9 Move?

Paige woke up and rolled over to check her phone. She cant let cupcake see her like this but she also didn't want to let him down she had promised to go to the zoo today.

Paige phoned Axel and put on a husky voice and said that she was sick and hang up. Goddess the guilt kills me she thought and flopped back down on the bed. She stayed in her duvet cocoon for another while and then she heard a knocking on the front door.

"Nope I'm not getting up, one small warning is enough. I'm not leaving but how can I stay, I can't let that happen again." She whispered to herself.

Her phone buzzes, scaring her. She sees cupcakes selfie light up her phone. She sighs and picks up the call.

"Hey cupcake I'm so sorry I'm not well enough to bring you to the zoo can we do it another day?." She asked.

"Pretty sister I have chicken noodle soup please open up." His small voice melted her heart, he's very considerate.

"What if I get you a sick cupcake, nope it's no good, it'll be ok just give me a few days." She hopes to say that would work.

Paige hated to be a bit mean and lie but she never wanted him to see her hurt like this.

"Ok, pretty sister gets better quickly I miss you." He sounded upset

Damm, he is too adorable she thought

"Sorry for today just give me a few days and I'm all yours again," Paige replied.

We say goodbye and Paige started to cry again. It was not like her at all and she was not feeling sorry for herself. She just hadn't had someone care about her like that in a long time. She has her nanny but the less she knows the better Paige thought. Paige then curled up again and stayed buried under the blankets.

A few hours later there's another knock. Paige's phone lights up and it's Jaxson this time. She just let it ring and hang up, ring and hang up. Then she saw a text.

(Let me in please I just wanna see you looked after)

Ok, fine she thought, the barrage of texts make her give in. She supposed that it would be ok if he sees a few bruises and a cut lip he's not gonna be scared like cupcake would. She put on a hoodie and some leggings. She then put the hood up and goes to the door and opened it, covering as much of her face as possible.

"Hey, so you have seen me, time to go home." She says as she looks down at the floor.

But he pushes the door further open and walks in.

"Just two minutes, I'll heat the soup and go if you want". He turns around and she just closed the door with her head down and sat on the sofa.

"I got you chicken and vegetable broth, it'll help you get you back on your feet". He helps himself around the kitchen and before Paige knew it he had the soup spoon in front of her. He doesn't want to feed me does he she thought

"Come on a few bites". Jaxson smiled.

"I'll get you sick". Paige kept her head lowered.

"I have an amazing immune system, come on I have all night". Jaxson wouldn't give in.

Paige rolled her eyes and takes a drink off the spoon. It's tasty and the first she's eaten all day. She remembered the last time she was fed soup when she was sick wad when she was eight and her mother did it.

"This is getting awkward, pull your hood down." Jaxson then tugs her hood off.

"What the fuck happened to you?".

He softly cradles her face and looks sad and worried. Why though he barely knows me Paige thought.

"I don't know I was just going to my car and got jumped they told me to leave and this was a small warning." Paige pointed at her face.

"Don't worry this won't happen again, grab your stuff. You are moving in with me and Axel and from now on if anyone asks your girlfriend it'll be for your protection. And I'll find out exactly who did this don't worry".

"Move? Girlfriend? no-no-no. I'm totally fine this is nothing." Paige refused straight away.

"This is nothing.... yeah ok what happens next time, sorry you have no choice".

Jaxson is in her bedroom before Paige could speak again and started to throw her stuff in a bag.

"Whatever I have missed we can come back for or I'll replace it, come on home time." Jaxson held her bag and grabbed her hand heading for the door.

Paige was speechless and was being ushered out of her own house and into his car. They drive in silence, half an hour later they are at Axel's.

"But cupcake?." Paige spoke first.

"He's asleep we can tell him a cover story tomorrow, come …welcome home". He holds my hand and brings her towards Axel's front door.

Axels at the door and welcomes us in.

"Your room is beside Jaxson's and opposite Charlie's, welcome to the family." Paige is overwhelmed and smiles.

"Just till it's sorted thank you both."

"No thanks needed, like I said, family." Axel calmly said and shows her to the stairs.
