Chapter 8- Not Even One Skill Is Presentable

Ah Luo asked the seventh madam as she couldn't believe what she said.

"Isn't it because of the song itself is good? Not my guqin skills?"

She started playing The Three Viscosity of Plum Blossoms thinking that the seventh madam can make a comparison by doing so.

However, she did not expect the seventh madam to say proudly.

"Your Ah Niang had been playing since the age of four, in Feng city, nobody can play like this. You don't believe Ah Niang? As for this Plum Blossoms, the tune you played carried a hint of haughtiness. My daughter is somehow proudful.

Ah Luo sighed as she thought that she could get praise from the Feng city best guqin player. It must be true that her skill is good. She said sheepishly to the seventh madam.

"Ah Niang, don't let others know about this alright? Ah Luo will only play for Ah Niang, alright?"

There was a smile flashed in the eyes of the seventh madam.

" Are you afraid of stealing the limelight of your older sister? No more peace from then on?"

Ah Luo deliberately grimaced as she complained.

" Guqin is like a companion for a banquet. If I play better than her, how do I do when I was requested to play every time when the guests come?

The seventh madam squeezed her little face gently and brought her into her embrace.

"San Er, you are really intelligent! Ah Niang can't win over you no matter how."

Ah Luo was getting to like her beautiful mother more and more. She was kind-hearted, gentle and most importantly, she treated Ah Luo wholeheartedly.

In the future, she will take care of her little mother nicely if she had a way!

Ah Luo got up in the morning and wore the special training pants that she had Xiao Yu made for her. She started warming up by jogging all the way to the bamboo forest. Xiao Yu was assigned to guard at the entrance of the forest. She trained and practised over and over again on her karate skills. Every night, she will practice yoga for half an hour before she slept.

At first, Xiao Yu was bewildered by what Ah Luo was doing. Ah Luo stared and Xiao Yu and said,

"If you want to show gratitude to my Ah Niang, you should not say a thing out. It is alright if you don't understand anything. But you have to remember, this is all for our better future."

Xiao Yu nodded and promised her. She saw that Ah Luo was starting to get more rosy complexion and getting flexible day by day, so she agreed to Ah Luo's method in training her body. Hence, she did not say much anymore.

In the blink of an eye, the three months once trial was coming again. Ah Luo watched her elder sister and her second sister performed their talents. She lowered her head and sang a short tune. Although the tune was good, she was out of tune at some parts. Old Li father preemptively thought that it was the seventh madam who taught Ah Luo the poet last time, to convey her yearning so that she could see him. So he did not ask Ah Luo to make a poet anymore. He was still really happy as Ah Luo had progressed and even could sing. He thus encouraged her as usual.

The other madams were all thinking in the same way. Their hatred had increased as they thought that the seventh madam had used her own daughter to seduce the lord openly was too shameless.

It was fortunate that prime minister Li was always guarded by the big madam and the other concubines kept on distracting him. Therefore, the amount of time he had visited Tang courtyard was only once or twice. Tang courtyard was always cold and lonely. In the future, Ah Luo will play chess a little, embroider flower a little or play guqin half heartedly every time she had the trial. Nothing was proficient. Prime minister Li saw that she was learning everything but was out of place. Not a skill was able to be presented.

Nobody can understand what is the problem. No matter how much blaming she got, she will complete the test with new skills and said pitifully,

"Ah Luo had taken note on Fu Qin's remark. In these three months, Ah Luo had been diligently learning XX... Fu Qin, please give some advice."

Of course, it was neither bad or good. Prime minister Li had her focus on only one skill, but she did not live it up like Qing Lei or Qing Fei. He could only shake his head disappointedly. The gazes from all the madams softened up significantly.

The seventh madam asked Qing Luo,

"San Er, when will you stop this play?"

The seventh madam was thinking happily,

"I will have to rely on this mischivous daughter for the rest of my life."

Ah Luo was thinking that she had resided in this world for six whole years. She had lost the hope of returning to the modern world anymore. The only thing she was thinking was how to live and survive in this world. She needed a lot of money. After thinking for a long time, she decided to open up a restaurant. After earning enough money, she wanted to bring her beautiful mother, nanny Zhang and Xiao Yu to travel to the other four countries to experience the world. Maybe she might meet somebody and got married. If not, she could just become a boss and live happily ever after.

She would become crazy about the money she would earn.

Just like that, Ah Luo had become twelve years old. Li Qinglei was sixteen years old and Li Qing Fei was fourteen years old.

The news of the household of prime minister Li who had two talented daughters was spread in the whole Feng Du. There were many who had come to ask for marriage alliance for Li Qinglei and Li Qingfei until they almost have broken down the mansion of the prime minister Li. The third miss Qingluo was unknown to people. Prime minister Li rejected them by saying that his daughters are still young, and he is reluctant to part with them yet.
