Suspicious

Opening her own house's door, she saw as lights in the kitchen were lit.

"K-Keiichi-san?"

Calling for her husband, her teeth were trembling as she wasn't really the kind of person able to remain calm during this kind of situations, but, the fact she still held her son's hand, brought her to nod as she found a bit of courage.

Seeing how much she was struggling to enter their house, Kyouya was super excited as he was deadly silent.

'Is it some kind of game where we have to sneakily enter our house to find if there's someone inside?'

He was the kind of child, between his friends, who wasn't scared of these things, so he wanted to hold his position proudly.

'Hehe, I will make Masayoshi admit how cool I am!'

Thinking this, he held his mother's hand more tightly as the two quickly arrived at their destination.

Peeking silently to see if maybe she just forgot the light on, she saw a person sat on the chair with a

bottle of alcohol in his right hand, while his face was pressed against the table.

Remembering his clothes were indeed the ones Keiichi was wearing this morning before he left to go to work, Kyouya's mother felt her legs weak as she slumped to the ground while releasing a huge sigh of relief.

'I was so scared...'

Seeing his mother like this, Kyouya thought she felt weak all of a sudden.

"M-Mother! Are you okay!?"

Hearing his son, she embraced him as she replied with tears in her eyes

"Yes…It's fine…I just felt my legs weak. Don't worry"

Saying this, she tried to get up as Kyouya helped her

"I will help you..."

Smiling at him, she accepted his help while she turned to look at Keiichi

"Keiichi-san! Why you didn't tell me you were returning home for lunch? Did something happen?"

Asking this, she waited for a reply from him but, he didn't say anything. Now thinking he was trying to make some kind of joke, Kyouya's mother smiled as she added

"You know, it worked this time, but you won't fool me two times in a row!"

She expected him to raise his head and finally stopping this, but, that didn't happen. While she was saying these words, Kyouya shook his head as he added

"Maybe dad is tired! Let's bring you to bed for now…"

Hearing his son, she felt her legs still trembling, even though she knew it was just a joke. Deciding to do as he said, she nodded while returning her focus on him.

"Y-Yes...thanks, Kyouya"

Glancing at Keiichi, she now fully believed it was as his son said, even though the bottle of alcohol that was on the table made her twitch slightly.

'I remembered Keiichi-san didn't like alcohol...'

Deciding to ask him at a later date, she tried to walk slowly as Kyouya guided her.

'What a pathetic mom I am… I'm still so scared that my legs seem useless now....'
