Entry #13 (end of first volume)

When we got back to the base me and Lexa gave the girls a choice (after a lot of debate, it took us 2 days to reach a decision) . We can give them a job, a roof over their heads, or we can give them a weapon, some food and a drop-off at the settlement. Needlessly they all decided to stay for the time being.

Stephanie will do the manual work with me, Casey, Lizabeth, Lesly, and Alice will be coordinators and run the base when I am out doing something (I may not have their full loyalty, but this is all I call do for the right now.)

Samantha who is actually a competent chef will be in charge off the food. Lexa as of this time is the one in charge off defense and will go set up turrets that Alice made with the scrap from the outside (she is f***ing amazing when it comes to technology)

We've had a few scrimmages with the people that come by and seeing so many beauties they go crazy, we've taught them all a lesson. No kills to the dismay of Lexa.

Lexa told me something I really hope is not true, that she got from the few people we got in trouble with. Apparently the settlement we visited was destroyed by a beast of nightmares. They said it looked like a 'Deathclaw' from a game called 'Fallout' (whatever that is) they said it looked like a lizard that is 2 stories in height, stronger than 30 men and rips people apart as if they where tofu.

Seriously a terrifying thought.

'We need to get stronger!'

Lexa also found out there is a science lab not that far away from here testing on what's left of the animals trying to genetically make them stronger. After hearing this I really wanted to try this and hopefully get stronger.

They have serums for strength, speed, reaction speed, etc. They welcome anyone to try the serum for free on the pretense you survive the mutation. It's morbid but makes sense they get free test subjects and if you live have a massive boost in survivability rate, as of this time only 4 people have survived the mutation.

The only things is no one has their name or location because after surviving they up and vanished

(a little fishy for my taste).

I may head over there in the future but I need to let things calm down around for for now. I just took some people from slave owners I'm sure we took care off all witnesses, but we can never be to careful when it comes to our lives.

Well anyway now everyone has a role in the base we hope to expand get more people and more territory (I know we just started and I'm to ambitious right now, but i can't help it I want to survive).

Anyway that's it for this entry I hear Lexa calling me asking to go to bed ( yes she still sleeps in my bed I've tried everything I could to get her to leave but she won't budge.)
