201 BROKEN - PART 1

Fayes pained eyes gazed into Sterlings for a brief moment. She could pull the curtain of impassiveness all she wanted over her face, but her eyes never lied. They always held true to what she was feeling.

He observed as her sight drifted away from his stare, as if she was uncomfortable with him looking at her. She glanced up through the craters opening, watching the darkness of night fade away. The sky was clear, and it looked like it was going to be a gorgeous day, considering all the terror she had experienced last evening.

"What…Happened?"

Faye's question trailed off as she was having difficulty trying to communicate with Sterling. The topic of last night was still raw in her mind and hard to approach.

Sterling watched her as she withdrew further into herself and he contemplated if this was even the right time to discuss what had occurred, worried it would bring her delicate psyche crashing around her. He was at a loss for what to do.
