1 Chapter 2: Halloween Dance

Dear Diary,

Every year our school put a on a school dance where you can dress up in your costume and go to it. Knowing me I normally wear something not-spooky to the dance but this year I wore something totally different because of a dare from my friend. I ended up having to dress up as a character from a horror book ( because I am a nerd) and I decided to be a witch from my most recent book series that I have finished. So I got my costume ready and did my makeup to go to the dance.

once I got there I noticed not many of my friends showed up. only my friends Brea and Skyler where at the entrance. Brea told me that my crush was inside of the gym helping set up for the dance. my friends weren't allowed in because they weren't in leadership. I, however, am in leadership and am required to help decorate or set up the dance. So I was sent in alone.

after I was done decorating we let the students in and all you could hear for a little bit was the oohs and aahs of them admiring the dance decorations. when I turned around I noticed that my crush was eyeing the food table. well I guess that is to be expected if you are a skeleton ( that's what he was dressed up as).

So at the first slow dance, Skyler thought it would be a good idea to suddenly burst out the fact that I have a crush RIGHT NEXT TO MY CRUSH!!! I was like ssshhhhhh!!!!! but it was too late. he turned around and asked if he could have this dance and I froze. not so lucky for me my friend interested and said I would love to. but the song just ended so I was able to escape the dance.

The dance ended all to soon. Best thing I knew I was leaving the gym and going home. I enjoyed the night and it was good while it lasted. anyways good night Diary!!!
