1 How it all Began

The splashing sounds of waves fill the ears of a lone woman staring at the horizon. She caresses her slightly swollen belly while humming a happy song. She smiled at the perfect day and her perfect place when suddenly arms snaked around her waist and hugged her.

"What is making my wife stare at the space? Are you thinking about the baby? Or could it possibly be me?" he playfully kissed her neck causing her to giggle at every touch it gave her.

She turned around and smirked at him.

"Could people be any more be a narcissistic as you? I was just thinking how lucky I am to finally have the thing I want the most.." she said while carressing the hands that is still holding her.

"Of course we'll always be with you, my family, wife and my queen" then he gave her a peck "My Ruyi..."

"Haa...haa...haa...Please save... us" Ruyi was hazy as she crawled out of their overturned and burning car. She was bleeding profusely from head to toe.

She remembered they were supposed to go to her engagement party when suddenly an explosion happened and their car flew to the middle of the street.

She saw her father, mother and younger brother unmoving and at the brink of death. She also saw several people around them hurt. She immediately tried to pry open the doors to let them out while shouting for help.

"PLEASE!!!! Help us!!!" Many people were busy calling help, the ambulance or even their unconcious companions.

She was having a hard time breathing, she was getting more and morevtired every passing second. Her eyesight was almost black when she finally heard the sound of an ambulance.

At H Hospital...

Her eyes fluttered and close shut at the sight of bright light. She wondered where she is or how she got there.

"Oh my... Doctor! She's awake!!!" a middle aged man around the age or her father yelled. "Are you okay, Ruyi?" He looked very scared and relieved.

"A..*cough* ...ter....wa...ter...."She tried speaking but her throat was burning and dry.

The doctor and several nurses arrived and looked at her, checking every part of her injuries. He sighed in relief knowing that the girl survived and is recovering well.

"Good afternoon young miss Chen, how do you feel?" the doctor asked.

"wa...ter..." Ruyi tried speaking but she was too tired to do so.

"Please give her water and make her rest first" The doctor ordered and the nurses complied.

Feeling quenched of her thirst and tired, Ruyi once again fell into slumber.

"Thank the lord for not taking you away Ruyi..." the man held her hands in tears. "Forgive me...."
