As Sterling stood in the center of the room, the indistinct chanting of Grace to Faye reached his ears, her words leaving him puzzled.

"The tears of my ancestors shall you shed at the hands of your children. And in those accursed tears shall you drown. Unless, by a girl child of a Morgana Le Fay, you are redeemed."

Sterling was confused by the meaning of Grace's words.

He watched as a bright golden light filled Grace's hands. They held a glowing, esoteric ring of runes that rose above them, floating over the bed near Faye's body.

Grace placed her hands on Faye's cheek as the luminous ring silently twisted and whirled above them.
