95 Ridiculous Rumors

The events that transpired last night repeatedly played out in Fang Tao's mind as he fell asleep and when he woke up. As he sat in the car with their Madame, he can't help but remember the fight that she won and he instinctively glanced at her still bandaged hands. He worriedly looked at her when he noticed that it was still swollen. "Madame"

"What's wrong, Fang?" Hou Wei Yan asked as he closed the tablet in her hands. She was reviewing the Medical History of her new patient and was finding the best treatment for her.

"I think you should rest. I'll ask a leave for you"

"Stop worrying. I'm really okay" she replied with a smile. Before she fought all those men she was already prepared for the aftermath of it and this includes the wounds in her hands. "I even have enough energy to do lifts"

Hearing her energetic chirp made Fang sigh. The household was in an uproar when she went home with wounds in her hands. Gu Man didn't stop worrying about her even though he was already informed beforehand that Hou Wei Yan had a fight with some men. The others nearly fainted when they heard the news because they know just how Ji Li Zhao treasures her. "Please don't joke around. You nearly caused us a heart attack yesterday"

"My, what an honor" Hou Wei Yan suddenly remarked with a chortle. "My actions are enough to frighten the strongest guard there is"

"Madame, I'm not the strongest guard" Fang immediately remarked, his eyes as serious as ever. He was always proud to be dubbed as Ji Li Zhao's Right Hand Man and he knew very well that he deserves to be proud. But when he began guarding Hou Wei Yan, her undeniable connection with trouble made him realize that he lacks in many things. He wasn't entirely fit to be her guard because of his many shortcomings but he wanted to remain as her guard in hopes to learn more things. He was a fitting soldier, but he still lacks as a guard. "I lack in many departments"

"Don't be ridiculous" she answered seriously when she saw how he suddenly turned serious with her words. "Fang is the strongest guard I know and he's also my good friend that everyone admires so much"

Her words immediately made Fang Tao look at her in surprise. She was displaying a smile but she was serious and he could feel it. Somehow, he felt relieved that she thinks of him like that and he suddenly felt motivated by it. He is lacking, but if he stays by her side he knows he can make up for it someday.

Together, they walked inside Yi Lan but the buzz inside the hospital was far worse and fiercer than last. Even if naive patients walk in, they could immediately figure out that something is wrong. Hou Wei Yan looked around and felt chills when she saw everyone prying on her as though she was a criminal. "What's going on?"

Everyone who used to greet her with respect ran away as though terrified of her presence. Her arrival created a messy atmosphere and she could feel it in her bones that something terrible happened. Amidst such a chaotic atmosphere is a woman who shouldn't be finding trouble because of her physical state.

"That's - - -"

"Xie Na!" Hou Wei Yan yelled out as she ran towards her best friend who was in the middle of a crowd. As soon as her voice was heard, everyone began whispering and they looked at her as though she was the filthiest human being there is. Although bothered by their stare, she did her best to dismiss it and focused her attention on Xie Na who was finding trouble again despite her pregnancy. "What are you doing?!"

"Wei Wei" Xie Na called out worriedly before she glared back at the people looking at her as though she was shit and all.

Hou Wei Yan looked at the people as well. They would usually turn around and walk away but today they only glared at her hard. She frowned at their reaction before she pulled Xie Na behind her as their stares intensified. She slowly lowered her head and reminded Xie Na that she was in no state to be confronting these people. "Remember the situation you're in right now. You know you're not supposed to get angry or upset"

"Sorry"

Hearing her sincere apology, Hou Wei Yan immediately turned back to the crowd and hardened her gaze at them. "So, what happened here?"

When they refused to back away, she clicked her tongue forcing Fang Tao to glare at them as well. They're showing such great disrespect to their Madame in his presence. He will not allow such a thing to continue!

Hou Wei Yan's glare was terrifying but Fang Tao's glare is on another level. Like a Wolf, he glared hard at them without any hint of letting them go unscathed if they continue to stare at him. His icy cold glare sent a shiver down their spines causing them to finally back down and walk away with their tails on their feet. "Nothing"

"Let's get you inside" Hou Wei Yan muttered to Xie Na as soon as the crowd dispersed.

As soon as they entered her office, Qiu Meixiu greeted them with a worried look, and not a second later, someone loud came barging with sweats all over his face. He looked so frantic that even Hou Wei Yan got surprised by it. He rarely loses composure and always appears to have the upper hand so his sudden actions indeed warrant their surprise. "Little Sister! Little Sister!"

Her sudden surprise was replaced with irritation the moment he mumbled 'Little Sister' in front of her again. "You seem to have a lot of time, Yu Shou"

"Are you okay? What happened to you? Tell me who that man is and I will strangle him for you! How dare he lay a finger on you! Such an atrocious man! He even clung shamelessly to you! Tell me, did he force you? Why didn't you fight back? Why didn't you call for help? You could have called me! I'm your one and only Big Brother so - - - "

"What are you talking about?!" she asked as she cut off his rambling. She was so confused she can't help but look at Fang but the latter looked as confused as her.

Tracing her gaze, Han Yu Shou saw Fang and immediately pointed at him with accusation. "And you! Why weren't you there when she needed you!"

Fang raised his brows at him. He wasn't sure what he was talking about!

Without warning, Han Yu Shou pulled Hou Wei Yan in his arms which earned a series of grasps from everyone inside her office. Her eyes widened as soon as she felt her face hit his hard rock chest. Bloody hell!

"Oh, my poor Little Sister. Come on, you can cry. Big Brother will lend you his shoulders" he mumbled repeatedly without consideration of his surroundings. Hou Wei Yan wiggled in his grasp but Han Yu Shou continued his little drama causing everyone to stand there petrified. What the fuck is this situation?! "Just don't place snot on my shirt. I just got it yesterday"

"Get off!" Hou Wei Yan yelled out widely before she clenched her fist and punched his stomach. The impact made Han Yu Shou cough as he released him from his embrace. Hou Wei Yan immediately backed away and distanced herself from him as far as possible. "Han Yu Shou! Have you really lost your mind!? What nonsense are you blabbering!?"

Although he was still in pain from her punch, he did his best to stand up straight and appear strong but the twitching of his hands gave him away. Qiu Meixiu and Xie Na nearly laughed at his pitiful state.

Han Yu Shou didn't give up his pursuit and tried to chase after Hou Wei Yan. "Big Sister, it's okay. You can tell me everything"

"That should be my line!" Hou Wei Yan asked before she stepped back and did her best to avoid Han Yu Shou. Before he could grab her again, the door flew wide open causing him to freeze.

"Young Master!" Zhao Qiao angrily called out. When he saw Hou Wei Yan snarling at the corner and Han Yu Shou froze in his spot with an appearance of a villain, he immediately sighed while shaking his head. "You're far worse than a dog. At least they know when to shut up"

Han Yu Shou placed down his hands in an instant and did his best to appear as docile as possible but none of them bought his act. "Zhao Qiao"

"Forgive my, Young Master. He has a screw loose so please understand" Zhao Qiao suddenly remarked as he looked at Hou Wei Yan in apology. Han Yu Shou stood there petrified at what he said alongside the others.

"Zhao Qiao?!" he exclaimed with a confused look. Is he perhaps rebelling? Why is he saying such stuff in front of them?!

"I've been with him since he was young and knew how much of a fool he is. Even I get surprised sometimes because his stupidity knows no bounds. You must have been more surprised than I am" the little assistant added as he slowly approached Hou Wei Yan.

The more he talks the more confused Han Yu Shou gets. "Zhao Qiao??!"

"Ah, I pity those who get subjected to his foolishness. I pity myself even more. If this continues, I will lose my mind before I could correct his behavior" he remarked once more while shaking his head, appearing like a mistreated person and the unluckiest man alive. "I pray to the Heavens that Han Yu Shou's savior arrives before we all lose our mind"

The others looked at one another and soon after sympathized with his undeniable agony. Han Yu Shou's actions must have sent his assistant to hysteria! And they too will end up in such a state if Han Yu Shou doesn't mature soon!

With this in mind, they turned towards Han Yu Shou and looked at him accusingly. This action rendered him nearly speechless and the only thing he could do is sweat buckets as he looked at his assistant. "Zhao Qiao???!"

Hou Wei Yan looked at the two of them before she laughed out loud. They're like a crazy duo and they specialize in comedy! Their little drama heightened her spirit and she too can't help but join in their chaotic fight. "May the heavens hear that prayer"

"Did he not take any medicine today?" Fang Tao asked with a sigh causing Qiu Meixiu and Xie Na to look at one another. Now even Fang is joining in the bustle!

"Ah, I fed it to him earlier. But it looks like the effect is wearing off. I should ask the doctor to change his prescription" Zhao Qiao answered nonchalantly. After he said this, Qiu Meixiu and Xie Na who were holding back their laughter finally decided to chortle at their antics. "It's not working at all as you can see"

The laughter that resonated in the room caused Han Yu Shou to pout and look at them angrily. "Hey! Stop bullying me!"

"Anyway, can you explain what's going on, Zhao Qiao? Why did he barge in?" Hou Wei Yan asked once the laughter died down. Han Yu Shou's face immediately brightened up at what she asked. This is his time to shine!!!

"I can tell you the---"

"He's just nuts" Zhao Qiao blurted out before Han Yu Shou could finish his sentence. His words immediately sent the crazy young master into his tantrum mode.

"Zhao Qiao! I'm really going to cry if you continue this!"

The little assistant merely looked at him without an expression on his face. He has long been accustomed to this and he knows very well what could tick him off. "If Young Master cries over this then he's certainly not fine in the head. You will cease to be a man in my head as well"

"Zhao Qiao!"

Noticing that they were slowly entering a dangerous phase in their teasing, Fang Tao decided to cough and stop both of them. They still haven't explained anything and they badly need to know the reason for the dark atmosphere around Yi Lan. "Enough with you two"

Noticing that it was already time for a serious talk, Zhao Qiao fixed his glasses before he fished out his phone. After a few scrolls, he finally showed them a picture that was causing an uproar in the hospital.

The photo captured a blonde woman with a younger man. The angle of the photo deliberately made them appear as though they were kissing one another. Hou Wei Yan could only hum as she looked at Fang Tao.

This is clearly taken last night before her little rampage!

"This photo was sent to our Group Chat" Zhao Qiao muttered as he showed them the other contents. The photo had the bizarre caption 'The dignified Doctor and her gigolo' which made the photo blow out of proportion. "While checking for any new bizarre news regarding my Young Master, I stumbled upon this and didn't notice Young Master spying behind me like a little sly fox. He even resorts to spying on someone else things, isn't my Young Master scary?"

"Hey!"

"He immediately went out to find you without even checking the face of the man" he remarked before he showed them a close-up photo that Han Yu Shou didn't bother to check. The close-up photo clearly displayed Hou Wei Yan's face and the other is clearly her little brother, Hou Jun Shen!

"Hey, isn't that---"

Just like earlier, Zhao Qiao cut off his sentence and sighed. "It became a hot topic overnight and many conclusions are made over it"

"They sure have a lot of time in their hands" Qiu Meixiu muttered earning Xie Na's approval. After they learned of the news, they tried to explain it but none of them believed whatever they say. They continued concluding many things about the photo and they could no longer subdue it.

After hearing the reason for the glares they received earlier, Fang Tao immediately walked out and talked to the Headquarters using his earpiece. Reizo is the one stationed in Makio's nest right now so Fang felt the urge to smack him for not handling it before it blew out of proportion. "Albert, what the hell are you doing? There's a rumor circulating about the Madame!"

"I know! I'm already out destroying it" Konako Reizo replied as he continued tracking down the man who captured the photo and uploaded it in the group chat.

"Do your job properly" Fang muttered with a sigh. After a headache comes another! "I'll fry you in boiling oil the moment you mess up"

After he hung up, some nurses passed by him and began whispering. He could clearly hear the nonsense their sprouting making him click his tongue in annoyance. Bloody hell! Why would they assume he's Hou Wei Yan's secret lover?!

She clearly belongs to their Boss and he belongs to someone else. Thinking this, he glared at the people gossiping some ridiculous rumors about their Lady Boss. "Pests"

Because of the successful surgery her team did yesterday, she was called out to Master Han's office after checking the patient to report to him the full details of the surgery and receive the next assignment of her team. While she was passing by, people began to whisper again but she could hear all of it clearly.

Despite everything, she decided it was best to grasp the content of the gossip and began to listen intently to everything they say. "Hey, that's her right?! The one in the picture?"

"She's always the center of attention and has a lot of rumors circulating around her. Now that I see her personally, she's really someone amazing, isn't she? First, she took Lu Huan, she also has that guard around her, all the men adore her, and apparently, she already has a lover but she's still not satisfied and went out to meet someone in such dark secluded place"

"But I heard that she was forced to go there. Doesn't that make her a victim?"

Fang looked at Hou Wei Yan in concern before he glared at everyone who pries on them. "I already mobilized the IT team to remove all the images"

"Fang" Hou Wei Yan called out seriously. "Even if you delete it, the rumors are already spreading this wide. They will make a big deal out of this once they find out that the photos are deleted. They'll spread rumors and accuse us of covering up the truth"

"But if we don't do anything, they will continue to tarnish your name" he grumbled worriedly but his Madame only shook her head at what he said.

"Who says we won't do anything?" she asked with a smile. Punishing those who like to run their mouth without evidence is always her hobby. Besides, this concerns her baby brother so she needs to kill the rumor before it affects his endeavors in the future. "They want to find out the truth, then let's give them the truth"

Fang looked at her in surprise when she said this. By giving them the truth, she needs to show them her little brother. "Do you plan on revealing your siblings?"

"They are my precious relatives. Why would I not flaunt their cuteness?" she said with a chuckle. Her cute siblings could thwart their hearts away the moment they lay their eyes on them! "Since they're hungry for a good show then I'll give them the best one"

She immediately fished out her phone and dialed her baby brother with a smile. Who says they can just create rumors without paying the price?!
