6 Chapter 6

The door had blasted open and Ace sat down? He sat down right in front of the open door and he closed his eyes and started meditating.

The mana all around him was being brought into his mana channels and he could feel it as he started to sweat and make a pained face.

The continuous messages were appearing in his face but still, he didn't stop, he kept going for 10 minutes until he coughed up blood and could do no more.

He laid down on the ground in front of the door, and he didn't move.

He just laid and laid there, he was asleep then soon he woke up to the screech of a giant ape.

He looked around and screeched at the open door, and he thought to himself.

"What happened here?!"

The Ape started to walk outside of the room and he spotted Ace, and it looked at Ace.

"Are you the one that called out to me from my room?"

"I'm not too sure, I'm the one you're thinking of"

"There's no one else here"

"You said my name and called me out, who are you?"

Ace was shivering, it was his first time conversing with a monster from a dungeon.

"Answer me!"

As he screamed, there was a large gust of cold wind that flowed straight through to Ace, he fell to the ground and looked up at the giant Ape.

He was too scared to answer him and when he tried to his voice was stuttering.

"M-m-my name is A-A-A-c-c-e."

"Ace? How did you find out my name?"

"I don't kn-o-o-w your na-m-e"

"But you're the only person in this area, let alone this dungeon. There is no one else, now stop lying to me!"

"I'm not lying, I'm really not."

"You know, your eyes are similar to that of a person I know. But if you aren't who I think you are, then you need to die."

The giant Ape turned a blind eye to his words and he attacked him with no hesitation.

The shadows had covered almost the whole area and Ace disappeared.

As the Ape saw the shadows and the man controlling it, he fell to the floor on his knees in fear and he stayed on his knees as Ace walked out of the shadows.

"What's happening? why are you on your knees?"

"Shadow Monarch, I'm sorry I didn't realize that was you."

"What are you talking about? Who is the Shadow Monarch?"

Ace was confused and he didn't know what to say, suddenly he fell to the floor and got up instantly, only this time, he stood differently, his aura changed and the black coat was back.

"Tardis. What happened to you? Why are you an E-rank monster now?"

"After the Great War, the people made me a prisoner and lowered my grade."

"Who were the people exactly?"

"It was the people above"

"I see, anyways come into the shadows, I'm taking you away."

Tardis walked into the shadows and it engulfed him, then it slowly started to dissipate and there was no sign of him, not even the skill book was left.

Ace had fallen to the ground again and for some reason, he felt stronger while he also felt confused, he had been wondering since his first dungeon, what happened to the boss?

He looked around for the body but to no avail. He thought to himself "Who keeps helping me? Why does this happen every time at the boss?"

He continued to question and question until finally he accepted that fact and he walked out of the dungeon only to be confronted by many Hunters two of them including his father and the Guild Master.

As they saw me move out of the dungeon they either became angry, surprised or excited and all three of those emotions were in his father's face.

His father walked up to him and he grabbed him by the ear and pulled him very hard into a building opposite all the people.

They waited outside as they waited for Ace to come out, but while they waited Ace and his father sat there for a few minutes in awkward silence while Ace awkwardly looked at his father's confusing expressions.

Soon after his father actually started to speak.

"I'm sorry son, I was just so lost for words."

"No it's fine, I expected at least that much. The weakest in the family is a unique now."

"Your brothers aren't going to be happy about this, you need to watch out and remember, you're my son but they are too which is why I won't be interfering. Beat them down with your own strength, you're older remember?"

Ace thought about the hard life that was soon to come, but even so, he made a confident face and he stood up and looked at his dad and spoke confidently.

"I'm not that weak, that they can just beat me"

His father smiled as he stood up and put his arm around Ace's shoulder, and they walked out of the building to the people standing there all confused.

"I'm done talking with my son, you may speak to him now."

The hunters that were there before were part of The Reset Agents, they were an organization that took care of rogue hunters and monsters. They either took them to prison to serve their time, made them work to serve their time or they were exiled.

If you were exiled, they would send you outside. If you were sent outside, there were monsters everywhere, there were gates everywhere, it wasn't a place you would ever want to be.

"Ace Blaine, you are being taken into custody."

The Reset Agents threw handcuffs onto him and they took him onto a ship specially reserved for those that contributed to the dungeons or were higher-ups. It was something like an airship, Ace was taken to a dark room where he couldn't see, he tried to activated night vision but to no avail.

These cuffs that were on him had something that weakened his body, he didn't know what it was called.

For hours he sat in that cold dark room and struggled very much, but still, he always ended up in the same spot and he stayed waiting for The Reset Agents.

Finally, after many hours a door opened and he could see, a man came in and he was a handsome, frail, blonde man with a white uniform on, he was a higher-up of the Reset Agent and he looked familiar, very, very familiar.

"Well, well, if this isn't a surprise, the most useless person I know suddenly learned to clear a dungeon on his own, but he did it without jurisdiction, I'm not sure, should I give the max punishment or be lenient?"

It was the man Ace wanted to meet the least, it was someone that would go against his every move, it was someone that he had cursed many times be it for things he did or the things he said, Ace hated him.
