1 Awakening his path

The second world war

------------------

A forest somewhere in Germany

-----------------

The booming of gunshots resounded across the desolate forest, filling it with killing intent and the smell of blood.

The two parties have been battling since dawn, and dusk was coming, the setting sun created a dramatic atmosphere in the outpost of the soldiers that had set their camp deep into enemy territory. Their missions was to infiltrate the command centre of the germans secretly, but due to being spotted by German forces, they were surrounded in the middle of the forest from all sides. Every minute there would be another casualty in the base surrounded tightly by the opposing force.

Luke held onto his rifle, hands trembling in fear. He had just witnessed his closest comrade die in front of his eye, just a minute ago he was laughing at a joke he made during the tense situation before a red hole appeared on his forehead, splattering white and red bits onto Luke's unused rifle. The man in front of Luke had then fallen silently on the bloodstained floor, the laugh still on his face. This terrified Luke beyond measure, causing him to unintentionally severe his will to live.

At that very moment, his mind turned as clear as water, he felt no fear, his mind was in a tranquil state. Accepting death, he loaded his rifle and took a deep breath and closed his eyes before aiming, he seemed to be able to sense everything around him clearly, every bullet flying past, every drop of blood splattering seemed to happen in slow motion. As he aimed, he seemed to be in full control of the lives of every being within three hundred metres. He shot at a German soldier fluidly, pulling the trigger without the slightest hesitation, creating a gaping hole in his head.

At this very moment, the heavens smiled upon Luke's enlightened state of mind, sending forth a gift into the depths of Luke's soul. Following this, massive clouds appeared in the dark sky, creating deafening booms and releasing divine lightning that fabricated fear in the hearts of all beings present.

Oblivious to the "gift" he was given, he suddenly felt that he didn't need a helmet anymore, he threw away the helmet on his head, letting loose; strands of silky, sweat-drenched hair. Time seemed to have completely stopped. The leaves falling seemed to have froze in the air, he looked around to find his comrades frozen in place, all in shooting positions, some already shooting, he could see the bullet coming out accompanied by the sparks at the end of the gun, all frozen in place. This magnificent sight did not shock him, he seemed to be merged with whatever was happening around him, jumping out of the trench, he pulled out his silver dagger. He slowly walked in the direction of his enemies. Even though time seemed to have stopped, his enemies could watch him approach slowly, hair flying in the wind, trench coat flailing, walking with a dagger in hand while lightning struck dangerously close to him. The Germans couldn't move, they could only expressionlessly watch the soldier fearlessly slit the throats of all the Germans one by one. The sight of Luke was like a renowned god of death sent by heaven, he carried a majestic disposition recognised by the heavens as he slaughtered every last German soldier standing.

The lightning storm finally stopped. But out of nowhere, a massive red bolt of lightning struck Luke from the clouds.

He felt his mind and body being torn into oblivion and his only wish was to have this agony end quickly.

Little did he know that the heavens had better plans for him than to live and die in a low-level dimension like earth.
