9 Unbelievable Part 2

When I saw Flinda's face I froze. She wasn't just some random old lady. Flinda, the hooded old lady, is my past grandma!

"Flinda… you're…" I say. "No… grandma Flozie…"

"Dear Zachary?" Flinda says. "You are Zachary, correct?"

I tear up knowing that someone else I knew was here too. It's like a miracle that I know some people here at all. Well not exactly but then it's like a good and bad thing. It would mean they died but got transferred to this world. I'm now noticing that the older world had this flipped side as our type of afterlife. Though by how I've been able to see, that's only for the immortals. I think with the knowledge from the past world will help have people aware. Then having given more knowledge as you have your time living here.

"I'm so happy that someone else I know from the past world is here." I say.

"Who else do you know?" Flinda asks.

"It's Greffosh, my old childhood friend." I respond.

"Ah, the big one who was from Russia." Flinda says. "He was always a good person."

"Yeah, also, why can't Lusil listen to us talk?" I ask.

"That is because the ones under adults cannot know other worldly materials." Flinda responds. "This is for the sake of the irresponsible ones giving it out to their friends."

"Oh, I get it now, but I think he's pretty responsible." I say. "He stands up for you and actually cares about things."

"That may be because of his parents' deaths." Flinda says. "Since his father was part of the King's court, he had died during the past war. Quite tragic, in fact, his mother passed away not long after."

"So Lusil, he's been getting though a rough childhood." I say. "Flinda, do you know if they have the same ages in this world?"

"Of course, dear, but you want to know how old Lusil is, correct?" Flinda says. "He is only 16 years of age."

"Then that means only like, 3 or 4 years more to be able to hear our stories?" I ask.

"Yes, the people count 20 years of age as being an adult." Flinda says.

"Ah, well Flinda, it was great being able to talk, but I need to get going now." I say. "Is it okay if I just stay with 'Flinda'?"

"Of course, dear, in this world we are friends, though I know we are still family inside." Flinda says. "See you another time, Al."

Flinda waves as I walk out, Lusil sees me and runs in to see Flinda. 'Don't worry kid, I don't mean any harm to you two. I'll make sure I never have the mindset to.'. I walk to the gates and finally start heading home. Going through the forest I run and find my little cave entrance. It looked much different than before, there were actual stairs that lead to the inside. I walk down and to my surprise, I saw that Klotic was sitting down next to Jalia.

"Welcome back, Al." Klotic says. "How was your trip through the city?"

"It was actually kind of great, I got to see someone from my old world." I say. "How's Jalia been doing, have you been feeding her?"

"I have been able to find the correct food for Jalia," Klotic says. "She has eaten much in the last hour. Jalia has been resting now."

"That's good to hear." I say. "Klotic, I've got a question for you."

"Yes, Al?" Klotic says.

"Why are you like a black foggy figure of a person?" I ask.

"My body is nonexistent at the moment." Klotic responds.

"What do you mean by 'nonexistent'?" I say.

"The body I once had before, is now in the abyss of 'The Confirmation Gate'." Klotic says. "As an assistant of an immortal being, I will not have a vessel."

"Do the ones who make you an assistant not give you one?" I ask.

"Indeed." Klotic says.

"That's harsh, and since how you talk is like an online assistant," I say. "I'm guessing that you're old self was like, taken?"

"You are correct." Klotic says.

I stop to think for a bit of how bizarre that was. Jalia was starting to wake up and squealed a bit. I was unalarmed and looked over at her. Jalia started to jump over to me and put her front paw on my foot.

"Hey there Jalia." I say. "Did I surprise you?"

I crouch to pick up Jalia, she seemed to be really happy after seeing me. Jalia gladly lets me pick her up from the floor.

"I'm sorry I was gone for a little while; I met an old friend and I wanted to hang out with him." I say. "Then I got invited to the pub and all, it was a bumpy ride."

Jalia squeals at me for her reaction, giggle and pet Jalia. Though for a moment I stop to think, and to wonder.

"I am just now realizing that I can't understand you, Jalia." I say. "Klotic, could you help me here?"

"The reason you cannot understand Jalia is because she is a mystical creature." Klotic responds.

"Wait, what?" I say. "How is that even possible?"

"Jalia, is a mystical creature known as the 'Vloscol Holla'." Klotic says. "Would you like to know more about this creature?"

"Yes please." I say.

"The mystical creature 'Vloscol Holla' is a shapeshifting bunny." Klotic says. "The 'Vloscol Holla' is also hunted for its blood. Would you like me to elaborate on that?"

"Can I just guess that it might be because it'd be used for potions?" I ask.

"You can, although, it is used for poison as well." Klotic responds. "The blood of a 'Vloscol Holla' is more dangerous than most others."

"What do you mean by most others, wouldn't a dragon's blood be dangerous?" I ask.

"This world is a flipped side of the other world." Klotic says. "The ones you know who are weakest are the strongest here."

"So basically, I may need to find a way to keep her hidden from others." I say.

"Correct." Klotic says. "Adventurers can think of taking her and start killing."

I look at Jalia, she's curling up in my arms. 'I'm glad you trust me. I'll make sure no one does harm to you.'. I gently hug Jalia and softly pet her.
