1 Chapter 1 The Selection

One minute Anthony was sitting at home the next he was in a strange room that seemed to have no entrance or exit. Try as he might Anthony couldn't move from where he was as he struggled to move or do almost anything. Anthony's memory also seemed messed up while he can remember his name and most basic knowledge he couldn't remember anything about his personal life. While Anthony tried to make sense of the situation a blue screen appeared in front of him (Congratulations you have been selected to be a dungeon core you will have to pick various things for your dungeon but that will be later. First you shall be transferred the knowledge you will need to effectively use your dungeon menu please prepare for the pain that comes with the knowledge transfer). Before Anthony could even process what the screen ment it felt like his head if he had one had been hit with a sledgehammer. Anthony almost lost consciousness as the information was seemingly crammed inside him his mind struggling to process it.

After ten minutes Anthony could start to process the information he had just gained most of which was how to work the various dungeon menu's. The dungeon menu seemed simple enough to use the complicated thing was information on things like dp gathering or much dp one gain from various types of invading creatures. Overall the information had given him exactly what he needed to make sense of his current situation. Anthony wasn't the first to be chosen he wasn't even the thousandth he was 8351st. Anthony being one of the latest to be chosen did give him some perks but not near as much if he had been chosen in the first hundred. Before Anthony could curse his fate and scream to heavens in anguish the blue screen popped up again. (Now that you have successfully understood the dungeon information choose three starting monsters, two prey animals, and two types of plant fauna for your dungeon. Please note that you will have no choice where you're dungeon will be placed but you can alter your environment with the terraforming skills good luck).

Bark scorpion these three foot long scorpions exoskeletons have mutated to look just like tree bark.

Vine snake what these snakes lack in defense is made up for by their fast acting paralyzing venom.

Blood piranha a mutated red belly piranha that has grown to be two foot long their swarming habits have only gotten worse.

Mimicking fish these fish which used to only make croaking sounds can now mimic human speech to lure prey into the water.

Lowest ice elemental a rolling sphere of ice can use beginning ice magic.

Lowest earth elemental what was once a ordinary rock can now walk with its hidden legs can use beginning earth magic.

Anthony quickly read through each monsters description. Anthony really liked the elemental options hell he could probably imbed the the ice elemental into the walls and have them constantly pump out cold air helping form frost over everything. The earth elemental was a good choice for obvious reasons rocks are literally everywhere so no matter where his dungeon was they'd fit in. What Anthony wasn't sure about was his third monster as it could be a potential hit or miss depending on the environment. Anthony eventually settled on the Bark scorpion for his third monster. (Please pick two prey animals for your dungeon monsters as only one of your monsters eats your choices have been reduced).

Forest hare a rabbit that evolved to live in forests.

Common house mice the mice that infest houses where people live.

Common finch a small bird usually lives and nests in tree's.

Anthony picked the finch's and mice as he could probably gain access to rabbits pretty easily on the plus side his two elementals didn't need to eat. (Please pick two types of plant fauna for your dungeon).

Common cave mushrooms can be found in just about every cave they flourish in damp dark environments.

Berry bush the berry's type is decided by the environment it's placed in.

Cave moss grows on rocks these plants store a surprising amount of water.

Barrel cactus these cactus's get their name from their unique shape that's just like a barrel. A white flower will bloom on the top of it every night.

Pink rimmed lily pads these lily pads are known for the pale pink that lines the rim of their buoyant leaves.

Aquatic mana grass grows in ponds, lakes, creeks, and rivers just about anywhere there's freshwater this plant can be found.

Anthony once again found himself in a quandary since he was randomly gonna be spawned on earth this could make or break his dungeon. The upside is his terraforming ability will help whatever he picks have a decent chance at survival. The downside is no matter how good a chance it is it won't matter if he's spawned in a desolate wasteland or within the ocean depths. Anthony hesitantly choose the barrel cactus and pink rimmed Lilly pads of the two one had to be useful. (Your choices have been set good luck on growing your dungeon).

Anthony lost consciousness after reading the the last blue screen. When Anthony woke up he could see a couple of those lights that use those really long tube light bulbs at the end of a hallway. The painted blue walls seemed to mash together with the rocky walls of his dungeon core room. Anthony's appearance was that of a black ping pong ball in a bowl hanging from the ceiling by black chains. Beyond the hallway Anthony weirdly enough could hear the sounds of people talking after he scanned his surroundings he immediately checked his status.

Terraforming

You can use your mana to extend your influence and change your dungeon to match what you picture in your mind.

Anthony immediately started to use terraforming to push his core room further away from the entrance to his dungeon. While Anthony using terraforming his mana was being drained from him. When he finally stopped his mana had gone from 250 to 37 and he'd increased the distance between him and the entrance by 56 meters or 183 feet he even added a curve so he was no longer able to be seen from the entrance. Since he had increased the distance between him and the entrance he felt safe enough to browse his dp menu and check the costs.

Barrel cactus 5dp Pink rimmed lilly pads 7dp

Common house mice 10dp for one. Common finch 8dp for one.

Lowest earth elemental 50dp for one 250dp for a spawn point the spawn point will spawn at least one a day at most two.

Lowest ice elemental 50dp for one 250dp for a spawn point the spawn point will spawn at least one a day at most two.

Bark scorpion 80dp for one 400dp for a spawn point this spawn point will spawn one every two days.

Anthony looked over his dungeon which was in the shape of an L at the moment. The dungeon was quite barren at the moment there was no water and he didn't really have the mana to make any right now. Anthony bought ten barrel cacti and placed them at equal intervals from each other fifty dp gone like that. Anthony then bought five common mice as he didn't select any specific general three females and two males were spawn another fifty dp gone. Anthony spent fifteen mana on building them a burrow behind one of the cacti they rushed into it for protection.

Anthony now felt pretty drained so he decided to stop using mana until he at least regenerated half. Anthony decided to buy a lowest earth elemental spawner as it was the monster that would most make sense to be in his dungeon. Anthony watched as what used to be 400dp dropped to 150dp what appeared in it's place was a small tunnel to the right of him.

Out of this newly formed tunnel a rock the size of a fist rolled out it's tiny nubby feet dragging it across the floor at a snail's pace. Anthony stared at this small creature that was still bigger then him it seemed to stop and stare back at him. Awkward silence seemed to be understatement as Anthony's mind seemed to have stopped all thought process's. Anthony's mind seemed to have reset as he began to scan the creature searching any sign it could possibly protect him besides being used to bash someone's head in. Anthony failed to find one besides the fact that it could use beginning level earth magic. Anthony sighed as cute as the earth elemental is while slowly nubbing its way around he didn't think it could protect him. Anthony decided to save his dp to buy another spawn point as helpless as the earth elemental appeared it was still his best option for protection while he waited.
