34 Chapter 4: Visit

"So this is the place." Emi muttered as she stared at the large Inn in front of her.

Last night, after that proclamation from Maou about her being his general, they started to bicker.

Even though she might have been targeted by the heaven, but she was still the hero! There's no way she'd accept that!

And her years of training and killing demons won't allow her to fully trust a demon, especially since he was the King of Demons.

So she decided to observed him. After all, the Maou she knew is someone who doesn't care about about the lives of people, treating human lives less than bugs he could squash.

There's no way he'd easily trust the words of someone like that.

She was alone in this mission, so she needs to be careful. Emerada is holed up in her room playing games with a new friend she have just made.

As for Albert, he was working as a construction worker.

Her friends are busy, so its up to her to fulfill this mission on her own hands.

Taking a deep breath, she opened the door of the Inn, "Excuse me."

"Hn?"

Emi paused as she observed the person in front of her. It was a girl around her age, with purple hair, green eyes similar to her, wearing a dark purple blouse and a white skirt and a black stockings.

Emi's eyes trailed to the girl's chest and she grimaced, 'Damn those are huge.' She may not look like it, but Emi is actually pretty insecure about her chest size.

"A visitor?" the girl, Sagiri muttered in surprise. Yuragi Inn is really not a place for ordinary humans to visit. So it could only mean that girl is far from ordinary...or maybe it was just her paranoia.

After all, she is a Ninja.

'Though..she looks really pretty.' Sagiri thought to herself. As someone whose body was trained for battle since young, she was very insecure about her femininity.

Thus, the staring contest of the two girls envying each other began.

"Hm? Oh Emi, you're pretty early huh." At that moment, Alex suddenly appeared and called out to Emi, breaking the rather strange atmosphere created by the girls who are envying each other.

"Hm? Alexander Gremory?" Sagiri turned her head in surprise. For a ninja like her to not sense his presence until he spoke...she needs more training. She thought to herself.

'Though I guess its to be expected from a Transcendental.'

"Of course I'm early." She scoffed before taking a glance at Sagiri, "Hello there, I'm Emi Yuusa, its nice to meet you."

"O-Oh, nice to meet you too. I'm Sagiri Ameno." She smiled and greeted her back, 'How does Alexander know this girl?'

Alex smiled, "Well, come on in Emi, we were just about to have breakfast, you can join us. Alice is waiting for you."

Emi sighed. Last night, they also made a deal, that she would at least act to be Alice's mother. However, she really doesn't have any idea on how to be a mother.

She grew up without one after all.

Alex turned around and walked towards the dining room as Emi and Sagiri followed after him.

"So.." Emi began, "Has that man did anything...weird to any of you?"

"W-Weird? What are you—Cough, No, not that I know of why?"

Emi narrowed her eyes when she saw Sagiri getting flustered, "...Let me tell you something, do not trust that man. He's a scum, the lowest of all scum, a bloodthirsty, corpsehungry demon scum."

Of course she made sure to say that out loud for Alex to hear. But the Demon King just ignored it and continue to walk.

Sagiri frowned, she may not know what's the relationship of this girl has with Alex, but there's just no way she'd allow her friend to be called that, "...I don't see that demon you're talking about. Alex is a good man, and cares deeply for his daughter, there's no way he's the kind of man you described him to be."

"Kind huh..." Emi remained silent after that as she stared Alex's back. 'There's no way the King Of Demons who destroyed cities, towns, and villages can be kind.'

Even though her main reason for slaughtering demons is to avenge her father, she'd be lying if she felt no hatred for them aside from that.

During her journey with her friends, they saw the devastation caused by Satan's Demon Army.

Mutilated corpse, destroyed buildings, lands burning, demons eating humans, demons raping women, and many more.

She was sure, a man who rules those demons is anything but kind.

She may not actively kill him due to the relationship he has with her mother, but she won't actively help him either.

Currently, they are just on a temporary truce due to common enemy.

"We're here." Alex announced as he opened the door of the dining room.

"Good morning, my liege." Ashiya greeted him, as Alice was sitting on his lap. Even though he was busy running his café, he still have time for breakfast and dinner.

"Papa~!"

"Oh? Alex-chan~! Here! Here!" Nonko waved her hand before she patted the spot next to her. "Sit, sit, Chitose-chan and Yuuna-chan is almost finished preparing breakfast."

Alex smiled at her as he looked at the room. There's Nonko, beside her is Yaya, then on the opposite side of them is Ashiya and Alice.

He looked at his daughter and smiled before he came and picked her up from Ashiya, "Hey Alice, look who came to meet you."

"Hm?" Alice tilted her head as the door of the dining room once again opened.

The first who walked in is Sagiri, who just bowed at them before sitting beside Yaya.

Then the next who walked in is a beautiful young woman with magenta hair, and emerald green eyes, the Yuragi residents was confused about the newcomer.

While Ashiya narrowed his eyes as he felt that the woman was really familiar somehow.

But that was all cleared up when Alice shouted, "Mama!"

They paused and stared at the redhead with wide eyes, with Sagiri and Ashiya having the most intense reaction.

Alice reached out her two little hands as she gave Emi a wide smile, "Mama! Mama!"

Emi gave her a stiff smile, as expected she really wasn't used to this "Mama" thing, but looking the little girl's longing and joyful look she couldn't help but sigh.

She walked towards Alice as she glanced at Alex, who just gave her a nod before she picked up Alice on her hands.

Alice smiled as she buried her face to her mama's chest before she look up to her, "Mama...please don't go again."

"Eh? Ah, yeah. I won't." Though she was startled by the request, she responded rather quickly.

It was at that moment...

"WAIT! Wait! Wait! Wait!" Ashiya stood up and pointed his finger at Emi, "Hero Emilia?! What are you doing here?! Let go of the Princess right this instant!"

Alice turned to look at him and gave a pout, "Alsheel, bad, don't yell at mama."

"B-B-But princess she's—" he couldn't come up with any more words, even when he saw Emi looking at him with a smug look, he could only grit his teeth and clenched hid fist, 'That Bitch! Your time will come!'

"W-What's the meaning of this!? Alexander Gremory!" Sagiri questioned as she stood up and stared at Alex intensely.

"Oh my~" Nonko just gave a smile as she observed what's happening, maybe she could even take a few reference for her manga.

Alex scrathed his cheeks as he replied, "Well, everyone, this is Emi Yuusa, and as Alice stated, she is Alice's mother."

"H-H-How?"

Alex tilted his head, "What do you mean how? Do you not know how babies are made? Well its when—"

Emi sent a perfect jab at Alex, which he easily caught and gave her a grin. Her eye twitched, "You shut up! Or I will really cut off your head!"

"Heh."

"What's with that "heh"?! Are you doubting me huh?!"

"Mama, scary~"

Sagiri just watched their interaction with wide eyes before she sat back down.

Nonko just gave her a pat on the shoulders, "Don't worry Sagiri-chan, you still have a chance, you can just NTR Emi."

The ninja blushed and gave Nonko a glare, "Shut up! I have no intention of doing that at all! Or more like, what do you even think of me?!"

Nonko just laughed and decided to ask Alex a question, "Hey Alex-chan~"

"Hm? What is it Nonko?" He turned towards the Oni and ignored the fallen hero, much to her ire.

"Say~ How come Alice doesn't have any similarities to any of you? Is she perhaps adopted~? Well, if you feel that its too personal then you don't have to answer~"

Alex looked at his daughter who was looking at Nonko while sucking her forefinger, as he frowned.

"Alice, don't do that." He said as he took her finger from her mouth and wiped it with handkerchief.

He then turned to look at Nonko and answered, "Well, its not really personal. Its a bit complicated, but she's really our daughter, let's just say Alice inherited her looks from her grandmother."

"Oh~? Okay."

Alex then lead the hero to sit down, as Ashiya was looking at her like he will immediately attack if she as much as make a one wrong move.

At that moment, Chitose and Yuuna arrived bringing trays with them.

"Everyone! Breakfast's ready!"
