7 Chapter 7: Time to return home

Callum smiled at his friends and family. "It's so good to see you all again. It's nice that everyone gathered."

"I see that everyone hasn't changed. So what is new? That both me and Ezran don't know yet?"

Everyone told the things that happened over the last month. Amaya and Gren were in Xadia helping the sunfire elves get back on their feet. Amaya also told us about her dates with Janai and that she met Janai's brother Kerim. Soren said he got a power of his own. The power called muscles. He told us about how he was training over the last month. Corvus and Opeli talked about how the recovery in Katolis was going. They also told that Barius was helping with supplying the familie's that lost their loved one's in the war with bread and that their is still a lot of work to do till Katolis fully recovers.

"Looks like their is much work that needs to be done. Ezran when we will return to Katolis we need to make up an plan so that we have enough food to recover and for the winter. Second their will be a lot of resentment towards Xadia and us, so we have to come up with something that this will be minimized. Lastly we must make our relationship with Xadia mutual, for example we provide them our baked goods and we get some Xadian fruits."

Everyone looked bewildered at Callum. Especially Amaya, Soren and Opeli. They read in their letters from Ezran that Callum seemed to have changed, but didn't think this change would be so much.

Amaya made hand gestures, while Gren said for her: "Callum you seem different. Is everything alright?" Soren, Corvus and Opeli didn't voice their concerns, but were very worried. "I'm fine my dear aunt. After everything that happened i thought a change was necessary."

Then Callum told them everything that happened, how Rayla left him, that in his sadness he almost got killed and that his mind was conscious while he was unconscious. Soren, Opeli, Amaya, Gren and Corvus looked at each other. "As long you're okay step prince." Corvus punched him in the side for saying that.

"I'm alright everyone. For now let's go. I've been here long enough. It's time to return home."
