16 Rebirth

The two look at each other and back at me. I smile since I feel comfort and they start speaking softly towards me. I couldn't quite understand them, but I heard a sweet voice say mama and a bold voice say papa. I attempted at repeating what I heard and reached out to know who's there.

"Mama… Papa." I quietly said.

My hands were gently held, and I felt like I was going to pass out. I held on tight before falling asleep. This was weird though, I forgot if I had to do something at the time. Though, I would hear some calming singing from time to time, but I would always wake up and cry sometimes because I'd see something when I opened my eyes when it was dark.

I started to feel like I was gaining more control over my movements, and this lady helped me learn how to walk while the other first two were gone. I grew to finally understand what people were saying even though I couldn't speak properly. Then when I was able to advance a little more, I figured out that I had parents and that my name was Adam. I was Adam of the Silvia family, I was hella rich….

"Adam, do not forget your guide books!" The family maid says.

"Okay!" I run down the stairs. "Thank you miss!"

I run off to the doors and open them up. Lines of tutors were outside waiting for me to choose what I wanted to specialize in. There was violin, mechanics, architecture, and more that I do not want to count off of. Although, one did spike my interest… combat. I ran over to the tutor and held my hand out.

"Nice to meet you!" I smile. "What is your name?"

"Drayus of the 50 Soltica Knights, my lord." Drayus says.

"Glad to have a knight to tutor me!" I stare in awe. "I am so excited!"

Drayus slightly smiles. 'I sense doubt from him now… doubtful people at these times are difficult.' I think to myself. I walk to my carriage, entering and hoping for the best, 'First day at the academy, finally became 17, I will make you proud mother!' The carriage takes off and I talk with my father who is already inside.

"Son, I know your mother's passing dwelt a great deal on our family, but stay strong, as I am hurting and fighting it." Father sighs. "I have much love to you, and she does as well. I trust you can live on even if I pass as well."

"Father, I will be alright, it has been three months since mother had passed." I smile. "You will be alright as well, father. I know that it did leave a mark on our hearts, but that is where she will live, forever."

The carriage stops in front of the academy, and I slightly jump. My father holds his arms out, I walk to hug him. He held me tight for a few seconds and then let go.

"I know you will make me proud son, even if you somehow do not, I will still love you." Father says.

"I love you as well father, goodbye now, I will make you the proudest." I smile.

I knock on the door and the doorman opens it for me. I walk out and look at the enormous academy, many other teenagers walking all over the place are seen. I run and wave to one who I easily recognize. I then hear my doorman calling out to me with my luggage.

"Oh my, apologies, Henry!" I laugh. "I will take those along with me."

"No, my lord, I must carry this for you." Henry says. "Though your kindness is much needed, I insist on taking your luggage alone to the direct area for the Silvia family."

"I understand, but you must tell my father to let all rest in my absence." I say. "I trust you will give the message?"

"Yes, my lord." Henry says.

I give a smile and pat him on the back as he leaves with my things. I sigh and turn around; in shock I jump as I see who I was waving to before.

"Why, if it isn't Prince Lucas." I bow. "How are you your highness?"

"Hello again, Lord Adam." Lucas says.

We both burst in laugher and hug each other. Lucas is my best friend, and one of my most trusted people. We had known each other since we were in the same tutoring class for violin. We both hated it equally and built up our relationship on it. I had not seen him in two weeks due to preparations of his extra tutoring.

"How have you been my friend?" Lucas says. "Have you gotten a lady yet?"

"No!" I laugh. "None on my end, but you, my prince, you may need to find a lady for the throne!"

"Ah, there is time to look, many beautiful ladies are already around us." Lucas says.

I look around and see many ladies who are walking up towards the academy. Most of them are in groups or pairs, but there was this one lady who was walking alone. I nudge my shoulder on Luca's arm and point over to her. Lucas and I look at each other to nod, looking back at the lone mistress.

"We must go to our dorm rooms before acting on decisions inside the academy grounds." Lucas says.

"Understandable, let us go see where the rooms are." I say.

I walk with Lucas to the academy doors and go inside. I look around and see a large office area. I stay near Lucas to walk to one of the attendants.

"I wonder, are there are assigned dorms?" Lucas says.

"Your highness," The attendant bows. "Your dorm awaits you; you may allow five other personnel to use the dorm as well."

"This is much appreciated, attendant; I thank you for this information." Lucas says.

"Lucas, if you were to choose, who will go with you?" I laugh. "I may be doorman for your dorm, I may not be allowed to stay with you in your dom."

"Adam, you are most definitely going to be my first to join my dorm." Lucas says. "You, Adam Silvia matter to me."

"I am honored, Lucas." I smile. "Though, who are the other four that you may want to call?"

"I may call upon the other two princes, though they may also have dorms as well." Lucas sighs. "What shall I do, Adam?"

"Ask of the lone mistress." I say.

"Adam, have you lost your mind?" Lucas asks.

"Yes, Lucas, yes I have." I say bluntly.

"There are no ladies allowed to share dorm rooms along side the lords." Lucas says.

I shrug my shoulders as Lucas sighs and walks off towards his dorm room. I follow along as we pass a painting in the hallways. I pause for a moment to look at it, it seemed vaguely familiar, Lucas had seen me stand there and stood with me.

"What does the Immortal Moon Elf mean to you?" Lucas says.

"Oh, I apologize, Lucas." I say. "Let us go to the dorm."

"Very well." Lucas sighs.

We finally get to our dorm room doors, staring in slight awe. The door was this sandstone base with a golden design on the outside.

"How long do you think it could have taken to make?" I ask.

"Enter the dorm room." Lucas laughs.

The inside was lavish and had much more space than usual dorms. 'So, this is the Luxury that the royals seem to be more familiar with.' I think to myself. 'Lucas must be tired of it though.' Then a speaker starts going off with a voice talking.

"The academy presentation for humans and will begin shortly." The speaker says. "Following this will be the elves."

"You hear that, Adam?" Lucas says. "We need to hurry."

"You're right, let's go!" I run.

Lucas and I begin to run down the halls and stop at the main corridor where the academy presentation is being held. Lucas opens the door and I follow him inside. The speaker is heard beginning their short speech of rules.

"We made it just in time." Lucas whispers.

We both quietly snicker and enjoy sitting in the front row. Their rules weren't very "strict", has some ups and downs, but it was fine. First, do not leave anyone to wander alone in the academy grounds, "No man nor woman left behind." Second, keep all personal items with you or your dorm room. Third, disregarding any student out and in activities is forbidden. Fourth, make sure that whatever you do, do not disrupt the professors' lectures.
