Matatizo was called for a job interview just one week after his wedding and he could not decline the offer for job interview. With all his academic papers he headed to the specialist hospital in the southern hemisphere of Africa. Before he went for the interview, he had to plan on the management of his hotel business . He employed a business manager before going out of the country. He organized his papers in order with his curriculum vitae at the top. He was very sure that he was going to secure that job opportunity since he had information that the management of that hospital was under a British. He carried all the certificates including those sourced online through surveys.
With the little knowledge he had and the rumours surrounding the interview marking scheme, he had to dress properly, make good time management and do some some rehearsals to improve his courage during the interview. He just knew that interview is only tested on basic concepts which only needed creative thinking to handle it and succeed. On the arrival, he was shocked to find out that all the individuals working in the hospital were all Africans. This was something he didn't like at the first look since he had a clear picture that Africans are always corrupt and papers do not matter in Africa. Finding more information, he realized that those people going to interview him were Kenyans. This was the time he knew it was not going to be easy for him. This was only a matter of money and connection nothing else. His papers now seemed to be useless despite his academic excellence and competence.
This could not stop him from facing the interview because he also had a strong believe that everyone has his/her unique luck. He was not sure of securing the opportunity but he just went on assumptions. Money was not a problem to him but he was a straight forward person who could not bribe to get employed. A group of individuals were out waiting for the interview to begin . Among them, there were only four men with all the other twenty individuals being women. From the look of things, Matatizo knew that ratio could matter alot and there, only one man was going to be employed with three ladies and even it could be ladies alone since they were the majority. Matatizo looked at the interviewing panelist just to find out that they were only men. Something that can finish a man is a woman hence Matatizo moved to conclusion that only ladies will be selected to take the job position. The ladies had attractive faces with admirable shapes which could just confuse the interviewing panelist and instead of giving them question they could just give them direct employment.
Worries aside, Matatizo was called first to enter the interviewing room. He cleared his throat and with confidence he moved inside the interview room. He was keen with the procedure to pass the interview. The door was open but he knocked before entering, the seats were empty but he couldn't sit just waiting to be given a permission and first he greeted them. This was only a procedure to show some ethics and how organized he was. He was not told to sit down so he just submitted his academic papers while on his feets. The interviewing panelist skimmed through his papers and he was told to go out. Before he could move out, he was followed by one of the individuals working in that hospital and he was asked to give out $1000. He was given assurance to get the job if only he was going to pay that amount of money.
Matatizo thought of this issue for a minute before he asked the number of the same individual. Matatizo left the hospital with his head facing down just thinking of what goes around in organizations in the name of employment. "If a poor individuals is asked to give out money to get employed then that is a direct way of denying the person a chance to work. We only go out to get employment because we need money and if bosses ask for money what can a son of a peasant cook do to secure a job opportunity. This is also an indication that there is no need for education because money has replaced it. That is why in the field of employment you find that most of individuals working completely know nothing and yet many learned fellows are out tarmacking without employment." This was what Matatizo was thinking as he moved slowly out of the hospital gate.
Matatizo decided not to send the money to get that employment opportunity. He just relaxed waiting for the call from the hospital for feedback. Each and everytime he was going through his mails to keep in touch with the updates from the specialist hospital. He was called to meet a certain individual in a specific confidential place. He knew the topic of the was to be about money for him to be employed. As an individual who grew up from a poor background he did not let the poor suffer because of corruption so he went with a strong stand that he was not going to bribe for work. He strongly believed in equality and fairness and whenever he could loose he was ready to accept and move on. He went in the meeting hall where he found three individuals properly dressed in black suits with shinny black shoes. He greeted them with confidence and sank in a chair. The conversation began and he was asked to give a total of $900 to get an employment with the salary ranging between $200- $350. He pretended to be poor and told them that he had nothing in his account. He told them to employ him first before he makes the payment in installments.
The officials did not accept the offer from Matatizo and finally told him to go. Before he went, officials called other fellows in the same venue to ask for money. He went and the next day realized that he had lost the job opportunity. He could not laugh or cry at the same time, he used his knowledge to trick the newly employed individuals. He was ready to loose alot of money to eradicate corruption. He went and hired an individual and gave him a challenging task to take to the same hospital for investigation and gave a time frame of two days. The newly employed individuals had no knowledge on the same. The hired individual told the management that he could find an individual to help in accomplishing the task in the same hospital. The management gave agreed and immediately Matatizo was called. They were shocked to see him because once he was at the interview.
Matatizo finished the task in the shortest time possible leaving all the employees confused. He was paid for the Job and left as fast as possible. This forced the hospital director to quickly find Matatizo and employed him immediately. The individuals who used the backdoor to get to the employment opportunities were send away by the management and lost the money they had spent on corruption. Matatizo accepted the job with his own personal rules . He dictated the salary he was going to get. The management agreed to pay him highly than other employees. He was only going to work when called upon to do so. He was only reporting at the hospital for investigations and immediately he completes the assignment, he was directly leaving the hospital to go for other personal investments. Time was his key factor for success. He took time as linear and worked on assumptions that when time goes it never comes back. This helped him to achieve much at his young age.
Having alot do kept him busy on daily basis. He was traveling place to place to monitor his investiments and just came to a conclusion that he was spending alot of money through transport fees. At this point he decided to make arrangements to buy his own vehicle for private use. Money was not a problem to him because he was earning alot of money from his personal investments plus the salary from employment. His wife Olivia had also a heavy bank account.
His working place was also a dangerous place because he was not in good terms with the individuals who were corrupt during the interview. This was one of the reasons as to why he was not ready to work the whole day in the hospital. He sensed that he might be fixed by the haters that is why he even didn't take any meal at the hospital. Using vehicles from the same place was also a threat to him since his close enemies might make up a set up with the drivers to kill him. These were clear reasons as to why he thought of buying a personal car. Him having little knowledge in driving was not a limitation. He decided to do some research on the best cars on the trending market.
