28 Want company?

Knock knock

Paige opened the door and saw two mesmerising eyes they look like little galaxies sparkling.

"Morning beautiful. Can I come in?".

Waking herself up from her trance she smiled and opened the door wider. Focus she thought.

"Sure".

"Thanks, so what're the plans for today?".

Paige went to the kitchen to make Jaxson a to-go cup of coffee and pack up his lunch. It felt similar to what a partner would do for their boyfriend or husband. Cupcake and Jaxson follow her in. Paige tried to keep her eyes away from Jaxson, he was so handsome in a suit. He really looks good in everything unfortunately she thought. She wondered when she started liking him this much.

"Emm I was thinking of a picnic we can walk to the park, fly a kite have our lunch and walk back. which reminds me I have packed a lunch for you and Axel too".

"Yum, thanks. Are you sure about walking that far? Charlie told me someone followed you yesterday?".

"We should be ok, I'm sure I was overthinking too".

"Ok, but if you need me.."

"I'll text".

"Yea...mmm want company? I can take the day off?".

"Nope, seven days remember".

"Damm and you'll ring or txt me at least send me a pic?".

"Yes now go to work even big CEO's shouldn't be late. Here's your lunch and coffee".

She gave Jaxson his coffee and lunch then pushed him out the door, she would have loved for him to come with them. But she promised herself that she would give herself some time to settle into my home and start something slowly with Jaxson. He seems like the opposite of Mark but she couldn't be too careful. Judge a man's actions, not his words.

Paige got cupcake ready and they head out, it's a half-hour walk but he doesn't seem to mind. We arrive and find a spot by the lake under a cherry blossom tree. We play with the kite, as the sun gets higher we then sit under the tree for shade and have our lunch.

"Pretty sister isn't that the guy from the supermarket yesterday?".

I look over and yes it's the same guy. He's sitting at the park bench looking over. I don't want to alert cupcake so I smile at him to reassure him that everything is okay.

"Think so, it's lunchtime so many people are out at this time. Let's walk back".

We pack up our picnic and she tried to seem ok about everything but she was a little scared. She held cupcakes hand and walked out of the park. She looked behind and he's up and walking towards them. Paige got out her phone and dialled Jaxson's number. No answer. We are walking for a bit and I see the mechanic sign. I walk over and see Dean.

"Hey Darlin. Sorry I haven't had a chance to phone you about your car".

I smile and nod then take a quick look back, he's still there. I smile at Dean.

"No rush we were just passing and I wanted to say hello. Oh also I made too much lunch pls take some".

She started grabbing the muffins from her picnic and handed them to Dean. Dean looks behind me then smiles at me.

"Thanks, why don't I repay you with a lift".

"Oh no no, it's okay really. That wasn't my intention. I was just passing".

"Oh come on its a bit warmer today so walking will be too much".

Paige got into Deans car with cupcake. He leans in through the window.

"One second Darlin". 

Paige then watched him grab a tire iron and walk over to the guy who's been following us. I can't hear the conversation. But the guy backs up and takes off. Dean gets in the car.

"Next time call me, I'll gladly get rid of anyone who dares to bother you".

"Thanks that's really sweet. But I'll be ok".

Dean drops us off and she thanked him again. He makes her promise to call him if she gets scared again and she promised she would and that she wasn't scared but he didn't believe her.

We go inside and cupcake hugs my thighs.

"I want to be strong enough to chase away the bad men".

"Hey cupcake now you're little but as you grow big you can chase away the bad people. For now how about you stay little so I can pick you up and cuddle you. How's that sound?".

"Ok, hug".

She cuddled him, he's adorable. He does make Paige feel differently about werewolves after being around him.

"How about I make some lemonade?".
