"Aiden! Quickly in here!" shouted Princess, holding up a piece of canvas that was in her hand. It looked like the painting he came from. Princess rolled out the canvas and he took shaky steps towards it. A mountain of doubt weighed on him. With one last step he plunged into the darkness of the canvas, just as his eyes closed.

Aiden felt as though he were in a void, trapped behind the canvas, watching the world pass him by. His vision flickered in and out of focus, and he could feel his consciousness slipping away from him. He seemed to be falling into a void. His eyesight changing from one moment to the next. Finally he could see...

The first image that came into focus was Elara, standing in the Forest of Echoes with a look of sadness and defeat on her face. Aiden's heart clenched as he watched her.
