2 Battle Cry (1)

Waking up a week later, amidst from the detritus around my abode, takes a huge toll on my daily routine. Simple worried about my personal time being hinge, I fix my eyes on the scenery located at the ingress of my room. The beautiful forest cladded in sunlight, the gushing sound of wind, and the valley of Otis greets my pupils in bewilderment making every dragons, including myself, falls in awe.

The shiny silver scales starts to shred as I gently stood up in my half-drowsy state. Clamping my claws to the tips of my cave, moving closer, to set upon alongside the majestic outline from the world beyond; hoping that one day that I could venture it within my immortal life.

"Son, we need to talk" my father, the king, calls upon me. He's escorted with 2 eastern dragon (the snake-like appearance dragons) which, if it would be standing in an upright position, would reach up to 19 metres tall; Colouring their scales withopposing colours, red and blue, respectively. My dad, upholding his stature as the proud king, calls my name within my territory, which is pretty much unusual for this morning.

"What is it, dad?" I replied

I gave him an arrogant look, which stirred the emotions of his 2 guards at his side

"YOU DARE MOCK THE GREAT KING EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE HIS SON? HOW DARE YO…"

"ENOUGH" my father howled with might that made the two Dragons humbled; even the mountains of Otis trembled in shock as the vengeful spirit of the valley felt my dad's wrath.

"Sky, everyone awaits your presence. Meet me at the Stadium" cloaked in his kingly demeanours, I reluctantly nod; watching my father back as his handsome wings flaps around like a beast of its own, producing a miniature tornado right across his feet. His two escorts gave me a snort as they marched back to where the great stadium lies far beyond the dragon's territory.

I quickly followed suit behind my father's back, not too far to be left behind. The stadium is located at the far eastern of the dragon's hall, right across the divine oak tree. The coliseum is made from large enhanced stones that forms a circular formation inside to make it look like an arena of some sort.

Seats were wisely placed at the heights of the battleground. But what surprises me the most was my dad, the king, ask his son to come right in the middle of an arena where we could "talk" in a normal manner. Well, he didn't mentioned 'normal' but when I had first thought of 'conversing' with my father, did he meant 'battling' was a weird thing to do? Stupid father.

I gaze upon the spectators which comprises combinations of various dragon species compiled in a small make-shift chairs.

The royalty are located at the highest peak of the coliseum, in order for them to keep the audience at bay in all times.

I stood, on guard, preparing for what might had yet to come.

"Greetings, nephew! HAHAHAHA" he roared, bursting in laughter.

My uncle, grey, is a wyvern; highest of his species. He has dark wings imbued with a death crystal which came from a legendary necromancer that he had once fought. His aching teeth are gnawing of some kind of meat, making him ridiculously horrible as he glared towards me with his ruthful eye. His claws which he uses as feet are mutated with diamonds which earned him the title of a noble dragon befitting inside the royalties. Despite his awful temper, he had done great benefits for our realm that helped both of my parents under their reign.

He mows down his meat as he began to speak

"Kid, my grunts had seen you journeying outside of our outskirts, WITHIN THEIR TERRITORY. You know the punishment to those people who break the rules? Rules are rules that we, the dragons, must upheld!" with his outstanding vocal strength, the audience grandly cheered, excited for their personal entertainment

'I saw this coming' i thought.

My parents haven't told uncle the whole story but alas, I clearly forgotten the spies. The formidable spies which guard the rest of our territory, in case of some weird, dangerous entrapment that could harm our existence are scattered around the forest.

Why haven't I thought of that?

The feeling of regret came rushing through but despite these thoughts, what had happened has happened already. I'll prepare for everything that would be tossed before me.

I gritted my teeth to act out miserable in the audience eyes, but smirked behind my mouth.

This is an opportunity to leave this awful kingdom of mine

"THIS YOUNG LAD HERE BROKE THE ANCIENT RULE, WHICH, NO DRAGON SHALL STEP BEYOND HIS OR HER BOUNDARIES. This prince had stayed upon a site within the forest, sightseeing. YES, SIGHTSEEING, looking down to humans. As a prince, that is a marvellous feat for us dragons, BUT, over boundary to an individual's territory is a crime to us dragons."

Uncle grey flaps his wings towards the opposite side of the arena, standing tall with his remarkable wings. He's the strongest amongst wyverns. I guess dad must've thought he's an outstanding warrior, making him his right hand of the council

"I am far too generous as I treated this kid as my nephew of my own, NEVERTHELESS, shall I turn a blind eye through the problem he had caused. For his punishment, I want to see his battle prowess. Is everyone excited from the skills that this kid could obtain from his great parents, THE KING AND QUEEN"

With an uproar, shaking the whole vicinity, uncle grey turned his head towards my parents making a facial expression of consent

The king of dragons speaks up "I acknowledge your belief, GreyThoris, but what is his due punishment as we speak?"

Tired from all the commotion, he just let things happen as if to avoid a stir of chaos between the dragon men

"fear not King Archion. I wish to have a duel with your son"
