Stranger or Lover

"The passionate love story of the lovely Lady Violet and the heroic Arch Duke Ralf takes place in a universe very different from ours. Magic and mysticism thrive. Royalty and nobility rule."

She selected the book at random from the bookcase, and she is reading the back of it, My Dearest Prince. As usual, she's in the library where she intended to start her semester's reading early. However, she ultimately found herself sidetracked by the numerous new volumes the library had purchased for the upcoming academic year.

In her own time, she enjoys reading these kinds of novels even though most people find the genre cutesy and juvenile, especially for a 21-year-old college student. Although she would want to keep her pals in the dark about this hobby, she isn't truly ashamed of it.

Since she already has a lot on her plate as a medical student, she would prefer to avoid adding more stress to her friendships by withholding too much personal information from them. She honestly just needs her friends so she won't have to eat by herself while at school. It bothers her to eat by herself.

In order to read the book whenever and wherever she pleased, she chooses to borrow it. She digs through her blue backpack in an attempt to find her library card. Where did I put it before? As she searches through everything, a few of her belongings unintentionally fall out of her bag. Oh no, did I lose it somewhere?

"This what you're looking for?" Her library card appears to be visible. "Yes!" She feels relieved. I thought I lost it.

When she looks up, she sees a man holding out his ID, but she is unable to see his face. Was this how bright the lighting was in the library? She accepts it from the anonymous man, who then walks away before she can say thank you. Thank you and good bye, stranger!

She chooses to begin reading the first chapter of My Dearest Prince because she still has some time before her next class starts.

"The Great Eurosian Empire is regarded as the strongest on Earth. Throughout the previous 500 years, it has been the biggest and wealthiest Empire. The Imperial Family that occupies the coveted throne is known as House Ludington." This book will probably be finished in less than three days.

After a few weeks...

She's with her two friends Anna and Rose after her morning classes. They're headed to lunch at the university cafeteria.

Abruptly, she realizes that she has an anatomy quiz instantly

Could we please drop by my locker? She says to her friends, "I need to get a book."

After agreeing, they go to the locker row that is located down the hall. She's surprised when a blue envelope falls out of her locker when she opens it. A missive? She takes it up and opens it to see who it is intended for. Her name is neatly written on the front of the envelope, and it makes her heart skip a beat.

"My goodness, what is that? A letter of love addressed to you? How charming!" Says Rose. Her plump companion puts her hands together in a swooning gesture. Her motions are accompanied by the bounce of her plump cheeks and shoulder-length black hair. Rose has a lot of secret admirers, which is why. Her adorable charms enchant them all. She muses to herself. Her other friend is the complete opposite. Anna's remarkable features, curly black hair, and tall stature

makes her stand out from the crowd with ease. Her tendency to behave like a child is the only issue.

"What? Who in this century writes love letters? Let me see, everyone sends flirtatious messages!" Rose quickly takes off with the envelope.

"Hi! Read that not at all!" She tries to take it back from Rose , but she can't because the other girl is taller.

Even though she doesn't know what the letter is about, she feels that it would be extremely embarrassing if her friends saw it. Rose begins to open the envelope, but she stops herself in mid-movement when she senses her friend's intense stare. Gazing at her friend, she was flushed like a tomato.

"I apologize; I was kidding! Here," Rose gives it back to her, chuckling uncomfortably.

"I've never seen you so worked up like this before, you must be angry!" Attempting to lighten the awkward mood, Anna says.

She was acting so upset about Rose's taunting her without realizing it. She is aware that Rose was most likely joking around. She smiles and rapidly gathers herself, "Yeah, I'm just angry ha ha! Still, Rose, you shouldn't attempt to read a letter written by someone else."

"I apologize; I promise not to do that again. I'm starving, let's head out now!"

Rose leaps between the two girls, entwining their limbs. Though her thoughts stray to the enigmatic blue envelope she's now hiding in her backpack, the three of them stroll joyfully arm in arm to the cafeteria. She wonders who sent it and can't wait to see what's inside.

She opens the envelope and reads the letter inside as soon as she arrives at her dorm room. Her hands start to shake, she realizes. Why am I anticipating and feeling so anxious about this? Or maybe it's just a joke letter.

To my beloved woman,

When I first saw you, it was a fateful day. I noticed you standing in my all-time favorite spot. I fell in love with you at first sight, almost immediately, as if by lightning. I was too shy to approach such a gorgeous woman, so I was just observing you from a distance.

Your identity card unexpectedly fell out of your bag while you were looking for something inside. I took that opportunity to pick it up off the floor because I wanted to know your name. I returned what belonged to you and committed your name to memory. I wanted to talk to you, but I had to leave because I was too shy.

However, I've finally plucked up the courage to write you a love confession. I would like to have a face-to-face meeting with you at Wilson Park, the one across campus. Please come over to me on December 25 at dusk.

Love,

R

How the heck about it? She feels like her heart is racing and she has butterflies in her stomach. Was I reading the letter correctly, or what? At the library, of all places, a guy just kind of fell in love with me! She can't remember the identity of the man who gave her ID, but she does remember what happened at the library a few weeks ago. All she can see is the picture of a man with a bright light covering his face.

This R guy says he wants to meet with me on December 25, which is three days from now, and he writes in a style reminiscent of the dialogue between the characters in my favorite romance novels. But watch out—he might turn out to be a psychotic serial killer or a spooky stalker! If she does decide to meet this R guy at the park, her active imagination begins conjuring up various scenarios.

One: He might be a charming man with a wonderful disposition. She will eventually fall in love with him, get married to him, and lead a happy life together!

Two: He might be a weird, shy, ugly guy.

Three: R guy kills her after meeting her. The conclusion.

Though she harbours a tiny glimmer of hope that it might come in first, there's a good chance it will come in second. Perhaps this is my chance to fulfill my lifelong dream of playing the romantic lead in a romance book!

In an attempt to gather her thoughts, she begins pacing her dorm room. She is informed by reason that it is extremely risky to meet a stranger. But what if she was going to the meeting with other people? Most likely, Rose and Anna will consent to accompany her.

I've made up my mind to meet him.
