class answered in eager chorus. Oji felt like cursing when he saw the look in their eyes. It was like they were thinking he was about to tell them how to progress without even trying, or how to be invincible within their own stage. Though he could help them a lot with the second if they ignored the brainwashing of their lifetime.

"Is everyone here? Once the door is shut I will lock it with my own Essence since this information is considered secret in my Sect and is not to be shared beyond these walls." Oji knew several others who did this task would simply lockdown the room without warning or explanation. The Crimson Sect was the strongest sect for a thousand miles after all, and might had always made right. Oji thought it only fair to ensure all his intended students were gathered.

Akemi was staring at the dreamy young lecturer's face as he laid out his expectations in an iron voice. He was so strong, so capable, and so handsome. Unlike a certain someone who had cost the Clan everything since his very birth. She hadn't really thought about this lecture when she kicked HIM out, but in hindsight it was a brilliant move on her own part.

The Cifer deserved to lag forever for cursing the Clan to fall from the upper echelons of Zhou to this forsaken countryside dot on a map. He deserved to suffer setbacks for the rest of his life. Hatred boiled in her heart as she compared the ugly Cifer who had brought ruin with him to the handsome teacher striving to better a Clan not even his own. Her decision was made.

Momo was racing without a care who saw her speed. Hopefully they would assume it was a speed Technique instead of her simply sprinting. She wished she knew a speed Technique! She absolutely had to hurry!

The man, someone called Nabaha, who had been in charge of this lecture for her class two years ago had locked down the lecture hall first. He had been at High Origination, meaning that not even any Elder of the Aoi Kani Clan would be able to break in. It would take one of the Deyons or the troublesome Grand Elders to force it open.

Momo wouldn't be able to convince them to take that kind of high handed action with the background of the lecturers! While she only knew vague details, as the Clan Leader's daughter, Momo did know that there was a power above the Royals who were the real masters of Zhou. The lecturers came from exactly that group!

Which meant the only option was to get there before the doors were locked with the Essence of the lecturer!

Cifer was a fast runner for someone who wasn't a Cultivator yet. Even so he only kept Momo in sight for the first three turns they had to make in going to the lecture hall. She had to be going full out, which told him things were serious. At a run it would normally take him 8 minutes from Momo's Cave to the lecture hall.

He planned to make it this time in 5.

Oji smiled with relief when the red head teacher assured him that these 24 students were indeed his entire class. He shut the doors and locked down the lecture hall.

Then pulled out the smooth Record Stone and injected his Essence into it, causing the words of the script he was supposed to read to appear for his eyes alone. The lecture on the Manifestation of the Origination began.
