6 Lone Wolf

Now it was time to say Goodbye!

I began to glow in dim light and faded into the real world.

As I woke up, I found myself on a tuft of spongy grass, the wall that separated me from Skyler was gone, On the other side of the wall, I saw Skyler unconscious. I rushed in as I saw her and took her into my lap.

"Hey! Wake up! Wake up! " I patted Skyler's cheeks, but she showed no reaction, she seemed to be in a deep sleep.

While I was trying to wake her up, dozens of wolves surrounded us in a circular formation, so there remained no chance for us to escape.

"Huh! Not again! Not again! Why the hell did I get into this mess with these wolves." I yelled out loud as wolves again surrounded me same as they did in the dream.

I shifted unconscious Skyler on the ground and pulled out the silver rod that was plucked by us from those fences on our way. I stood against the wolves in order to protect Skyler who was lying unconscious behind me.

"I've failed in Skyler enough already, I can't bear to see her getting hurt again and again! I know I can't win, but I can try! I will try to protect her until I'm on my foot! Come on!" hundreds of memories of her flooded my mind, how she cared for me, how she was always there when I had nightmares, how she protected me, and now it was my turn to protect her.

One of the medium-sized wolves who were closest to us walked towards us and jumped to attack us with all his strength.

and in the very moment, I heard a sound of a sword cutting through flesh "Slash!!."

In a minute, blood was everywhere, Something happened, we were in one piece and the wolf that came to us was nowhere to be seen.

As I opened my eyes which got closed out of fear, I saw someone wielding a sword in a luxurious three-piece suit with a snake biting its tail embroidered on it, the wolf that attacked us was dead at his feet, I was able to feel the dark aura evolving from him. He looked back at my face with a smile and spoke with enthusiasm.

"Found you!"

He pulled a coin out of his pocket and tossed it into the air.

Meanwhile, Sabir had arrived at his destination, "The Werewolf Sanctuary.

"I always sneaked in here, despite being prohibited, I know where to find the ring and the ornament! Into the cabin of that old hag!" Sabir talked to himself as he sneaked into the sanctuary.

After searching for a while, Sabir reached the grand chief's cabin and began his search for the ornament and the ring.

"Ah Yes! Found it! I knew the chief was getting old, he never changed the place where he kept his things! He thought he could outsmart me haha, anyway I should get back to Kai and Skyler, they might be in trouble—"

"So long, partner! I missed you, are you in a hurry? Let's play!"

A man came out from the wall behind Sabir and he knew who he was.

"Aegiris! It's you, right? Aren't we friends?" Sabir asked the guy behind him.

"I can't let you take that ring! Sabir!"

"And stop talking about being friends??"

"You left me alone here! You told me we'll be together forever! You were a brother to me! You told me we both are the same yet different from others, so we could be friends! But you lied to me, you showed me a dream that you knew would never come true."

"Aegiris !! I left our home and you, so I could live!"

"If I would have never escaped from this place, I would've been dead already! And you know that!"

"I don't want to listen to any of your lies anymore! Return the ring! I don't want to hurt you!"

"I'm sorry, but I can't give it back after coming back to this hellhole"

"So, I guess there's no reason for me to hold back."

Awwoooooo!!! Aegiris howled, Shortly after the big howl his eyes began to turn yellow, his hands began to change into a wolf's claw, his skin became furry and his mouth formed a snout, he became turned into a "Werewolf"!

He attacked me with a thrust; he was trying to pounce me with the intention to kill. I barely made it out of his attack, I flipped few feet away from him and took a deep breath...

"I can't avoid him! I must settle this as quickly as possible, I need to get back to Skyler and Kai!"

"I never wanted to fight you! But it's like there's no way out"

Awooooooooo!!! I howled, and used the power of my ring. Same as Aegiris I was changing into a werewolf, but my eyes didn't turn yellow but into completely devilish, it turned completely black, including the sclera of my eyes.

[Sclera-The visible white part of the eye which covers 80% of an eye]

I attacked him with every ounce of strength to bring him down, but he was fast, he threw me at walls that I approached him. I tried to get up quickly, but I was stuck under the debris of the wall. while I was struggling to get up, he jumped at me and bit me on my face. his bite was so painful that made me scream helpless.

Without wasting a second, he began to take the ring off. I was losing the ring to him. It was my last chance to get my ring back. I had to use the ace I always had under my thumb.

"Aegeris! look Here!!!"

"huh"

He looked at my face and at the same moment I used my Ace; I switched between my eye colours. And shouted out loud "Evil Eye!."

(Evil Eye - a power to nullify any kind of power, ability, skill or attribute for a particular amount of time which only Sabir can use for some reason)

My eye colour changed from black to pink. As Aegeris got a gaze of my eyes, he fainted as his soul left his body.

"Thank goodness! I got him without hurting him If it weren't for this power, I might have died already. But in the first place, this eye power was the primary reason for my suffering."

Sabir took a breath of relief

"I guess he's not hurt! But It's not the time to worry about him, I should hurry back to Skyler and Kai now"

"Found you!! "The man in black cheered me gently with a smile. He tossed a coin high into the sky, at the moment he shot a glare at me as I was asking me to watch the coin closely.

"Swwoooosssshhhhhhh"

He charged at the wolves alone with his sword like lightning. He swept all the wolves as they were little bugs. It all happened while the coin was still In the air.

"Ahh! Missed it by 0.48 secs or it would've been a new high score"

I was watching this guy with my mouth open, as I watched Skyler regained her consciousness. She made an annoyed face after waking up. I took a whiff of relief after I got a good look at her.

"Are you guys okay? We should hurry back before more of the wolves show up, you were lucky they were just normal wolves—"

"Hey, guys I'm back!" Sabir shouted from an afar distance from us while running toward us

"thank goodness! I found you guys." Sabir was breathing heavily after running all the way to us.

"Yeah, we're—"

"TELEPORTATION" the guy in black shouted while snapping his fingers.

And before I knew it, we were out of the forest! We teleported into a vast green garden with a castle behind it. But it didn't matter when the thing that bothered me was, who was this amazing guy?

"Nobody lost a limb or something during the teleportation? Right."

"No, we're are all okay, but who are you why did you help us?" Kai asked the guy in a confused tone.

"Oh! I apologize that I didn't introduce myself."

"I'm Lee."

"Lee Ouroboros, the next heir and prince of Ouroboros domain, I'm here to serve Kai Reid."
