5 New Friends

Eliane sighed, looking at the girl in front if her. After training with Alexander for a year and a few days after running out without his permission, she could finally be said to be adept with wielding all sorts of weapons.

Zere smiled at Eliane, showing the tips of her fangs while twirling a staff nearly twice her size in her hand.

"How about marrying me? I'll shower you with lots of love."

"Not interested, how about leaving sooner rather than later?"

Zere swept the staff at Elaine's legs, while gazing into her eyes.

Eliane jumped a few feet into the air, swinging the staff towards her throat.

Zere smiled and leapt back nimbly like a cat, landing with the staff sweeping up.

The two staffs clashed, causing Zere to roll back, while Eliane went flying.

She flipped in the air and landed, her staff poised to attack again.

Before she could attack, a staff whipped across her forearms, causing her to hiss softly in pain.

The staff nearly slipped from her grasp as a foot, slammed into her stomach like a hammer.

She flew out again, but before she could land, a small and delicate looking hand caught her body, keeping her from collapsing.

"I don't like fighting you, sometimes you win, and sometimes I do... how about we just-"

The sound of fangs sinking into flesh sounded as Eliane sank her fangs into Zere's neck.

Zere tilted her head to the side and smiled while her face took on a hint of red.

Eliane ran her tongue over the punctured flesh while pushing her fangs deeper.

She was euphoric, while a small part of her registered the taste of the blood.

Half a year ago, Alexander spread the fact that he had a daughter through the vampire circles.

The Royal Family visited, and greeted the new addition to the Reeves Family.

Cassandra taught Eliane the customs that nobles greeted the royal with while boring Eliane to death.

Surprisingly, the customs weren't as strict as a human's kingdom, and the vampire King was elected by the nobles every hundred years.

The current King had been ruling for thirteen hundred years, a testament that he was a good king.

Vampires valued themselves over others, it was their nature, so the fact that they could vote for him thirteen times showed that he didn't interfere to much except ensuring they kept themselves out of the human eyes.

Zere's face was practically crimson, while she drew ragged breaths.

She rembled then collapsed on the floor, causing Eliane to fall on top of her.

The jolt shook Eliane back to reality, causing her to pull the fangs out of her neck.

She pushed herself up, taking in Zere's scent as she lay below her trembling slightly.

Vampires had heightened senses when compared to humans, pain tolerance was heightened as well as other things.

Something that was pleasurable to a human would give a vampire at least five times their counterpart.

The door opened and Alexander walked in with an eyebrow raised.

"Am I interrupting or -?" He smirked and dodged a staff that sailed through the air at him.

"No get out, wait Zere get out too!" In the year she lived as a vampire, she got used to embarrassing things, but being caught by her dad with an unresponsive vampire with a red face below her, she could barely keep her composure.

Zere just smiled slightly and wrapped her arms around Eliane, squeezing herself into her.

"Okay, okay you can stay.." Eliane rolled her eyes and climbed to her feet pulling Zere up as well.

She walked through the door after Alexander with a slightly restless Zere clinging to her arms.

Zere didn't look much older than Eliane, and just as beautiful, with curly blond hair and blue eyes.

They climbed a set of stairs and walked through a house which would probably leave a human lost and came to a living room.

Her family sat on chairs, with a few new faces as well lounging around or talking.

Daniel sat across from a Russian beauty while Elizabeth sat at the side, with a wine glass in her hand slowly swirled the contents slowly.

Normally, it could've been wine, but knowing what Elizabeth was, as well as how thick the contents were gave it away.

Elizabeth heard Eliane enter the room and raised a glass while glancing in her direction.

Eliane made her way over and sat with Zere by her side. She grabbed a glass and sipped it slightly, exhaling softly as the blood ran down her throat.

"How's your dear wife doing?" Elizabeth laughed softly and gave Zere a glass.

Zere beamed when she heard how Elizabeth addressed her, when family members don't object, it'll be easier to marry that person.

Eliane who spent nearly half a year with Zere could tell what she was thinking.

To others, she maybe a crafty vampire princess, but to Eliane she was just a silly girl, albeit a silly girl old enough to be her grandmother.

Cassandra looked over with a small smile when she heard Elizabeth.

Though it's common courtesy not to listen in on other people's conversations, if you didn't want others to here, you'd go someplace farther away out of range.

Alexander coughed softly and all the vampires quieted down and looked towards him.

"I thank you all for coming here today, and hope to see you again many years from now. I also hope you don't feed here as that'll alert the hunters."

He sat and went back to conversing with the others.

Daniel shot up and ran out the door with the beauty he was with earlier hot on his heels.

She was Daniel's fiance, and about twenty years older than him.

He didn't hate her, but he also didn't want to get married just yet.

Zere leaned on Eliane, wearing a playful smile on her face while running her finger along Eliane's legs.

Eliane's hand shot out, catching her hand while flashing her fangs in warning.

Zere showed her fangs in return while bringing her face closer.

As their lips met, a door opened loudly causing them to look up.

A witch walked in with her body shaking, before she stopped looking at the assorted vampires.

"Soon, the humans will end the world, and you too will suffer." Blood gushed from every opening of her body as she toppled to the floor.

The vampires watched silently before calling their respective informants to tell them to look into it.

The witch had peered into the world's secret, which rendered her life forfeit.

Witches may be powerful, but vampires had the capital they lacked, so though they disliked the vampires a bit, they had no choice if they wanted to stop the humans.

After the message was delivered, all the vampires had serious expressions on their faces as they left, bidding the others farewell.
