4 Realizing the Change

Jessica was at the entrance of the mall when she saw a beautiful looking car pull up.

The worth of it alone was enough to let a normal family live comfortably for a wvhile.

However she was from an extremely well off house herself, thus she just looked on curiously.

When she saw a beautiful girl getting out the car, her eyes widened.

'How could she even see over the staring wheel?' She walked closer and the girl turned and she saw a peerless face.

'How could anyone be that beautiful?'

Vampires, no, noble vampires had an innate charm and beauty that made humans fall for them.

Yet this also made tracking them easier, as who didn't know of extremely beautiful people.

Eliane let herself be led around, though feeling a bit of disdain for the human leading her, she wasn't so cold as to leave right after she got 'help'.

Bystanders pointed at the m while gossiping amongst themselves.

"Do you see the small one with black hair?"

"A goddess descended to the human world?"

Many other exclamations and replies were thrown out as they walked through the mall.

'A goddess? If you knew what I was, you'd have all run away.' Eliane snorted softly, her eyes flicking around, landing on various things.

'A phone would be nice.' She looked around and found a store selling phones not to far away.

After getting Jessica's approval, they walked to the store, Eliane occasionally replying to Jessica while otherwise keeping silent.

The day after Eliane woke up, Cassandra drilled her on how to act female, and while she said female, it was to basically act cute.

While Eliane didn't have any of that men's pride they talked about in novels, it sure was embarrassing.

Entering the store, she saw a variety of different smart phones, but just bought one randomly while handing over the card she found in the car.

She originally planned to return home, but Jessica dragged her towards a sweets shop.

Eliane had no Interest at the start, but seeing Jessica ramble about how good they are made her curious.

She tried it, and then joined Jessica's rambling boat, as they tried the different kinds while buying the kinds they favored.

Eliane was dead set on returning home as she hadn't been without the company of her new family since she was Turned.

While the two walking out, Jessica collided with someone walking into the store.

As Jessica nearly fell, Eliane reached out a steadied her while stepping back half a step.

While Jessica nearly fell, the other person remained upright, if anything they were just a bit unsteady.

Eliane studied the two people besides the person her eyes narrowed.

'Not that bad looking...' Though vampires didn't display as much emotions as humans, they certainly felt lust and admired beauty the same any other person might.

"Sorry, do you need some help?" A woman, in her twenties in black, with two men beside her, who couldn't be counted as handsome, but they also weren't average.

Eliane decided to put them in the so-so category. While thinking of doing it with a man, while having been a man for majority of her life, Eliane shivered a bit.

"We're fine, thank you." Jessica displayed her Young Miss mannerisms and thanked them while stepping out of the way.

The lady and her bodyguards, Eliane decided, walked in.

As they were passing, one of them stopped and stared at Eliane.

Peering into his eyes, Eliane decided that this guy was pretty dangerous, by a human's definition of course, Eliane could kill ten of him in a few seconds.

She stepped out of the way as so he started to walk again, but a smell came off him which made her cringe backward covering her nose.

She stepped back, while rubbing her nose, seeming unconcerned with the three as she walked out with Jessica running behind.

Behind them, the man's eyes flashed with a cold light as he walked behind them after telling the woman he had something to do.

---

Eliane drove back to the house after bidding good night to Jessica and the promise to meet again some time.

As she turned a corner, car lights shone behind her as someone suddenly accelerated.

She drove for five minutes more before turning onto an abandoned stretch of road, slipping out of the car and vanishing into the buildings on the side.

Two minutes later a car drove up slowly and came to a stop, it's headlights shining on the Hyspersport.

A man got out cautiously and looked around, a gun in his hand.

Eliane knew it was a submachine gun, she just didn't know they type as she mostly trained in blades, other than target practice with Daniel, she never used guns.

She froze, as he looked around while approaching the car slowly.

"After I kill this bloodsucker, I'll sell this car." The man said softly as if it were already his.

When she parked the car, she left it three meters from the building.

She crouched, and pounced over, her hands in the shape of claws.

'I should've brought a weapon, even a small knife would have been helpful.'

She basically appeared above him, her hand about to shatter his head from the frightful force contained in her delicate looking hand.

Right before her hand shattered his head, an arrow flew out from the direction of the other parked car.

Seeing the arrow she didn't have much of a choice, either continue and kill him, or pull up short and avoid the arrow.

She kicked against the man's back, sending him into the door of the Lykan as she dodged the arrow by a hair.

"Behind you!" A voice came from the car and she saw someone stick his hand back inside which held a crossbow.

The door opened and he ran out with a stake in on hand, a pistol in the other.

He raised the gun about to fire when Eliane grabbed his buddy, throwing him like a stick at him.

He flew like a cannon ball, crashing into his partner amidst the sounds of sickening cracks.

She looked at them with a chilling face, kicking the gun away from the man and throwing his partner, again, into their own car's side this time.

He fell to the floor, unconscious while she pinned the other man under her foot like a bug.

She patted him down while observing him closely.

The man she kept throwing was the man she backed away from because he had a certain smell, he was here, yet the other man and lady wasn't, it seemed he slipped away.

'And with how well armed they are and the stakes and crossbows, without a doubt they're hunters.'

She trampled on his arms, and received a horrible shriek as she crouched near his head.

His face was contorted in agony, yet he glared hatefully at her.

'Whatever did I do to you?' She slapped him, annoyed with the look.

"Fix your face, if you don't answer my questions, then you will die very painfully, be obedient and you might even get to live."

The man spat at her, but she had long since moved out the way.

She walked over and picked up the gun, raising and firing in the same moment.

Blood shot out of the man's leg as he groaned in pain.

"I don't tell you anything vampire, you may as well kill me."

She nodded and smiled brightly.

"I'd hoped you'd say that." She skipped over, turning his head while her fangs poked out of her mouth.

The sound of skin being punctured, and a soft slurping sound filled the air.

---

Back at home, Eliane lay on a chair with her feet propped up with a lazy look on her face.

"I ran into some hunters, they died in the fight."

She simply said it and went back to watching a show, chewing on the sweets she bought.

"It happens, if anything we can move, the last thing we need is hunters coming en masse to this city."

Hearing Cassandra she also thought for a moment then nodded.

Even though she was far stronger than a human, she'd be hard pressed to fight them all.

Alexander packed a few I important things away, stuffing them into the car before appearing before Eliane with a necklace in hand.

"The witches sent it after they learned I got a new child." He put it on her neck and smiled kindly.

"You hid from the sun for nearly a week and a half, you can go out and play during the day now."

Eliane's eyes widened as she sat upright and ran to the door.

She opened it and went outside, but remained in the shade a few inches from the sun's rays.

She put her hand out slowly.

Expecting the worst, warmth covered her hand as she stood there.

She once out her hand in the sun once before and a horrible burning sensation reminded her of it every time she saw the sunlight.

Her hand was slightly red and yet the pain was that horrible, she'd pity anyone, friend or foe who had to die in such a way.

She stepped into the sun enjoying the warmth it brought.

Behind her, the four vampires smiled as they looked at their content looking family member.
