1 Chapter 1: The Royal Throne (Arc: Gloria Kingdom)
Highland Continent, the ancient land of history. There were four kingdoms of four different species: Gloria Kingdom-Kingdom of the richest steppes, endowed with green forests and belonged to humans. Sandx Kingdom-Kindom of the desert, where the nomads surfed on the sandhills and the hammer of the dwarves' smithy resounds non-stop. Lanxter-Kingdom of Dark Elves and the beasts that hunger and hunt endlessly in the forest of nightmares. Newlaphaine Kingdom-Kingdom of Elves and home of the magic of witches. Four kingdoms promised will never cause a war and will help each other in Highland Continent. The four kingdoms prospered together and the peace lasted for 1000 years. But humans were always a greedy species, they wanted the abundant minerals of the Sandx kingdom, the magic of Newlaphine kingdom and the dark of Lanxter kingdom. There was a year, the 20th king of Gloria kingdom king Arthur Gloria had temporarily ceded the throne to his cousin Vansing Gloria for the search of the new land outside the Highland Continent. But Vansing was a greedy man, he started a war to conquer all the kingdoms. Many knights were thrown to the battlefield to invade many lands of other kingdoms. The four strongest knights became The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, they were unstoppable and no one could fight against them even a fully armored army. Until the Horseman of Death left, their stories became a legend. War had destroyed Highland Continent. Thankfully king Arthur had returned, he reclaimed the throne from his cousin and banished his family out of Gloria Kingdom. The peace had returned to Highland Continent, but damages of The First War were still left. A magical border was erected and a pact was signed to begin a new peace for the continent. Until one day. Ten years after The First War, the time had come for the throne to be ceded. Princess Eva Gloria, the only daughter of King Arthur. Princess Eva since birth had had blonde hair like sunlight, a gentle and caring princess, she was also well-educated and worthy to be crowned queen. The common people and nobles loved princess Eva. Eva was sitting next to the window, she looked through the window and watched Gloria city. Gloria City, a large city built near a large harbor. The city was built thousands of years ago by the Gloria family and still stood today. The city was built inside a large stone wall and secure defense system. Entering the gate was a residential area consisting of thousands of people's houses, including farmers, small traders, and fishermen. Gloria people were gentle, kind and hardworking people, people's lives were very peaceful. There was also a system of stone roads, sewers, markets, ports... Going deep into the city was Gloria castle, it also had a small defensive wall and was a biggest, majestic and oldest castle in the Highland Continent. Eva looked at the life of her people said worriedly:
"So that day has come, I will become the queen of Gloria Kingdom. But what I should do when I'm a queen, I have to focus on manager the kingdom and caring for my people. I'm really worried because I won't be able to be greater than my father."
Someone knocked on the door outside, she said:
"Princess Eva, King Arthur is waiting for you in the throne room."
"Thank you Julia for reminding me, I'll be right down."
Eva stood up, she took her princess crown and put it on. Eva went outside her room and went to the throne room. As she walked along with the steps of the castle, Eva thought:
"I may not be greater than my father, but I will be a good queen."
Eva entered the throne room where all the officials, nobles and generals had gathered to witness her ascension to the throne. Eva walked slowly on the red carpet and toward King Arthur sitting on the throne. He smiled proudly at his daughter. Eva stood before her father and bowed gently before him and then knelt before the throne. Outside, many people gathered in front of the castle gate to welcome Queen Eva. King Arthur said:
"Listen, people of Gloria kingdom. I, King Arthur Gloria, the 20th king of the kingdom of Gloria, the time has come to give the throne and this kingdom to my only daughter Eva Gloria. Rise, my daughter."
Eva stood up. She was a little worried, but also happy. King Arthur continued:
"My daughter, promise me that you will use all your strength and your responsibility to rule Gloria kingdom to grow stronger and more prosperous."
"I promise, father."
King Arthur left the throne and approached Eva. He took off the princess crown and lifted the royal crown. He continued:
"Eva Gloria, I entrust the royal crown to you. Take it and become the 21st queen of the kingdom of Gloria."
King Arthur slowly placed the crown on Eva's head. Suddenly, dark clouds came and cover the whole city. A large explosion destroyed the gate of the city wall, causing King Arthur to suddenly drop the royal crown. More than thousands of golden knights stormed the city. The kingdom's knights immediately went to war but their strength was nothing. The people fled in fear and the castle was besieged. Surprised by the explosion and attack, everyone in the throne room couldn't help but wonder who might initiate this attack. Suddenly the door to the throne room was destroyed by a terrible fire. The golden knights entered and quickly surrounded everyone. People are worried and scared. King Arthur shouted angrily:
"Who are you to dare to come here?"
The golden knights stood on either side to make way for someone. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse slowly entered, they were back, still the same thorny and haunting armor, the same deadly killing intent. Horseman of War Zack Madness wore lion armor, new Horseman of Death Hatai Wix wore elephant armor, Horseman of Plague Reaper Sin wore crow armor, Horseman of Famine Exos Warth wore bear armor. King Arthur was surprised, he said:
"The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, impossible."
Zack replied:
"It's not just us. There's someone else you should meet."
Someone walked in with crimson armor maybe their leader. he walked slowly and looked very dangerous. He walked past the Four Horsemen and approached King Arthur and Eva. Two knights charged at the leader. He pulled out his Phoenix dual swords Believer(It was a dual swords with a sharp golden blade and a phoenix wings guard) and beheaded the two knights. The leader stood in front of King Arthur and Eva. King Arthur said:
"Who are you?"
The leader opened his helmet so everyone could see his face. He said:
"I am Urizen Gloria, son of King Arthur's cousin Vansing Gloria, who was banished by you. I have returned to reclaim the throne of Gloria kingdom."
Everyone was surprised. Eva said:
"It was uncle who waged war across the continent. Expulsion made sense. There's nothing for you here."
"Eva, my cousin. Are you this old and ready to be queen?"
"Yes, and I will make a better queen than your father."
"Haha, I'm sorry but maybe not today Eva."
King Arthur said loudly:
"Enough! You will be punished Urizen like your father. For daring to attack the kingdom and daring to interrupt the coronation ceremony."
Urizen smiled evilly, he said:
"The Phoenix."
Suddenly, a fire phoenix flew out from behind Urizen. It flew around the room and was constantly on fire burning everything. Urizen ordered The Phoenix:
"The Phoenix, kill them."
The Phoenix flew towards Eva and launched fire feathers at her. King Arthur rushed to push his daughter away and was hit. The king's whole body was on fire, he cried out in pain. Eva shouted:
"Father, no!"
King Arthur said for the last time:
"Be strong my daughter."
Eva burst into tears and watched as King Arthur slowly turned to ashes. The Phoenix lunges at Eva again and launched feathers at her. The feather hit Eva's dress, she tore it off and ran away. Urizen said:
"Go after her."
Several golden knights chased after Eva. Urizen picked up the royal crown and put it on his head. He sat on the throne, The Phoenix landed on top of the throne asserting Urizen's authority. Urizen said:
"Kneel before me, the new king of Gloria kingdom ."
Everyone knelt before Urizen including the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse. He laughed happily and said:
"I have become a king, father."
Eva ran down the corridors of the castle with the knights chasing after her. Eva cried while running, but she remembered what her father told her to become stronger. Eva ran into the kitchen, she immediately slammed the door and blocked it. Eva looked around the kitchen, she said:
"Where should I go?"
There was a back door to the kitchen, and Eva ran to the door and opened it a crack to look outside. There were still many knights of Urizen outside. Eva closed the back door and continued looking for a way to hide. The knights chasing Eva have arrived, they try to break the door to capture her. Eva says:
"Oh no, they're here."
Eva quickly grabbed the kitchen knife, but she never knew how to use it in her whole life. Suddenly Eva saw the garbage door, she opened it and looked down. Eva wondered:
"Is it deep?"
The knights were about to come in, she said:
"I've run out of ideas."
Eva jumped into the garbage door and fell down at the same time the knights rushed in, they didn't know where she went. Eva fell down and screamed in fear. Eva landed in the castle dump, her dress was dirty. Eva said:
"My dress, but I have to go."
Eva came out of the dump and into a residential area. The knights chased Eva back to Urizen and announce that Eva had successfully escaped. Urizen said angrily:
"Idiots, you only have one job. I know there will be traitors who will rally in resistance to overthrow me. If Eva finds them, all the peasants in the kingdom will join them to fight against me."
Reaper said:
"My king, let me find the princess. I will bring her back."
Zack said:
"You go just to cause more trouble. I will order our troops to find the princess, she won't go far."
Urizen replied:
" Okay. Zack brings Eva back to me. You too, whoever brings Eva back first will be rewarded."
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse bowed to Urizen and began their hunt for Eva. Urizen's army started searching for Eva, they stood at the gates of the city to prevent anyone from passing, some of them checked the bridges and ransacked every house, all to capture Eva. It was already dark, Eva was hiding in a small alley. She looked around in case anyone noticed her. Eva sat on the ground, she was very hungry, touched her empty stomach and said:
"I'm so hungry but who's going to help me. I can't get anyone involved in helping me."
Suddenly someone said loudly:
"There, she is over there."
Several soldiers discovered Eva and chased after her. Eva whispered:
"I have to keep running."
Eva ran out of the alley and went into the market. All the houses around were dark, only Eva and the soldiers chasing her. Scared Eva says:
"Please, someone help me."
Suddenly, in the distance, there was a shop with lights on. Eva rushed to the store, she rushed inside and fell on the floor. A guy was standing at the cashier counter, he said:
"Sorry, the store is closed. Wait are you okay?"
Eva was so tired, she fainted. The soldiers chased, one of them said:
"Arrest her."
The guy replied:
"Hey, who the hell are you guys? The store is closed."
One soldier said:
"We are arresting her under the orders of King Urizen."
That guy replied:
"King Urizen? Is there a new king in this kingdom?"
Soldier said:
"You get out of the way, we'll arrest her."
That guy said:
"Hey, I don't like you at all and I don't care about any king."
The soldier said loudly:
"Go to hell, brat."
They striked into him, he said:
"The Knight."
The shop closed and only the screams of the soldiers remained. The next morning, no one saw them again. Eva was sleeping on the shop owner's bed. She opened her eyes then woke up and looked around. Eva says:
"Where am I?"
Eva slowly sat up. The door opened and the shop owner came in, he said:
"Hey, are you awake? I just made some soup, eat it."
The shop owner gave Eva a bowl of soup. She accepted the bowl of soup and replied:
"Thank you, wait I remember. Last night I ran into your shop. There were a bunch of soldiers chasing me, where are they?"
"I don't know, no one was chasing you. I just saw you running into my shop then fainting."
"Thank you for helping me. What's your name?"
"Zed, Zed Whitney."
