149 149. Game from the Bench (II)

The match started with their batting. Rei sat in the dugout with Suzaku and Akira beside him, observing the match. Rei's focus for the match was on Suzuki's catching. They were batting first and Chino went up to the plate. Using his experience in the previous match, he was able to easily get on a base. With him on the base, it added extra pressure to the opponent. 

But it did not stop the pitcher from getting 2 continuous strikes. Chino did not find a chance to move up and was stuck there. The next batter was Shiro. Shiro was able to connect the first ball, sending it to the outfield. 

But they only got a single out of it. Then it was Tanaka's turn in the box. Leaving two balls for called strikes, he struck the last ball and got a clean gap between the shortstop and the third baseman for another single.
