10 Not that bad of an experience

It was finally our summer break and I wanted to be a bit lazy so I woke up later than usual. It had its consequences too. The thing was at 7:30 am, Asuka woke up and was hungry. She entered my room and jumped on me. My stomach to be more specific. I fell down cowering in pain as she used all her body weight on the poor stomach of mine. Argh, it hurts a lot. She also learnt martial arts from grandpa like me so she knew how to wake me up in just one hit.

"Wake up oni-chan! I am hungry," she said.

"If you are hungry make something for yourself. Why did you wake me up?"

"Because your breakfast tastes way better than mine. I just started cooking a little while ago and I cannot make something good. That is why I go to the convenience store to have my breakfast."

"That explains that belly of yours."

"Hey."

I woke up and found Gon still sleeping on the floor. Asuka kicked him lightly on his head and woke him up. I am still amazed she can see him and even touch him on top of that. That was something only I could do. I went to the bathroom and freshened up. Having done with that I went to the kitchen and was ready to cook something good. As I wore my apron, the bell rang. Why did she come now?

The door opened revealing the black hair, black eyed girl who lives next door. She had a big smile on her face for some reason. Asuka invited her in as she saw me with an apron on. This was gift from Asuka which she bought me the other day. I could not refuse her gift so there I was. A sixteen year old wearing an apron with teddy bears printed on it. Seeing me in that she let out a small laugh.

"Itsuki, I did not know you like teddy bears," said Ine.

"What did you come here for today?" I asked her. She has been dropping by our house every single day since the time I revealed the past about my grandparents. Still remembering them really aches my heart. They were the people I could never live without but still here I am. When they got caught in that accident, I shut myself for two weeks without eating or drinking anything. I should have been dead due to lack of water in my body but I was able to survive somehow. When Asuka found me lying on the floor with my eyes which have no tears left to flow, she panicked for a moment and then called the hospital. I got admitted there for four days. After all that I had done, I was sad that I was the only one who was alive while everything around me just crumbled into pieces in mere two days.

My parents were not able to attend my grandparent's funeral because the flights were not available from their current location. They came back one week after that. I still did not have any energy to use or move around. Each day Asuka would come to my room and feed me like a little kid. That was the day that all colors left my face. That was the day I realized how harsh staying close to people was. That was the day I confined myself in a little box allowing only my family to enter.

One of the people who brought me out of that box was standing in front of me with a big smile. Just how much can she smile in a day? Even I could not do that. I was broken from my train of thought when she put something hot on my hand. I retracted my hand seeing her holding something in her hands.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Breakfast for you and Asuka-chan."

So I have been saved from the work. She made something really interesting. Honestly I have never seen this dish in my entire life but it tasted good. When I asked her about the dish she said even she did not know what it is called. Her mother used to make it for her and she made it today after a long time so she wanted to share this with us. Also, for some reason, she was having breakfast with us.

"Why are you having breakfast with us?" I asked her.

"Because I wanted to."

So I have no say in this? Just how do I put up with this girl? It really surprises me that just some words from her mouth made me go against my moto and also because of her I became friends with Yui again. She was happily chatting to Asuka and they were grinning and giggling from time to time. It was a bit annoying since I was the topic of discussion but Asuka was having fun so I can forgive them this time. After having breakfast, I checked the time and it was 9:00 AM. We really took sweet time, didn't we? Over these past days of our summer break, Ine and Asuka have grown really close to each other. It was a relief that she does not have to always stick with me because she did not have anyone else to talk to. Seeing her so happy brought a small smile on my face as they were talking.

Asuka noticed it and smiled back. She was then dragged by Ine to her house saying that she wanted to talk about something to her in private. I have no idea what they are going to talk about and I most probably do not care because Asuka will just come back and tell me everything anyway. She once came back and told me that she was talking about their type in boys and for some reason, they had similar interests in boy. She did not tell me what that interest was though. I think that was something I was not supposed to ask her even as her big brother.

Feeling bored I went to the piano room and started playing Chopin's well-known piece, waterfall. It was a really soothing pieces to listen to as it felt like sitting next to an actual water fall while playing this. Gon was sitting on the piano and I did not mind because he had no body weight. If he did, I would not have taken long to kick him off the piano. He could have damaged the wood. After a little longer, I played some more pieces of Mozart, Beethoven and Bach. They are some really well-known composure and for a good reason.

I checked the time and it was 10:30 AM now. I did not have much to do so I decided to take a trip to the book store to get the next four volumes of the light novel which I was reading. On my way back I felt a presence behind me but I knew what she would do so I did not turn around. I stopped on my tracks as two small hands were covering my eyes from behind.

"G-"

"Yui, what are you doing here," I said before she could say anything. She was the only person who would do something like this. She used to be like this all the time when I was in first year.

I turned around seeing her face which had a pout on it. She had tied her brown hair up in a ponytail for some reason.

"You should at least let me complete," she said.

"But I knew it was you and I did not want to waste time."

"But still. It is the norm."

"How is it the norm? It's not written anywhere in any book?"

"I am only telling you to let a girl complete what she needs to say before saying anything," she said while moving her hand up and down from the side. She puffed her cheeks and looked away.

Seeing that, I walked away quickly before she does anything but I kind of forgot that she was quick on her feet. She tackled me almost making me lose my balance. I looked at her again and she had a big grin on her face. My hand slowly moved close to her head and as it did, she closed her eyes. Then I hit her forehead with my index finger.

She held her forehead with a pained expression on her face.

"What was that for?"

"For being such a pain."

"If I am that painful to deal with then just don't talk to me."

"That is why I walked away."

"Hey."

With a little more of listening to her complaints on how cruelly I treat a girl, she bid farewell telling to be ready. Ready for what? I went back to my house and saw Asuka coming out of Ine's house and Ine was having a bag in her hand. Seeing me, Asuka ran up to me pulled me by my arm in the house. I still had no idea what going on so I think I need to use my special skill: deduction.

Yui said that I need to be ready for something and Ine is standing out the house with a bag in her hand. It meant that we were going somewhere and Asuka was really excited for it so she was dragging me here. Now, the thing is where we were going. If I have to think, it is summer vacations and we can go for a picnic but I doubt that Asuka would be that excited to go for a picnic as she hates sweating. So, there is only one place we could go, the beach. We had a beach in this town and many people did go there. I never went there as I did not have anyone to go with and I did not want to.

I went to my room and got the things ready. Asuka loved the beaches and I also did not hate it. I got the things in my bag and got ready. Asuka came out of her room with her bag and a hat. She saw me ready and smiled,

"So you found out oni-chan?" she asked.

"What does it look like?"

"You did so then let's go to the beach!!" she said while holding her hands up in a victory position. I got the Key and saw Gon with a sad expression on his face.

"I wanted to go to the beach too Itsu," he said.

"Yeah, take care of the house."

With that I closed the door before Gon could say another word. Ine was ready to go and we started walking. After five minutes, we met up with Sakura, Yui and Fumihiro. He had an irritated expression on his face seeing me and had his hands crossed.

"What is he doing here?" he said.

"I invited him too," said Ine with a smile on her face. Seriously, how much can you smile?

So it looks like me being invited was not told to Fumihiro. Either that or I was invited at the end which I doubt knowing Ine. Fumihiro was not at all happy seeing me he whispered in my ear.

"Just so you know, I hate you," he said.

"Don't worry I don't care."

He had an annoyed expression on his face as he started walking faster to the front and was talking to Ine. Sakura was walking with them and I was with Yui and Asuka on my either sides. Asuka was humming some song while skipping again and again on her way. She really loves beaches, doesn't she? Yui for some reason kept elbowing me again and again the entire time but I decided to ignore that. She pinched me once on my hand and I ignored that. She finally spoke up,

"Why are you ignoring me?"

"I am not ignoring you."

"Then why did you not say anything when I was elbowing you and pinching you."

"I thought you were just playing and I let you do that. This I what I get for my kindness. You really are rude Yui."

"Looks whose talking."

"So, what did you want to talk about?"

"I wanted to ask, have you been to a beach before?"

That was it? Only for asking that she was pinching me? What is wrong with this girl and why did she not speak that in the first place if she wanted to?

"You really are dumb Yui."

"Hey, you know that my thought do not go with the way I act. I am not dumb," she said while puffing her cheeks and crossing her arms. Not paying attention what was going on around her, she was about to run into a moving car. I quickly grabbed her shoulder and pulled her closer to me as the car just missed her by few inches. The driver hit the break and a loud screeching sound was heard. I looked back seeing the driver with an angry look on his face.

"Hey kid, watch where you are going," he shouted.

Yui who still could not process what just happened was still dazed and was not able to say anything. Asuka went to the driver and bowed down apologizing in her place. The driver's expression relaxed as he went back on his own way. The dazed Yui still could not say anything and was hugging me. Ine and the others were a bit in front of us so they did not realize what had happened. Ine looked behind to see where we were and her eyes fell on me and Yui who was still hugging me. I slowly patted her head saying,

"It's okay, you are safe Yui."

The dazed Yui was back to her senses as she looked up to me and I saw tears in her eyes. Did she cry? I continued petting her to let her calm down. By the time Ine and the others were walking towards us and Fumihiro shouted,

"Hey, what happened here?"

"Nothing much. Except for someone who was not looking where she was going and was almost hit by a car. It would a trouble carrying her to the hospital like that."

"Hey, I am not that heavy!" said Yui as she got back to her senses. A little teasing and she is back to normal. Some of her habits have not changed at all.

All of them gathered around Yui asking if she was okay. Sakura had tears in her eyes as she hugged Yui and Fumihiro was just standing there. Asuka came beside me and stood there. Her expression was not pleasant.

"What happened?"

"That driver had a weird smile on his face when he was talking to me. It was creeping me out. Honestly, I wanted to punch him in the face."

"I would have probably punched him before you would have moved if Yui was not clinging on to me."

"I saw that. You looked like a hero oni-chan. Not that you were not before."

"I was a hero before?"

"Yes. My oni-chan was my hero," she said while hugging me. I smiled and patted her head as she made a little purr sound. When did my sister turn into a cat? I do not remember my parents being a cat or them giving birth to a cat. Though it looked cute I couldn't help but wonder.

We then continued walking to our destination and Yui was really tired. She had her shoulders slouched down and was looking like a walking corpse. Her brown hair were falling on her face and she was drinking water every other minute. She was not athletic at all and had very less stamina. She was about to fall over but I grabbed her by her shoulder.

"You should rest for a minute or you may fall," I told her.

"But the beach is just ahead of us. It's like only two minutes away. I cannot wait Itsuki."

"If you keep on doing this then I am sure that you are going to be resting while we will be enjoying ourselves in the ocean. Wait, that doesn't sound that bad."

"It does. Okay, then pick me up."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because I don't want to waste any more energy."

How does that even make sense? Just sit down for a minute. People when they are tired cannot think straight at all. This is normally due to the lack of oxygen or water in their body or in this case, the brain is overheated. I took Asuka's hat and placed it over Yui's head. Asuka was not happy about it as it was her hat but I requested her and she said that I owe her now. I don't know how it came to this, but okay.

We finally somehow got to the beach with Yui who did not have enough energy to walk but enough to jump and sit on my back. Even though I said that she changed. Her personality is still the same. She is really clingy sometimes. We reached the beach and Yui still did not want to get off my back. I let go of her legs but she wrapped them around my waist and was hugging me like a koala hugs a tree. On a side note, koalas are really cute and this scene also looked cute if I were not the one she was clinging too.

Ine and the others were laughing at us while Asuka was trying to get Yui off my back. Hey, I know that you guys are enjoying seeing me like this but can I get little help please? I can get her off but that would also end up hurting her which I did not want to do. It would be really troublesome. Somehow, Asuka along with Ine because she asked her with puppy dog eyes which no one can resist got Yui off my back. They fell on the sand and Yui was on top of them. I walked away to change.

Later Fumihiro also joined me and was changing. Wanting to flex or something, he was showing his bare chest and he was really fit, I can say that. As expected of the capital of our soccer team. I put a shirt on and walked out. I did not enjoy showing my bare body so it is kind of a habit for me. The entire time on the beach, the only time I take off my shirt is when I am forced to swim.

I came back seeing a spectacle which will make most of the boys nose bleed and die due to loss of blood. All the girls were in their swim suits and I have to say, they looked really good in it.

"Oni-chan, how do I look?" asked Asuka.

"You already know the answer, don't you?"

"But I want to hear it from you."

"Can't help it then. You are looking very cute Asuka."

She jumped as I complimented her. Sisters are really strange creature. I said the same things to the rest of the girls and so did Fumihiro. Looking at me, Ine asked,

"Hey Itsuki, why do you have that shirt on?"

"Because I don't like showing my body too much."

"I am pretty sure the real reason is that you are a wimp," said Fumihiro as he flexed his muscles.

"I don't think so. I do remember he was really strong and he normally runs for 10 km every morning," said Ine.

"Ine-chan, you know that much about Itsuki?" said Yui in a teasing tone.

"Eeeeeeeeeeh? It's just that I went on a jog with him once and I could not keep up to him."

"Enough of that, let's enjoy," shouted Asuka.

We first decided to play beach volleyball. On my side was Asuka and Ine. The reason being that Asuka wanted to be on my team no matter what and Ine wanted to be in my and Asuka's team no matter what. As our team was strong, we let them take the first serve. Fumihiro threw the ball in the air and jumped and hit it. It was a solid hit but it landed where Asuka was and she easily tapped it to the left where I was. I jumped high in the air and smashed the ball to the other side. We still got it. I and Asuka have been playing beach volleyball whenever we went to the beach and our coordination was on point. Thanks to all the 256 matches she made me play. I am surprised that I played all those matches.

The game went smoothly with us destroying the opponents. They all were grasping for their breath but our side did not even break a sweat. I say that but I was sweating because if the heat and I was wearing a shirt on top of that. It was really uncomfortable so I finally decided to take it off. As I did, all eyes were fixed on me and when I say all, I meant all. Even the people who passed by were staring at me and a group of girls were staring at me the whole time from a distance. This is the reason why I don't take my shirt off.

"See, I told you Itsuki was not a wimp, though I did not expect him to be this fit," said Ine.

"You are right," said Yui as she was touching me all over. When did you get here? The match is still going on. Fumihiro tch'ed and when I was finally able to get Yui away from me, we continue playing the match. We won without any problem and Yui was back to touching me all over. Finally Asuka came to my rescue and stopped her. My little sister is really the best.

After that, we went for swimming and played in the ocean. We honestly had a really good time. After four hours of playing and eat, we head back to our houses. When I opened the door, what greeted me was the sad face of Gon as he looked really bored. I ignored him and made dinner. He came at the table and sat down with us.

"So what did you all do?" he asked.

"Played, swam, ate and had fun," I replied.

"Itsu, tell me in detail. I cannot understand that. Also was Ine-chan with you all?"

"Ine-san was with us and we had a lot of fun," said Asuka as she went on explaining what all happened today and as she did, he became gloomier and gloomier. Again, Gon. I will not be stealing your Ine away from you. You can go for her if you want to. I won't interfere.

With that, Asuka was very sleepy and said she is going to be sleeping with me. My bed was big enough to fit two people so I did not mind. I went to sleep with Asuka and thought. I really did have fun today. It's been a long time since I felt like this. It was not that bad. Not bad at all.

Conclusion- Yui is now obsessed with my body. Yare yare.
