2 Chapter 2: A bullying episode

The year 2167, Central Alliance, Titanus City, Titanus Branch Academy.

In the wide hallway of second-year, where most of the students were leaving for their departure, a group of students wasn't moving one path towards the exit.

Slammed!

A sturdy-looking student pinned an average-looking nerd boy on a locker.

"Do you know what your fault here is, Benny?" The sturdy-looking boy asked. He had short blond hair like a bully with a muscular and tall build, standing 190 cm tall. He was also wearing a typical school uniform.

"Ack!" The boy named Benny, being pinned, groaned with a painful tone as it was hard to breathe from the tight grip of the bully. He had dark-silver short messy hair and blue eyes with a pair of glasses on them.

He opened one eye and adjusted his glasses despite being in pain, "Does... Does it matter, Kevin? You will beat the shit out of me anyway, right?"

He then raised his head a little and looked at the girl in the couple standing behind the bulky boy named Kevin. "Let me guess, I 'purposely' bumped into the youngest lady of the Thena family even though I have no idea how she appeared in front of my Class 2H?"

Benny again resumed his gaze towards Kevin and smiled with rosy cheeks, "What are you waiting for, Kevin? Come and touch me~."

Kevin freaked the hell out, engrossed by Benny's creepy tone.

"Kevin." From the couple standing behind Kevin, the girl called the bully. She had light pink hair and enchanting green eyes. She was a striking beauty in her league with her ample chest and smooth skin. However, at the moment, she wasn't in any mood to be praised for her beauty. Her glaring eyes contained contempt and disgust. "Beat him till I say to stop."

Kevin nodded and started punching Benny.

"Ack! Yeah, that hits the spot!"

"Aaa! Ohh yeah!"

As Kevin punched Benny, he became more engrossed since Benny enjoyed it instead of begging to spare, no matter how hard Kevin tried to hit Benny.

On the other hand, no one came to a stop this gruesome display. Everyone either ignored the group or became spectators.

"Wendy, your mood isn't good. After your anger calms down, let me treat you to a meal." The guy next to the blonde-haired girl said. He had dark hair and eyes and was quite good-looking.

"Thanks, Asamio. I love you." The girl named Wendy smiled at the boy named Asamio. Hearing her open confession, the rest of the student body went "Ooo," ignoring two damsels in demise; one was beating while frustrated while the other was being beaten while enjoying.

"However, I want this insect to be beaten as much as he can endure today, or I won't get any peaceful sleep. Why do I have to live in the same world as this filth?" Wendy sneered.

"Yeah, kill him!"

"Fucking waste of oxygen!"

"Why the hell is he even here?! He doesn't have any Origin!

"And is neither a blessed one."

The rest of the students watching them started mocking Benny.

"Then I guess I can wait for a little." Asamio smiled and watched Kevin beating Benny. He didn't need to worry about the student council or school staff since his girlfriend was from a prominent family and was very influential in the school.

Then something fell out of Benny's bag, hanging on his shoulders.

It was not something that should have attracted the attention of everyone except Benny, yet it did.

It was a small glass jar containing some sand and a dark creature. It was a finger-sized beetle.

"Aa gross, kill this filthy creature!" Wendy stiffened, disgusted by the appearance of the insect.

Kevin nodded and jumped to crush the vile creature, but Benny immediately covered the beetle with his body taking the hit on his gut.

Even though Benny had been beaten senseless and shouldn't be able to move, he still protected the tiny creature with his body.

"Oi, move!" Kevin yelled as he kicked Benny to move him and kill the insect, but Benny didn't even flinch.

Benny received a moderate beating from Kevin, yet Benny still had the strength to stand for such a puny insect. He didn't know which of them was the insect here, the beetle or Benny. Just what the hell was this guy made of?!

"Why are you taking so long?! Use your Origin and kill both of them!" Wendy growled, ordering Kevin to from a certain distance. She was already disgusted by Benny's presence, and now another insect appeared. She hated these crawling insects more than anything in the world, and she wanted both of them to leave.

"But Miss Wendy, if I..." Kevin stopped his actions, reluctant to use his supernatural power called Origin. Beating a non-ability user is one thing but using an ability to kill someone is other. Using the magical ability called Origin could get Kevin kicked out of the school, let alone kill an insect that is a human.

"Do as I say! I will cover up everything, or your head will be under my foot next time!"

Keven flinched but nodded. He then looked at Benny, who was still on the floor making a dome around the beetle, and raised his hand. A crimson aura surrounded Kevin's right hand, which increased the temperature around him.

'Hot Hands' was the name of his ability where he could send heat to anything his hand touched, even melting steel.

"Kid, it was your fault for being weak and being here. For being my punching bag for months, I will thank you." Kevin said and increased the heat on his hand. It was about to touch Benny when a voice attracted everyone's attention.

"Let's see if you have the balls to control the whole school."

Turning their attention, they saw a girl standing near the group. She had silky silver hair, uneven bangs on the front, and a ponytail on the back. She also had sharp golden eyes and was also wearing a baggy uniform.

She was the perfect personification of a punk girl with a cigarette in her mouth and her hands in her pocket.

Her target of glare was none other than Wendy.

"Isn't she Zoey?"

"What is she doing here?"

"Oh, we should leave. If a fight broke out, we would be in significant danger."

"Let's leave."

"Yeah."

Many of them knew that if any of these two girls got into a fight, they would be dragged into the chaos for no reason.

Wendy and Zoey were two of the five strongest students in this school. Though an all-out fight rarely breaks out on the campus as it could demolish the building, nobody knows when would these crazy girls lose their screws and start a war.

"Zoey, don't come in my way. Today, I will kill this insect. How dare he brings those disgusting creature into this school where I walk!" Wendy said, enraged at Benny, who just tapped his broken glasses with his middle finger while being a dome on the floor.

Seeing the weakest student in the academy like this, Zoey sighed internally. However, she again turned her attention towards Wendy and smirked, "You are bitchear than usual, Wendy Thena. Even though you are your family's garbage yet, you are here showing your might like your father owns this school. Ah, sorry, you don't have a father."

"Zoey, you fucking bitch!" Wendy growled as she walked toward Zoey and glared at her, "Say that again, and I will kill you."

"What? You didn't hear me the first time? Did your dog give his dick to your ears that you lost your senses?"

"You little...!!!!" Wendy was in full rage. A strong aura surrounded Wendy, and her eyes turned golden, deeper in color than Zoey's natural eyes.

However, before Wendy could take another step, Asamio came forward and stopped Wendy.

"Wendy, get a hold of yourself! If you were to fight here, then your family... The authority will intervene."

"Are you saying to let this bitch go?!"

"You can get your chance in Hero Tournament, but not now. Let's go."

Wendy somehow calmed down and agreed to leave.

"You can run your mouth all you want, but I will rip you naked in front of everyone in the Hero Tournament before dragging you everywhere like a wench you are," Wendy said before leaving with Asamio.

"Yeah, yeah. Just try not to get pregnant by your fuck buddy!" Zoey snickered as she saw the couple leaving from the exit. She then sighed as her eyes turned lazy. "Bitch. I am so yoked."

Zoey spat in annoyance and then looked at Benny still being dome around a beetle. "You living?"

"Hui." Benny tapped his glasses and nodded. He slowly got up from the ground while carrying the beetle and tapped his clothes to rub the dirt off, not showing any pain after being bullied by an almost 2-meter tall guy. He could have also died if not for the silver-haired girl. He then looked at the silver-haired girl and smiled, "About time you show up, Miss Childhood friend."

The girl smirked and lightly kicked Benny. "Shut the hell up, you freaking masochist, and get going."
