Chapter Nine

Bethany sat alone inside the dining room, it is a normal event occurred everyday, she's already accustomed to it, but Ofcourse, the pain and disappointment will always be there,

Bethany close her eyes and calm her aching heart.

Her father hate them, she is aware of that, the reason Ofcourse is absurd.

Bethany can't understand her father's feeling, her father hated her and her brother, but he should care and love them instead, right? Because she knows their father loves their mother.

'I don't understand'

Bethany clench the hem of her dress, until her knuckles turned white, suddenly she felt a light pat that brought her back from her trance

"Miss" Andy crunch down, facing Bethany, the maid pull out a white towel, and start wiping the corner of her miss eyes, she felt sorry for her miss.

The maid is thinking too hard how to lighten her miss mood when she recall her young master,

'oh right! Young master!…'

she almost forgot, only the young master can make my miss happy, so Andy remind her miss about young master Anthony return.

"Miss, don't be sad, young master will arrive in six days,"

Bethany looks at Andy with her large amber eyes, gave a simple nod as a gesture she understand.

'Heh, it work' andy said inwardly

Thinking about Anthony, Bethany's mood change, she flaunt her charming smile,

Seeing this Andy's heartbeat stop for a second, followed by her loud beating heart

'Oh my god! My young miss, if you smile like that, you will be the reason of war! A war between man, my gosh!"

Bethany furrowed her brows, she look at the maid who is standing silly.

"Andy, are you alright?" She asked

"Yes miss, ….. (gulp) .. ofcourse" Andy blink her eyes multiple times, and pinch her arm to wake up,

"Uhm miss, about the year end party….."

Bethany tilt her head "hm? What about it?"

Andy don't know how she would tell this to her Miss, or… but before she can think properly, her disobedient mounth betray her.

"Miss about your dress, they deliver only Miss Mellisa dress, nothing for you"

"Oh" actually she dont care about a dress, she plan to attend the ball only fo Anthony's award, so she did not feel an extreme disappointment, also she's not used to attend a ball or a tea parties, Annison forbid her saying she looks so plain and it will only embarrass the family if they saw her, so she followed what her stepmother say, and stay inside her room as always.

"It's alright Andy, i still have my old dress"

"But miss!" The maid anxiously call to her miss, what dress? Her miss doesn't own ball dress, what she had is only everyday home clothes.

"Its alright, so please calm down Andy"

Bethany pat her maids hand,

"Alright I'll follow what my miss say,..

By the way miss, what breakfast you want?"

'Oh yeah breakfast' Bethany recall she did not eat her meal yet.

"Anything light, will do" she have no appetite but still she need to feed her hungry stomach.

After a few minutes, the maid return with her food.

The room envelope in silence, only the sound of Bethany's utensil can be hear.
