Prologue

Planet Blue Pearl

outskirt of capital city

A shuttle was dropping vertically at full speed piercing through clouds.

-Diiing- -Diiing- an alarm rang with red lights flashing in the deathly quiet cabin.

[Entry into lower atmosphere, ground contact in 67 seconds. Deceleration procedure.]

A disembodied feminine voice announced.

"Understood." replied Quentin sited in the controller position with a deep calm voice. without turning himself, he continued commandingly "You all heard, 1 minute to prepare yourselves. We won't have time when we land, the operation begins now !"

Standing, he quickly adjusted his cape onto his broad shoulders and turned to face his assembled team who were sited with serious expressions. He knew perfectly well what was going on in their heads and why this team composed of 20 of his most elites soldiers had all grave faces as if they were about to rejoin their maker.

Even with him moving personally with them, they had every reason to be scared. The opponent they were about to face was one of the most powerful individual in the system and that's why the plan which has been simulated for a month now needed to be applied to the letter.

Finishing his thoughts, he said "I know it's pointless of me to say this but i hope each and every one of your timers are set in the correct mode"

At the back, Baldwin adjusting his visors smacked his head with his hand and quickly reached to his left hand and rapidly materialized his AI timer and made series of configurations.

His colleague to his left exclaimed "really Bald, one day you'll forget yourself! don't f*ck everything up and be serious for once ! did you drink before coming?"

Baldwin just let out a grunt "What do you know boy ? i can't function properly without a glass or two"

A couple of laughter echoed in the room and the atmosphere suddenly became lighter.

watching all this, their captain remained standing with a bemused expression then started humming to himself when suddenly a small vibration was sensed with the shuttle door opening, cool air from the outside assaulted them and made the captain's cape dance behind him and for the second time, the disembodied feminine voice spoke again.

[Successful landing on beta-19, blue pearl. Onana mansion. Temperature 23°, 93% humidity]

Quentin just ushered one word to the assembled men "Go!!". they all jumped out from the shuttle and like ghosts, rapidly moved up to the Onana mansion.

...

[ security breach, area 11.... security breach, area 8.... security breach...] a monotonous voice announced.

jumping off from his chair and staring at the monitors in front of him, Gary knew at once that this night won't be a peaceful one. He directly gave a series of instructions to his AI

"Viola, wake up everyone, raise the security of the inner compartments to level 3, explain the situation to..." without finishing formulating his instructions an explosion was heard which shook the entire mansion

[ warning ... warning... shield destroyed]

Gary directly rushed out, wondering who could be so powerful to destroy a type 2 shield, they couldn't be destroyed by any types of bombs, it meant the situation was catastrophic. A second explosion was heard, this time much closer.

'It was the barracks, they want to kill everybody before we organise ourselves, not leaving us the chance to breathe. these are not your average amateurs' Gary thought and feared the worst for the children of his master

He stopped running to think of his next course of action, Gary was an experienced military man who went through all kinds of warfare throughout the system, panic and fear were emotions that were no longer part of him, but tonight he had a very bad feeling.

Reaching to his timer AI on his left hand, a holographic display of the house plan materialized in front of him.

'Emily's room is not far, I'll take her first before reaching out to Brian'

Before he moved though, the wall in front of him was blasted and his master Bilanda walked out holding his 5 year old son with one hand.

Bilanda Onana was a very handsome 2 meters tall man in his late thirties, he rose into prominence as a first generation space elemental and was currently the Master of house Onana.

Watching the sudden appearance of his master, Gary steadied himself and went towards him urgently.

"Gary" Bilanda shouted "Take him, i will go fetch Emily. there's a secret door to the left of my drawing room, use the boy's fingerprints and you'll access it. wait for me I'll bring Emily, if I'm not there in 5 minutes.... " He hesitated before saying confidently "leave"

Taking the boy who was wide awake and confused by what was going on, Gary replied "but leave to where sir ?"

"You'll see everything there" Bilanda replied decisively "I don't have time, see you in five minutes" and he left.

Bilanda rushed out to his 3 year old daughter's room while thinking rapidly, he knew who waged the attack against him tonight and why he did it. things have been heating up recently

'but for him to attack me now ? and here of all places? even I didn't see him capable of doing this' he sighed disappointedly when suddenly a ball of fire was launched at him at full speed, he stared at it and then out of nowhere, a small dimensional hole of the fireball size appeared in the path of the fireball and it simply disappeared inside.

Stopping to see where the attack came from, half a dozen men appeared in front of him.

A battle was about to start.
