43 Chapter forty-three

Roselyn took a step forward Andreas looking emotionless, she seemed to have lost touch with reality. like if she was driven by some mysterious energy who pushed her to act like that.

Andreas didn't look scared, even seeing her in that condition he remained calm and was thinking of what was the best thing to do.

Meanwhile, on the contrary, Mark was puzzled and scared, he didn't recognize the girl he had in front of him.

"What is happening?" he kept murmuring getting a glance from her.

Emily managed to stand up and was looking at Roselyn in anger and pain.

"I will have you killed." she said in a murmur but Andreas turned to gaze at her and aloud said, "don't even dare to move. You've done enough."

Then he turned around to gaze at Roselyn once again, he was stretching his hand like if he was walking in the dark and couldn't see. He reached her but Pagos roared to him. His roar made him slide but he kept walking.

The dragon seeing him keep walking opened his huge mouth revealing its affiliated long teeth and lowered his head to face him ready to attack whenever Roselyn needed.

When he was enough close to her he murmured "Roselyn focus on my voice now. I am sorry. I really am." He said smoothly making Roselyn frown and narrow her eyes. His words barely touched her.

The sky started to become red while the sun disappeared and welcomed the arrival of red clouds that lead the sky to assume the same red color. Pagos roared once again this time it was directed to the sky and provoked a strong earthquake. Rosalyn smiled at the sight of the people who were staring at her, running for cover, scared. Even Emily escaped but Roselyn let her go.

Mark was watching the scene completely shocked as if he couldn't understand what was happening. "Go inside, let me take care of it," Andrea said gazing at him, he went back to the house where other people gathered together to seek protection just like him.

Once they were left alone Andreas whispered some words to the dragon in a language that Roselyn was unable to understand, having him slightly back off.

"What did you say?" questioned Roselyn as her eyes lit up and the sky-colored of an even darker red, now looking like from there could be released pure flames of fire.

"I told him to let me calm you down..." he murmured with a sad look on his face.

Roselyn giggled, "I'm calm, just done with your silly games. You are going to regret having played with my feelings." Roselyn's voice became acute and was echoing provoking a flash of lightning that hit the ground almost hitting him.

"You're not hitting me because your good part is not allowing you to take full control." He raised his voice to overcome the noises of the thunderstorms.

Roselyn was floating and her eyes for a second turned off their natural brown color but just to return red once again, her hair was slowly becoming made of flames as well.

"My talk is reserved to that part of Roselyn, to that one part that I fell in love with deeply and quickly since the first day I saw you. Looking harmless in your pajamas not even believing in magic and look at how strong you are now."

Roselyn's eyes turned brown, "you don't love me." her voice was lower but then her evil side took control again and stretched her arm to throw a fireball that pushed him toward the ground.

He moaned in pain but took a breath to recover enough to continue his speech.

"I had to take a step back, Margaret wanted me to. I am your professor, and the magic council already looks at you sideways. I didn't want you to cause additional trouble to you."

He gasped as his eyes filled with tears, his voice was broken and he sounded vulnerable, "But I do, I love you so much that I am so scared of all the emotions I feel when I am with you. I thought that making you hate me would make you forget me and eventually make the whole process of moving on easier for both of us."

Roselyn walked toward Andreas, but Pagos roared at her having her pause her rush walk to look at her creature puzzled.

"What else did you tell my dragon?" she asked.

"I told him to kill me before you did. Because my heart couldn't bear the pain of being killed by the one and only girl that It ever was capable of loving."

He whispered as he shouted his eyes at the sight of the dragon opening his wigs and get ready to attack.

The dragon leaned his face against him and opened it, he then leaned back, the cold air he emanated caused Andreas' lips to become livid. By just a blow it would freeze Andreas' body in a second making his heart stop forever. Not even his immortal nature would spare him from such a drastic ending.

If he would be able to go back in time maybe he would have changed his behavior but at least he would die having confessed his feelings first.

Roselyn's eyes started to alternate brown and red color and she yelled out as if she was left in pain since her two opposite sides, good and evil, fought against each other.

She was emanating a strong heat around her so strong that Pagos had to back off. She kept fighting and her body started to shake. The sky was taking his normal color back and the sun rose to have Pagos whine at the light it radiated. He flew away and Roselyn, who was now floating very highly precipitated abruptly unconsciously.
