142 The Dark cultivators!

"Everyone, the price of each burger is a hundred transcendence stones!" Emily then looked back at Nick asking for approval and Nick smiled brightly at her. And deep in her heart, she knew, that she had made him very proud and happy.

"One hundred transcendence stones?! This is daylight robbery!" A man standing amidst the crowd commented.

"Then don't eat it! Do you know how hard the chef, Mr. Albert is working to serve you this heavenly meal right now?!" Emily snapped at the customer.

Nick was in the middle of just standing by the side waiting for the laxative infested meat to finish cooking when he heard Emily telling the customers how hard he was working, so, he began staring at the grill with focus, to show the customers just how hard he really was working.

"The first serving is done, who will be the first customer?!" Nick asked.

"Me! I want it!" A large-sized lady roared out. Waving a satchel filled with her energy stones around.

"Emily, take the money, count it, and put it by my side!" Nick commanded as he wrapped the burger in aluminum foil thickly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, make sure you are in a secluded area when you eat it. Also, make sure to carry around a large wad of paper with you…for your mouth, of course." Nick took the microphone and told the people how to consume the food. But in reality, what he was actually doing was covering his ass. Nick didn't want these people to eat and excrete the food here at the same time, that would just be unhygienic, and troublesome.

The crowd didn't think much of Nick's demands either, in fact, it would have been weird if such a precious elixir could be consumed just anywhere. One has to know that most pills and herbs were most effective when consumed somewhere with peace and quiet.

"Me too! I want one!" The crowd filled with transcendence realm experts went wild. A hundred transcendence stone was a lot even to these experts, but the value of the Burger far outweighed the price to them. And they didn't doubt Nick's credibility due to his already miraculous inventions put on display.

The Emperor had taken the laxative and it took him a lot of time to get over it, and he was someone in the Immortal Realm! And those here were just transcendence realm experts, so by the time they were feeling better Nick would not be in this city anymore!

"Mr. Albert, your creation smells so appetizing, can I have a bite?" Emily asked. She was busy sorting the energy stones the customers gave her and placing them near the grill for Nick when the smell overwhelmed her. Because even without the Cooking skill to help it, a burger was still captivating.

"No, not yet anyway. Eating fast food like the burger will make you lethargic and weary, so it is best to consume it after you have finished all the work." Nick didn't want to poison Emily, so he tried dodging her request. Because even though the girl had caused him a lot of trouble it didn't come from a place of hate, the girl was just too simple-minded…stupid, that's the right word, she was just too stupid!

"Mr. Albert, you aren't trying to wiggle your way out of your promise, are you?!" Emily asked a little cross at Nick. Nick had promised her one burger on the house for all her work and it seemed like he was trying to get out of it to her.

"Hey, who are you talking to? It's me, Albert, I never go back on my word! I was telling you the truth, fast food makes you weary, so you should always eat it after you finish work, and you still have a lot left to do today, young lady." Nick patter Emily on the shoulder in an assuring manner.

"Okay!" Emily pumped her fist in the air in excitement and went back to work with renewed vigor.

Nick didn't know how to feel about this. If he gave her a burger later, he would be poisoning her and putting her through hell, but if he didn't give her one, she would never trust people again and her cheery personality might cease to exist! Sigh, the decisions an Inventor has to make are never easy, I guess.

And so, the business was booming for hours, and people kept one streaming in with their money, and out with their burgers.

"How much money have we made Emily?!" Nick asked in excitement. He had already bought another grill from the system and was cooking ten patties at a time, and to his count, he had already sold five hundred burgers so far!

"Fifty thousand Transcendence stones!" Emily was unable to believe it either. Since when was making money so easy?! And why did she suddenly feel conned to be paid off with a single burger.

"Brother Albert, quick, I found one of those people from the picture!" A young man suddenly pushed the crowd aside to get through and began calling Nick in a panic.

"But…business is going so well!" Nick felt like crying but had no tears. But what could he do, he couldn't just let those weakling roam around in this dangerous secret realm all by themselves now could he?

"Everyone, business is closed for the day! Thank you!" Nick announced using the microphone and also hurriedly stored all the things in the surrounding into his storage ring quickly. Even the half-cooked burger patties were stored in his storage ring.

"Booooo! What kind of store closes shop so early!"

"Yeah, work diligently young man, otherwise no woman will marry a lazy bum like you!"

"That's right! Work hard young man, making money is a good thing. Ugly people like you need to make lots of money if you want women to give you a second glance!"

Nick quickly took the grill back out and hurriedly stuffed the few uncooked patties into cold untoasted buns, and stuffed it into the hands of the people who made the last two comments as he said, "Congratulations, your kind, and heartfelt advice has earned you these last two burgers, please pay up." Nick wouldn't let these punks get away with their comments, and he wasn't going to offer them the pain for free either.

"Here you go Emily, enjoy!" Nick then gave Emily one of the five burgers without laxatives that he had made earlier as he rushed off and disappeared with the young man.

"Which one of them did you see?!" Nick asked anxiously, as he followed the young man through the crowded streets.

"I saw the little boy and girl from the picture." The young man explained.

"Dean and Maggi?!" Nick got excited. He was most worried about the two kids, the others could wait.

"In there!" The young man yelled while pointing at a crowded bar in front of them.

Nick took a deep breath to calm himself and tried to restrain his excitement as he walked in. He didn't want to get his hopes up in case this bastard turned out to be pulling his leg like those men who brought hair earlier. And after a few short seconds of inhaling and exhaling, Nick realized that the air here was kind of nice, it smelled fresh and invigorating…damn it he got sidetracked again! Nick opened his eyes and walked into the bar.

"Where are they, I don't see them!" Nick looked to the young man anxiously.

"Over there, those two wearing dark cloaks." The young man pointed to the other end of the bar and whispered to Nick.

Nick looked in the direction the man was pointing in.

"Those two?!" Nick asked in amazement. Nick couldn't see the faces of the two people wearing the cloaks, but he could see how empty the area around those two was, and even the bartender would shiver every time he looked at them.

"Hey, Jeff, why is that area so empty?" Another man asked his buddy beside him the question on Nick's mind.

"Shhhh! Are you crazy, keep it down will you, Ricky! Those two wearing the cloaks are maniacs!" Jeff replied, fear obvious in his tone.

"Really?! What makes you say that?" Ricky asked.

"Well for starters, those two have the body of children!" Jeff explained with a look of fear.

"What?! How is it possible for kids to be in the Secret realm and in a bar no less…unless?!" Ricky looked at Jeff in shock.

"Exactly! They must be dark cultivators who eat baby fetus to stay eternally young!" Jeff was sweating a lot by this point and kept on checking to see if the two had heard him.

"Oh, my god! Those monsters!" Ricky trembled.

"That's not all! Guess what one of them did earlier!" Jeff wasn't done scaring Ricky yet.

"What?"

"One of them actually took some wrapped, dried shit from her back pockets, and began sucking on it happily!" Jeff shuddered as he thought about that disgusting scene.

"What?! Are you for real?!" Ricky couldn't believe it.

"Why would I lie to you?! Everyone in this bar has seen it! Besides…wait look, at her teeth!" Jeff was in the middle of his explanation but he stopped when he saw one of the cloaked people looking at him.

But the glance didn't last long and the person turned back around much to Jeff's relief.

"Did you see that? Her teeth were brown, exactly the same color as the shit she ate!" Jeff pointed out.

And the now scarred stiff Ricky just nodded dumbly.

Nick couldn't believe his eyes and ears. He couldn't believe his eyes because in that short moment the cloaked person turned around, he was excited to find out it was Maggi! And he couldn't believe his ears because the conversation those two men by the door were having was just too ridiculous! The stories people would come up with sometimes had their own advantages after all. At least it kept the twins safe from being harassed or harmed while he wasn't here.
