29 Wandering Guess

Hou Wei Yan was now sprawled on the big sofa of the entertainment room. The charity event had ended without her and the gifts she had prepared were sent by her servants. She was also requested by her husband to give herself some leisure time and keep away from any hospital staff after what happened to her yesterday.

Right now, she can't think of anything to do other than watch movies. Shopping used to be her option but with all the clothes and accessories in her wardrobe, she found no reason to do it any longer. Her friends were also busy and some of them don't even know she was back yet.

She can possibly just go to them and surprise them. But considering their jobs, she would only cause a hassle and create an uproar. The media is terrifying nowadays so remaining hidden is her best shot at maintaining her peaceful living.

So now, here she was stuck in the room with popcorns and pizzas as companions. She was nibbling on a pizza while watching the infamous Bird Box. It had come to her attention thanks to Xie Na's constant text asking her to watch it and never miss a chance.

Coincidentally, when she was asking Gu Man for movies available in the mansion, he had shown her a whole shelf of new movies both Hollywood and local.

"Madame" a voice said from outside the room said which made her pause the movie.

"Come in" she said after fixing herself.

Gu Man came inside, his smile was big as he pushed in a wooden food service trolley. There was a huge platter on it covered with an aluminum lid. She curiously took a glance at it and never left her sight on it till it stopped in front of her.

"What is it, Uncle Gu?" she asked while gulping down. She can smell its aroma from where she was sitting and can roughly guess what it was.

Gu Man smiled at the sight of their Madame's fascinated and excited face. Yesterday, she had not eaten well because of her continuous surgeries and wasn't able to finish her meal because of Cheng Wenquian. Even when she came home last night, she wasn't able to eat well and slept early because she had long lost her appetite.

That's why today, they were ordered to serve in her favorites.

As he opened the lid, he saw how Hou Wei Yan's eyes grew big in amazement. The aroma of the dish spread in the room making her gulp down even more. Its sight could already blind her. "This is---"

"Master knew this is your craving food" he said with his eyes closed.

Hou Wei Yan nodded her head and was amazed by her husband's care. How did he know King Crab legs are her craving food?

"If you want more, there's a button on the table. Press it and we will serve you another set" he added before leaving. Once the door was closed, she cannot stop herself but in awe.

She had always loved it but had never gone to this extent. Whenever she craves food, she goes out of her house and searched far and wide to get it. As she lives alone, she obviously has to pay for it herself and she was really thrifty.

The oozing smell of the legs made her lick her lips as she grabbed one. She pressed the remote and continued on with watching the show, her pizza forgotten as she broke the crab leg and devour it.

"Thank you, husband" she said in the wind as she popped the meat into her mouth.

Happiness surged in Ji Li Zhao's heart as he heard this. Yes, he was watching her like always. He didn't want to miss out on any of her activities. He felt glad of her acknowledgment.

"You're always welcome...Wife" he said as he touched the screen of his tablet, a smile never leaving his face.

[ What a happy day it is today! ]

While signing the papers, Ji Li Zhao kept the tablet on as it played out Hou Wei Yan's eating show. He liked watching her enjoy herself and even wished that she continues doing so. However, he knew his wife wouldn't do that, because of her job. She's someone who likes to work and be active. Moments such as this where she enjoys herself hardly come by. So he will take this opportunity to pamper her.

Feeling ecstatic, he dialed Gu Man.

"Uncle Gu, Wei Wei loves Giant Shrimps. Send in some later" he instructed and immediately hung his phone up with a smile.

At this moment, Huang Xun arrived with a few papers in his hand and a set of bad and good news. "President"

Ji Li Zhao looked at him and turned serious when he saw a man in his military uniform.

"Major General Yue, what brings you here?" he asked, his tone polite and respectful in every fiber of it.

The man smiled at him and walked straight to his desk. It was Yue Jianjun, the current head of Yue Household ranked 11th in the Regal Families, and the father of his other closest friend. "Come on son, why must you repeatedly call me that?"

Ji Li Zhao offered the man a seat and ordered Huang Xun to bring them coffee. "What brings you here, Uncle?"

When Ji Li Zhao asked this, the man immediately placed down his hat and smiled at him. But though he's smiling, he can see through that he was serious right now. "You know why I'm here. It's about my daughter, Xiaoli"

At this point on, Ji Li Zhao no longer saw him as an officer but rather a father pushing through something impossible. He had been long known as the Bachelor Ji Li Zhao and many elders had approached him or his father, offering them a beneficial marriage. If he was someone else, he would have been forced to do as they want.

But alas. He was Ji Li Zhao.

He doesn't need any of their approval to do what he wants, especially when it involves the matter of his love life. His heart belongs to only one, and that someone is already wearing his ring on her fingers and enjoying herself in the sea of King Crab Legs.

Right at this moment, Hou Wei Yan had finished up another leg when something crazy popped into her mind. [ Who is my husband? ]

She only knows he's wealthy and that his identity is something that cannot be revealed to her. Her marriage with him cannot be revealed as well.

"Gay?" she suddenly blurted out all of a sudden. Even she was surprised by what came out of her mouth.

Her mind was wandering everywhere, guessing, and just taking in anything that came to mind. But this, this is by far something to be surprised about. He can't be possibly gay.

[ No way ]

[ It's not possible right? ]

"Is he gay?" she asked without knowing anything about the monitoring system in the room. She was just enjoying her food and having a private talk with herself.

On the other side, Makio and the other nosy Kings of the organization had spat out their food.

[ Bloody hell! Our boss is gay?! ]

Everyone was coughing and wiping their mouth while furiously shaking their head. It had been speculated by others that their boss is gay but they had never expected it would also come out of their lady boss' mouth.

Soon, laughter had erupted on the table and everyone took a turn to look at the hysterically laughing Zai Weizhe, a member of the 7 summits.

"I wonder what boss has to say" he said while imagining Ji Li Zhao's reaction to his wife's speculation.

And yes, his imagination had come true. Ji Li Zhao who was casually drinking his coffee in front of Major General Yue spat his drink as well when he heard what she said through his earpiece. Luckily, he had looked at the side and avoided a problem from arising.

However, this left Major General Yue to look at him suspiciously. The coolness of Ji Li Zhao was gone for that split second that he wondered what was wrong.

[ What made him lose his cool?! ]

[ Wife, you're making me want to prove my innocence right now ] he thought as he casually wiped away the coffee in his mouth.

"Are you having a relationship with someone?" his visitor asked all of a sudden.

Ji Li Zhao placed down his coffee and looked at him directly. Since he had boldly asked, then he cannot deny him of the truth. This way he will understand that his daughter stands no chance with him.

"I'm a married man" he admitted which made the man who was talking big about his daughter earlier speechless.
