The beep sounded in Zane's mind and his entire body was flooded with exhaustion. He returned the pistol to his chest as he watched the remaining guards run back, fear clouding their gazes. Zane wiped the blood off his face and sighed, he took a deep breath, his forehead covered in sweat. Zane closed his eyes and his chest rose and fell a blacksmith bellows.

Letting out a long breath, Zane finally opened his eyes. His gray eyes had now returned to their normal clarity.
