"What? But isn't that just a rumor?"

"Oh my! That's right! There was never even a lady that the Northern Duke escorted at the banquet!" 

"That's right, Lady Vanessa! It's just some rumor that It's not even new!"

The ladies in the tea party giggled at what Lady Vanessa shared. She felt her face reddened as she was embarrassed that the news she obtained with such difficulty and thought that it would be the center of the conversation as it was interesting was dismissed just like that!

"Ho ho ho ho!"

"My~ oh my~"

After hearing Lady Vanessa and dismissing her story, the ladies resumed and proceeded to the next topic.

It isn't really that much hard to believe that the rumor lover of the Northern Duke was just another baseless hearsay that arose from somewhere.
