169 Nick's wrath! Part, 1

"If Master Nick helps me in reducing its powers to the limit of the lower world, then I'm a hundred percent confident!" Claire patted her chest in pride. But only she knew how frightened she truly was. She didn't know if Nick was capable of keeping his promise and weakening the lightning to that extent.

Of course, Claire didn't also know that the lightning would actually be coming straight from the lower world itself, not this weird space they were in, so Nick didn't even need to weaken it! The world outside would do it for him!

Nick just needed to pretend like he was responsible for it and take the credit later on. Since Nick knew how rich and powerful Claire's father was, he figured that she must have a lot of treasures, so Nick planned on using this moment as an excuse to get a few decent items from her later on…

Outside.

After the third lightning serpent destroyed most of the cellar, it then began to look around for something, and upon not finding what it was looking for it roared in rage and exploded!

Now targeted from the inside, the mountain became even more of a mess! As only tiny portions of the infrastructure remained intact!

Bang!

After the cellar's walls, roof, and floor got destroyed. The floors inside the mountain halls began to collapse as well, causing a certain figure to fall straight through the floor and into the cellar.

It was Shadow Five!

After being bound up he had given up on his life, and his injuries looked severe as parts of him were missing at the moment and he looked to be on his last breath.

Since the walls and roof had gotten destroyed, Nick could now see everything going on outside. And he could also see the injured Shadow Five on the ground panting. But Nick didn't plan on helping him out.

No, his sights were instead trained on a certain figure in the distance. After the walls and roof were destroyed, the cellar was now open to the outside world. And Nick could see Master Crow floating hundreds of meters away outside the mountain, apparently restricted by the large barrier surrounding his place, keeping him from leaving.

Oiiink….oiiiink….

Suddenly, Nick heard something that nearly wrenched his heart out in pain! And when he anxiously looked over, he found the usually chirpy and happy Piggy, looking in his direction, as if she could see directly at him. And Nick saw blood gush down her multiple wounds with scorched or missing flesh. And she was hobbling on the spot as she tried her best to maintain her balance on her three legs, which seemed very difficult. All while fighting hard to gasp for air as one of the needles in her waist had been smacked by a piece of falling rock and had punctured her lungs.

Nick didn't why, maybe it was because Piggy was born in the system's palace and was weirdly connected to him. But he could usually understand what Piggy was saying. And this time was no exception! In fact, Piggy was the only one, till this date, that had been able to enter and leave the palace without needing to sign the system's contract! Which meant she had special meaning to the palace and was connected to it somehow.

At this moment, that little piggy that had six large lighting serpents glaring down at her was oinking away, and weirdly Nick could understand every word she was saying as if she was speaking directly to his soul. 'Brother…you left me…you really left me…but don't come out! This place is dangerous! Just stay in there! Stay there! I will wait for you, here, okay? Don't worry, Piggy is tough, Piggy will be fine, Piggy isn't scared of those mean snakes in the sky.'

Nick saw with his own two eyes as Piggy attempted to smile in a humane and comforting manner, trying to assure him that she was fine.

Piggy's intelligence hadn't developed fully yet, and her level of intelligence could only compare to a six-year-olds at the moment. So, watching this little thing as it tried to warn him and protect him broke Nick's heart, forcing him to rush out of the palace space without thinking further. Nick then ran towards piggy using the snappy feet technique and lifted her up delicately.

Nick then saw all the wounds on her body and his eyes weren't able to remain dry. And as tears threatened to fall down his cheeks, Nick swallowed hard and gritted his teeth in an attempt to force them back. Nick then began to examine Piggy's wounds seriously. And aside from the ones the lightning and falling rocks had obviously caused, there were still two long needles stuck in her body that were obviously inserted there cruelly on purpose! Nick's eyes then turned bloodshot as he shot a glare at the culprit, Master Crow!

Master Crow could obviously see Nick had somehow returned, leading him to wonder if all Nick had done was use a deception technique to hide from him, but he didn't go forward to catch him, that would be too dangerous! So, he sent a large patch of dark mist after him instead. He didnt need to move anyway; the dark mist was an extension of himself and it could do the job for him. And although he was a little taken aback to find Nick had already regrown all his limbs, he wasn't too surprised since he had already seen Nick regrow his jaw last time.

Ahhh!

But little did Master Crow expect that his dark mist that he always been proud of, which was large and terrifying as it stormed after Nick, would touch a tiny spark of the Dark red lightning causing it to ignite into a blazing dark red flame! It was as if the mist was the fuel and the lightning was the flame because in mere seconds, the entire patch of dark mist, disappeared!

And it seemed that that tiny spark wasn't satisfied yet though, because after erasing the Dark mist, the spark of lightning seemed to have sensed the connection the mist had with Master Crow as it burned that mental connection as well, causing near irreparable harm to Master Crow's soul!

Nick hadn't seen all this because all his attention was focused on Piggy. After examining Piggy a little, Nick then cradled her with care and used one of the large falling rocks as cover to enter the palace.

Claire and the others were shocked when Nick suddenly appeared beside them. But before they could say anything they were startled into silence by the dark and scary aura that Nick was giving off.

Nick didn't say anything either as he slowly went over to the pool and gently dipped her inside, and soon, Piggy was covered up with that cocoon as well and began receiving treatment in the healing pool. Now aside from the large blaring cocoon Elder Frost was in, another cocoon floated in the pool, but it was much smaller in size.

Then, before the crowd could even ask questions, Nick suddenly vanished. Nick had left the palace again!

Nick appeared among the falling rubble outside. And right in front of him, a little further ahead, a desperate-looking man was inching closer and closer while using his chin to pull himself forward. And seeing Nick, the man tried to show excitement and speak only for blood to flood out his mouth and choke him a little. This person was Shadow Two, who had been trailing behind piggy the whole time! And even though a lot of rocks have struck his back injuring him, he still pushed on, inspired by that little Pig in front of him, who seemed to possess a passion to live akin to the burning sun!

Calmly walking up to him, Nick then dragged the injured Shadow Two into one of the hidden areas blocked by large rocks and sent him into the palace as well. But unlike Piggy Nick didn't go along with him or send him into the pool personally. Claire and the others ought to do it now, and if they didn't, and they let the man die by ignoring him, that would just be Shadow Two's fate.

Nick then calmly walked inside the secret layer, walking straight into the main hall of the secret layer, bypassing a lot of fallen boulders and dangerous lightning sparks that were floating in the air on the way. And once he arrived he ignored all the mess around him and arrived behind Master Crow's throne, which was now just a big pile of rubble. And behind this seat were four bloody limbs!

These were the limbs Master Crow had chopped off from Nick's body. And after searching through them, which felt incredibly weird, Nick finally found what he was looking for. His storage ring! All his things and the large number of Transcendence stones he had accumulated last time from that burger stall were all in here, so losing it wasn't an option. Thankfully Master Crow looked down on Nick too much to consider looking through his storage ring for anything worth value, otherwise, the losses Nick would stomach would be terrible.

And yet, even after recovering all his possessions, Nick didn't seem happy at all. Nor did he try to step back inside the palace. Instead, he began walking back out of the main hall. Once out, Nick did another act of charity by throwing the heavily injured and unconscious Shadow Five into the palace before walking in the direction of the mountain exit.

The fourth Red lightning serpent in the sky hadn't launched an attack this whole time! And the reason was, their target's coordinates kept changing when they couldn't even find see them!

As the tribulation sent by the heavens these lightnings were intelligent, and they were skilled in finding their prey no matter where they hid. But this time was different, because this time, whenever they found the door leading to the palace space where Claire was hiding, the door would soon shift and move around! And this was because the doors to the palace were usually anchored to Nick if he was outside. So, the coordinates to the palace kept following Nick everywhere!
