Chapter 1-Infiltration

"Gabriel Miller rank corporal branch DHTF reporting!" I saluted the man in front of me. The commander stood and walked around his desk. "So you're the miracle soldier from the Demi-Human Task Force huh?" "I wouldn't say miracle sir, I'm just another soldier." The commander smiled. "At ease, I just want to talk." I let my arm fall and folded them behind me. The commander walked to his desk and picked up a file.

"What I am about to tell you is of utmost importance, it is crucial that no one finds out anything about this conversation." I nodded. He opened the file and took out a paper with a person's picture paper clipped to it. He gave it to me. "Do you know who that is?" I nodded. The picture was of a silver haired red eyed girl a scar ran over her left eye, her name was Mila Weber but I knew her as the flaming death. She had earned that nickname due to the fact that she could turn into a dragon hybrid, she had never lost a battle.

"Sir why are you showing me this?" The commander leaned against his desk with a sigh. "I have an assassination mission for you corporal." "I'll collect my team." The president shook his head. "No corporal, this is a solo mission." I nodded. The president handed me another file. Its name was operation wolf amongst sheep. "I understand you can turn into a wolf hybrid?" I nodded. The president frowned. "Personally I didn't like the demi-human experiment, splicing animal and human DNA is inhuman in my mind but with the axis powers starting world war three with the soldiers that came from it we had to."

I nodded. I had been one of the soldiers used in the experiment I shuddered at the thought. The commander shook his head and smiled. "But that's not the purpose of this conversation." He indicated the folder. "Open it." I did so and started to read. When I was done I looked up in disbelief. The commander smirked. "How's your German corporal?" "A mission behind enemy lines sir?" He nodded. "But sir I'm not a spy, I can't even speak German!" He nodded. "I know but you're our best chance at taking Ms. Mila down."

I sighed. It was true, out of the demi human soldiers I was by far the strongest. I closed the file and handed it to him. "You will be transported by stealth jet and parachuted into enemy lines, after that you will enter the fort where Mila is and gain any information you can and send it back to us, we will pull you out as soon as we deem the mission complete any chance you find to assassinate Mila..." I nodded. He smiled. "And don't worry about the German you will have a gas mask with a translator in it, when you speak it will automatically translate it to German."

"When do I leave?" He walked to the doors of the small office and opened them. "Now." Four men rushed forward and stood around me. "Corporal please come with us." They led me to an Armory and a man inside handed me German fatigues. I wrinkled my nose and the man smiled. "Yeah they smell like shit." My enhanced sense of smell had told me that already. "Smells like dead men." The man laughed at my comment and handed me a gas mask and a M4A1. I shouldered it and the man laid several pistols in front of me. "Which one hits your fancy?" I looked at them then picked up the M1911. "Always was a fan of this one." The man nodded and handed me a buck knife. I raised an eyebrow as I put on the thigh sheath. "Just in case things get personal." I nodded in understanding.

"Alright kid looks like you're good to go." I nodded again and followed the men who had led me earlier through the house that worked as our headquarters. Once outside we entered a car and drove to an airstrip. A plane was already waiting. The men walked me to the plan and as I entered they patted me on the shoulder. I sat down and opened the file with my story in it. I had to learn it by heart. If my story seemed Fawlty the Germans would shoot me on sight and my mission would fail. I sighed and laid my head back against the wall of the plane. This was going to be a hard mission, if I didn't get killed midway through.
