In my past life, during my moments of solitude, I was secretly a monster/Kaiju nerd.
Anything Kaiju and I am in, NSFW Slattern X Goji, er, no, that wasn't part of the package… eew.
Hehe, while "Gangnism" or "Jin Woo Supremacy" were being hyped, I was all for non-human, evolution, sci-fi kind of genre…
I liked going into forums to follow up on anything of interest related to Kaijus and the MonsterVerse.
Then we had this gem of a Manga revolving around Kaijus that I had bookmarked called "Kaiju No.8" that I never got to start reading before the world… ended.
It was truly a pity.
Well, the Pacific Rim Universe was bigger and more mysterious compared to Rampage Universe. Humans of Pacific Rim were literally forced to build giant mechas to take on extraterrestrial life forms from an alien dimension.
It was cool but they just had to let teenagers pilot the damn Jaegers in the second movie. Wait… is there a problem with teenagers? That's food for thought.
When I was presented with a new opportunity for another adventure in another universe, I was beyond happy.
It was both an opportunity for evolution and to satisfy my inner otaku. Who wouldn't want to see how an over 200ft Kaiju looked before they died?
And since I was the physical embodiment of one, the enthusiasm was lower than when I had been a mere human.
After giving my answer, space-time began to warp and swirl in itself, causing an unimaginable force of gravity to pull me into the terrific wormhole.
I was currently an evolved life form with a body strong enough to resist space turbulence, making gravity seem inconsequential.
My body and consciousness felt as if they were being encapsulated by inky darkness, warping my physical form and reality to connect me to a different space-time continuum.
In an instant, I appeared at the other side and before I could feel joy or look at my surroundings, I realized the damned [Dimensional Travel] had left me floating in the Earth's troposphere.
'Negative review for you guys.' And the accursed gravity began to pull me down to… Earth.
I decelerated down at high speeds but the friction generated didn't affect me due to my super heat-resistant skin.
Luckily, there was an ocean below me.
Ah, it was the Pacific. So cliche.
BOOM!
I nearly parted huge volumes of ocean water like Moses.
Steam instantly rose and began to create a fog around me but within a few seconds, it expired.
AWOOO!
I then gave in to my animalistic instincts and howled to the dark skies. The image of a young Kratos holding the blades of chaos while calling out Zeus's name menacingly, momentarily passed in my mind.
Suddenly, I sensed a disturbance in the force.
My electrodermal receptors picked up different electric fields approximately 10 miles away from where I was.
There was even some nuclear radiation being emitted.
'Two organic Lifeforms and the other must be… mechanical? It must be Jaegers.'
I immediately began swimming toward the source.

Back at the Hong Kong Shatterdome base, control room,
Tendo Choi stared at the radar that could capture energy spikes in the atmosphere, with a look of disbelief.
A red alert constantly blinks in and out of existence on the screen indicating the extreme danger level posed by the unknown entity, 15 miles off the coast of Hong Kong.
"Marshal, we have another problem. Another Kaiju just appeared out of nowhere and is now heading toward our Jaegers." Tendo immediately told the Marshal with a sense of urgency in his voice.
The Marshal, Stacker Pentecost, was a tall, handsome black man with a moustache and he was dressed in a conspicuous military uniform embedded with a medal of honours. A stern, no-nonsense expression hung on his face.
He looked like the brooding type.
"Can you identify its category?" Marshal Pentecost asked.
"That's the problem, sir. Our detectors have never sensed something like this. I even doubt if it's even the same type of Kaiju as the ones we are currently fighting." Tendo pressed a few keys on the keyboard, trying to compile whatever information he could about the new entry.
"The bio signatures it is giving off are completely different from those emitted by the Breach. Another mystery is that it appeared from the sky, instead of under the sea."
Marshal Pentecost rubbed his chin in contemplation.
"Show me the visuals."
Tendo immediately typed away and within a few seconds, a satellite image zoomed in on the screen.
Marshal Stacker Pentecost squinted his eyes in concentration.
"A giant space wolf that can swim?" Utter disbelief oozed from the Marshal's voice as the red dot on the screen travelled within a few seconds.
"This new entity is truly not of the same species as any Kaiju. Its physiology, life's signature… I think we have another invasive species that we currently don't know anything about heading toward Hong Kong." Tendo exclaimed in nervousness.
"Prepare Gipsy Danger to be on Standby ASAP!" Marshal Pentecost commanded as he cast a grave expression on the screen.
Without warning, droplets of blood started to bleed out of his nose and fell to the ground.
Marshal Pentecost immediately removed a handkerchief from his pocket and quickly wiped the blood.
His face was pale for a moment before his facial expression hardened.
'I don't have much time, Mako.' He thought before sighing.
He truly had a lot on his shoulders but the present situation required all the available help they could get.
Humanity risked extinction if the Breach wasn't destroyed!
The countdown was still on. It was truly the end of times.
"God have mercy on us all," Tendo mumbled a prayer and his nearby colleagues gazed at him as if they were seeing Santa without a beard.
"What?" Tendo widened his arms in retaliation.
"Tendo, yesterday you said that you didn't believe in religion and divinity. Didn't you say nihilism is the way to go, no?" A slender workmate questioned.
"Uh, I never said jackshit. I have always believed in miracles and… er, salvation?"
"Gentlemen, be serious please!" Marshal Pentecost reprimanded sternly.
