1 The Dragon Girl

Once upon a time, in a land not so very far away, there lived a girl who found a dragon inside her refrigerator. At once, she knew the creature was rare and not from her land.

The dragon looked fierce but alluring, with light green horns and a bright pink body.

Unlike the myths known to her, the fridge dragon breathed ice-like mist that blanketed the girl, trapping her in its enchantment. An invisible force pulled her towards the dragon.

Fixed in a trance, the girl reached out one hand and touched the dragon's soft body while it stood there quietly, flaming in its colourful aura. The hypnotic gaze of the dragon made the girl want to go nearer. But even under the possession of such powerful force, the girl understood the dragon planned to capture and enslave her.

As mesmerised and intrigued as she was by the overpowering presence of this ancient creature, the girl confronted it. She slew the dragon and consumed its exotic spirit. The girl glowed with the dragon's soul inside her. Once a shy girl, she was now hailed as The Girl Who Ate the Dragon.

As the unusual story about the extraordinary girl spread, the dragons were terrified of their bleak chance of existence. With The Girl as their leader, men and witches started hunting down dragons one by one.

To maintain their legacy, the dragons promised humans never to shock them again by appearing in their fridge. Convinced by the dragons' word, The Girl agreed to a pact with the dragons.

With the help of powerful witches, she turned the dragons into fruits to live on, and people may live peacefully, without fear. Soon the dragon fruits, which came to be called Edible Dragons, became famous.

The same people who once feared the dragons and prayed for their extinction now sought to eat them and be merry. Humans loved the dragon fruits and everyone lived happily ever after.
