1 I'm A God

Solace woke up as his eyes were still blurry. He remembered sleeping in his lab after working 24/7 for the release of his revolutionary invention but when his sighted cleared of unease, he realized he was not in his lab anymore.

He seemed like he was floating, surrounded by stars and planets. Space dust that roams about the voided space.

"What... is this place?"

He muttered, confused. He thought he died of overwork as he worked for his invention day and night.

It was when he noticed a bright light in front of him. Although close, it felt really far away. A light that does not hurt the eyes, a light that gives you a feel of comfort.

"Father... Huh? Why did I suddenly blurt that out?"

Sol didn't know why he knew of that name... the light's name. It was like the light was already imprinted in his mind like it was the meaning of life itself.

That was when he noticed, there were other people like him, people who were staring directly at the light. People appeared one after the other, female and male, cloaked in purple-colored space dust. There were people with beards and there were people that looked like an elementary student.

"Are they... the same as me?"

Sol was more confused about the situation. Who are these people? Who is that light? Where am I? What is this place?

That's when it happened. A headache rushed through his head as the explanation through everything flooded his brain.

"I see... haha... this is impossible... this isn't scientifically possible!"

Sol's mind was flooded with the information he can't comprehend. Something that is not capable to understand with his human mind.

All of the knowledge of the universe — The meaning of life, the meaning of salvation, the meaning of emotions, the meaning of atoms. Everything was explained like a drop of water, in an instant. He knew.

"The meaning of life... is The Father."

Sol muttered as his eyesight blurred and turned static and as the instant, it disappeared, he was no longer in that place.

He was standing in a forest. Trees were lush as the leaves danced with the breezing wind. The grass was cold under her feet as he heard of a water rushing and smashing towards the ground.

He was in disarray, he was too confused about this. In an instant, he was no longer human — he was now a God. He was just standing with Gods that he never knew of, and an entity that was higher than that of a God.

"The Father... who is he? I know he is the meaning of all, but with all the information on my brain, none of it explained what he was."

Sol was a scientist, and every mystery has an explanation and in an instant, he knew of every explanation humanity has asked for a thousand years. In an instant, no more than a second, he knew why he was there.

The purpose of being born as a God.

Is to create civilization from scratch.

The God Contest — A competition made by The Father to all of the gods he created in an instant. They were gathered in the simple goal to create civilization and whoever wins becomes the god titled "Messiah".

There are no time limits, the only requirements are the survival of its civilization. Meaning, the last civilization standing in the peak of the greatest species wins. Also meaning, this was a death game in the very beginning.

There will be wars on neighboring species, there will be civilizations going extinct. There will be a bloodbath in every interaction. Like a chicken fight, isn't this too inhumane?

Treating living beings like chess pieces. As a human, Sol felt disgusted.

But there was no backing out now. To whoever loses their civilization, The Father will disintegrate that God out of existence.

"If I back out now, I'll die in vain. My first mission given by The Father is..."

Mission: The Beginning of Civilization!

Creature your first species, both female and male! In your image, they will be created!

Tip: Open your Species Tab.

————

A blue screen appeared in front of him. Of course, he knew about this, as this is one of every God's power. The most powerful skill you can bestow to a living being — Game Mechanics.

Sol was still new to this and with all this information on his head, he still can't comprehend all of it in just a second, but he just knew about this thing called Game Mechanics. Isn't that stupid?

"Well... considering every novel that has game mechanics. I could say it was too overpowered. So touche?"

Sol muttered as he opened his Species Tab like he was on a game. He didn't do anything but when he thinks about opening the tab, it just happens.

It was a blue screen, rectangular in shape, a full-body replica of God's Image — both male and female. This species that appeared before him looked like humans, it was just like him.

"So God's Image wasn't an understatement, huh?"

Sol muttered as he realized there were digits and names at the side of the screen. They were what we call in Game Mechanics — Status!

"This is too game-like!"

Species: Unnamed

Status:

Strength: 1

Agility: 1

Intelligence: 1

Magic: 1

Status Points: 20

"Like I said, this is too game-like! My, I'm too old for this..."

Sol touched his chest and muttered as he remembered that he was in his fifties already so he needed to be aware of being too excited or he'll get a heart attack, yet, he still has a habit of reading novels and playing games like when he was a kid. That habit stayed to him until he actually died.

"Now that I noticed... ain't I too active at such an old age?"

Sol muttered as he realized the wrinkles in his arm disappeared. He ran towards the river where the water was crashing and looked at the reflection.

The image of his mid-twenties reflected back at him. Although he was quite thin for a God, he was average for a human being. He calmed down as he came back to the first subject of the day — Create intelligent life.

"The first thing to do is to fill them up with status points."

Sol muttered as he added stats that was accurate for survival... for now, that is.

Species: Unnamed

Status:

Strength: 4

Agility: 5

Intelligence: 9

Luck: 5

Magic: 2

Status Points: 0

"Since Humanity needed to be smart, intelligence takes the cake. Next is agility, since they are bipedal, and Luck since it's a miracle they weren't the ones that went extinct when there were other Sapiens other than Homos. Strength was small since they depended on weapons. Last is magic... since I still have no idea of their use."

"I wanna create humanity! In my image! and I will name them Humans!"

Sol muttered with intense geekiness as the status points plummeted to zero. The Species Tab disappeared as another once came out.

————

Species Creation is ready!

————

"Create!"

Sol remembered every step that needed to be done, as every knowledge was already on his mind. To finish the first take, all he has to do is to shout "create" with an unnecessary pose, since he can finally release his geekiness without the eyes of the crowd looking directly at his soul.

Suddenly, the clouds turned dark and thunder suddenly roared. The wind got stronger as it gathered in a single spot like a tornado about to form, but it wasn't a tornado.

Dust came out from the ground as it slowly formed that into two feet, and the feet continued to grow to form a leg, to a waist, to an arm, and lastly two head.

Two humans — both male and female. Both in their twenties. Both similarly looking like Sol. They looked like they were Sol's son and daughter.

"They took the 'God's Image' too literally!"

Sol can't take it anymore. He can't comprehend the common sense that the Gods have. He was once a human, damn it! A human!

"Uhmm, are you okay?"

"Huh?"

Sol's eyes widened as he jumped to notice that the woman called to him. Two beautiful humans, even the male looks like a popstar!

The woman had overflowing black hair and brown eyes. A natural V-shaped face and a natural hour-glass figure. A breast completely showing out since they have no clothes...

"No... clothes? Aahhhhh!!!"

Sol jumped out of shock as he just realized the humans were naked. Those big breasts and wide thighs, oh no! This is too much for a fifty-year-old virgin like him! He also looked at the male, who's expression was concerned, as he slowly lowers his sight below...

ELEPHANT!!!

"Blasphemy! Why are yours bigger than mine!"

Sol suddenly got depressed as he sat in the corner of a tree. The two humans were all oblivious of what's happening, as they have no common sense whatsoever, and in turn, no manners.
