Chapter 4 The Teachers Approach

Now that the earth elemental had joined back with the group marching around him he could begin the widening of the tunnels. Anthony began widening the tunnels the cacti stayed where they were but the distance between them and the wall grew by couple feet. The cacti with the ants and mice nesting behind them stayed in their original spot next to the to provide protection to their nests. Anthony molded the ceiling to have stalactites here and there he also deepened the floor in the middle of the tunnel. Once Anthony finally finished the width of the tunnel which had been six feet across and seven feet tall had grown to be twelve feet across and ten feet tall.

These were basic improvements compared to the three foot deep to four foot deep in some areas creek he now had running through every tunnel. The newest ice elemental seemed pleased that it could float around the entire dungeon like it was in a lazy river with minor steering required. Now that the pools were connected what it would need is a small current which Anthony had succeeded in making by having tiny slits in the rocks near the end and beginnings of the creek. These slits would suck in water and pump it out at whichever end Anthony chose meaning he could change direction of the current whenever he wanted.

Anthony had used a total of 225 mana to make all the new changes. Anthony would now have to take these changes in mind whenever he expanded his dungeon. Anthony had finally started to relax when he noticed some disturbance near his original entrance. Anthony watched as the hole guard changed from a skinny lanky kind of guy to a small lady probably around four foot eleven. The two talked for a bit before the lanky guy headed off saying he had to let Jack know about some weird noise's coming from the cave.

The small lady sat alone at the entrance for a bit before Daniel joined her they talked while he held a flashlight which he pointed through the barrier into Anthony's dungeon. This was the first time Anthony realized his dungeon didn't have any lights at all no wonder the rotten crow didn't see his ice elemental. Anthony suddenly had a panicked thought wait no light how the hell are his plants still alive. Anthony hastily checked on his cacti and lilly pads which still seemed to be doing just fine he sighed in relief. Anthony's view turned back to the entrance as he calmed down only to start panicking again as Daniel and a small group of teachers were carefully removing the blockade. Anthony watched as one of the female teachers took over holding the flashlight and looking into the cave.

It seems the sounds of a dying bird weren't easily brushed off as coincidence when they come from a hole in the wall. Anthony (WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ONLY INVESTIGATING THE SOUNDS NOW WHAT DID THEY BRUSH OFF ROCKS SLAMMING INTO EACH OTHER IN THE EPIC BATTLES OF MOUSE GUNDAM BUT A UNDEAD BIRD SCREAMING FOR MERCY IS WHAT SCREAMS OUT ENTER THE CAVE TO YOU). While Anthony screamed curses and obscenities at them the teacher's were looking into the cave worryingly.

Daniel checked the entrance (there wasn't water here before right). Anna shook her head no in response while she checked the lilly pads near the main entrance (these lilly pads and cactus's weren't here either how are they growing with no light). The team consisted of Daniel the runic warrior, Richard the tamer, Anna the I don't know what she is, John the whatever man I don't know these guy's classes yet and I hope not to please turn back mentally screamed Anthony. The team had ventured in enough to see the path branching one way forward and another way right.

Anthony cursed as he got ready to summon a bark scorpion but stopped before pressing the confirm command. Anthony changed the monitor to show the ice elementals instead Anthony hesitantly pressed confirm to buy three ice elementals. The ice elementals spawned right at the bend in front of the core they silently plopped into the water and started to steering themselves towards the teachers. Anthony hoped he could scare them away it was strangely comforting to see the ice elementals a notification popped up but Anthony swept it to the side for later. The ice elementals instead of normally floating down the creek they were slowly freezing the water as they went the ice they made was about five inches thick. The three newest earth elementals started to follow after their new ice elemental friends but at a much slower pace. The oldest earth and ice elemental stayed behind guarding Anthony who was very touched by his elementals charging off to drive away his invaders.

Anthony watched the epic charge of his elementals which was so awesome he had to watch it in slow motion. Well the slow one's were the earth elementals the ice elementals were half way there already. Daniel and his team checked here and there around the tunnel. The team hadn't really progressed since the fork they were trying to decide if they should proceed or head back. The decision was made for them when the water near their legs started freezing over. While at first confused about how the water suddenly frozen ice balls started to be shot at them from deeper in the cave.

This attack of ice balls did little damage to the teachers all it really did was scare them for a couple of seconds. The teachers pointed their flashlights towards the ice to see nothing. There was literally nothing on the ice except a few dents in it's surface. The teachers could actually see the projectiles being formed and shot at the them but the attacker was nowhere to be found. Daniel looked around the ice until he saw three rocks sliding down the ice. The rocks looked surprisingly ordinary until they finally hit land which they slowly climbed up on. The rocks climbing onto land was all well and good cause the teachers were shocked by moving rocks.

What happens next actually hurt cause the sharp piece's of the ceiling were now being shot at them. The teacher's were being pelted with ice and rocks Daniel moved forward while covering his face with one hand and wielding his crowbar with the other. Daniel was almost to the first rock when Anna grabbed him pulling him back this signaled thier retreat. The teachers reached the exit pretty easily since as soon as they went towards the exit the attacks stopped. Daniel and the team rest at one of the tables previously used to blockade the entrance.

Daniel (any particular reason you called for a retreat Anna i know things got hectic but I'm sure we could of handled a couple rocks) asked Daniel with a sour expression. Anna smiled (you know what my class is I'm a mage if you had hit that little rock those other rocks would have caused a cave in or at least half of one. Since I'm a mage I can sense mana what we were being pelted with were warning shots). Daniel frowned (why did they shoot warning shots instead of using full force) Anna shook her head (heck if i know). Richard shrugged (maybe the bird was invading their territory from what i heard the bird was apparently going crazy for a while).

Anthony on the other hand was so happy with his elementals he used terraforming to to make a miniature playground in his core room. Anthony had made a set of swings one for each type of elemental a couple slides heck he even added a medium sized ring of water around his core just enough water so the ice elementals could float around his core. Anthony had used a surprisingly little amount of mana to do this only twenty mana. Anthony watched as the elementals slowly made thier way back. Only now did Anthony check the notification he got earlier.

(Congratulations you have gathered ten monsters of the type elemental as the first to see power in these misunderstood creatures you've been awarded with more elemental monster choices which will replace some of your original monster choices when picking new monsters every five levels. As an extra reward since your original choice of bark scorpion has never been used it's been replaced with the elemental monster ice spike scorpion as always good luck surviving).

Ice spike scorpions are usually found in arctic regions these scorpions are known for their surprise attacks from beneath the snow. The ice spike scorpion can fire ice spikes from their tails each time they fire one the scorpion will have to spend their mana to create another. they are two feet tall and three feet long cost 75dp for one 380dp for a spawn point.
