C43 - Delivery

We sat down in the modest dining room. Conner had certainly outdone himself. Food was clearly his passion. That was evident not only from his waist line but the spread that greeted us. I wondered if he had to go and purchase special ingredients or if we had this on hand. I sat at the head of the table. Ada sat at the opposite end of the table, which was protocol when only two were dining together. We were being served a kind of white meat with a crispy coating covered in cheese and what tasted like tomato sauce. Along with mashed potatoes and an unidentified roasted vegetable. Connor's culinary skills were not only evident in the rich flavors that danced on my palate, but also in the colorful, enticing presentation of each dish. The richness of the real cheese made me drool a little as I was chewing. Luckily, no one noticed.

When dinner was done, Ada commented, "You're a lot more mature than your typical four year old."
